I cannot in good conscience recommend this lab to anyone. The wait times are absolutely exasperating, with my blood work taking a staggering 1.5 hours to complete. It was evident that the facility was short-staffed, and it appeared that the lone technician on duty was prioritizing ECGs over blood work. This left those of us in need of blood work waiting for an extended period.

Furthermore, the staff's demeanor was also far from ideal, displaying impatience, a lack of personal touch, and a dearth of empathy.

In summary, the long wait times, apparent staffing issues, and the staff's repeated errors and unaccommodating attitude make this lab a place I would strongly advise against visiting.

Got here 5 mins before my 10: 10 appt. Was told to wait. Another person arrived for his 10: 15 and was attended before me. Waited another 20mins, and at least one other person (a walk-in with no appt) was seen before me. What's the $%@&$ point of making an appointment?

Rudest receptionist to all patients, even the elderly. Cant believe the lack of compassion and understanding.

Good day. I wasn’t at all pleased with my experience at the clinic. It wasn’t just my interaction with staff but also what I observed of them while waiting.

First, people are not going there because they want to. Your clients are there to get tests that in the best of situations are for prevention measures, in the worse to help diagnose an illness or measure the effectiveness of ongoing treatment. With that said, your reception workers shouldn’t be so cold and unwelcoming when we check in.

Second, I witnessed a male questioning an older women just before drawing her blood. I couldn’t understand why he thought it was necessary to question her up to three times when is her birthday. After answering with her birthdate the first time (and each time following), you could hear the confusion in her voice when he repeatedly asked it over and over, until he finally said that’s not what I asked you. His issue was that he was asking for when is her birthday and not when she was born.

Third, signs everywhere say that the seating and equipment are sterilized after a patient gets up/before a new patient sits down. I didn’t witness that after use and when a new patient sat down. Other technicians may follow this procedure, mine didn’t.

Lastly, having recently learned about Staff infections I am concerned that the technician gave me the faintest swab passing over the area I was to receive the needle, only two times with little to no pressure.

My intention is not to trash this clinic but provide feedback required for the need of obvious improvement.

Went to this lab and I’m impressed! I know I have a tiny and difficult vein but this sweet young lady Jackie took my blood she got it at first try! I didn’t feel anything! She worked Very efficient, well skilled, she knows what she’s doing and very professional! She’s nice not just for me but to all patient coming in this lab!

I had a very pleasant experience with this lifelabs location. I was completing my 2 hour pregnancy glucose testing and received great care and attention from Arlene. I truly appreciate when medical professionals go above and beyond to make their patients feel comfortable and cared for. Thank you, Arlene!

I visited this clinic for the first time hoping to get a blood test and I was appalled at how rude the Receptionist lady with the short blonde ish hair was.
Rushing to get there before it closed and not realizing masks were required as I hadn't been to get a blood test done in a while. She first rudely indicates masks are required as "this is health care" when she easily could of been polite about that. Asks to look at my requisition form and then goes on to abrumptly say this is an AM appointment which I hadn't realized and then goes on to tell me to come in the morning before 10am. I was too stunned at how rude she was to even retaliate and was not in the mood to even entertain that. She could have offered to book me an appointment. I had been hoping to get in as it's difficult to come during work hours. Had she have asked it would have been a different story instead, I left upset and disappointed at how rude she was. I also looked at how low the reviews were for this clinic prior and thought to myself it can't be that bad let me just try, clearly I made the wrong decision.
I would expect patience, integrity and understanding in a health care environment. Not what I expected at all going there.

My least favourite lab personnel is rude and everything looks not clean.
You can go to the other location on 3101 Bloor it’s much better there.

Worse experience that I had my partner and I. They asked her to send a copy of her work permit when they never told her to bring one. When asked about her full name the persons on the front desk kept getting confused. Terrible service

Hate going here. It's always something. This time they were OK mood but the person who drew blood deliberately was holding the needle at a weird angle- it felt as though she weaved into and out of the vein and held it. It felt like the needle was about to stick out from within vein. Huge bruise that still hurts and my wrist area still has a pinching feeling even though she didn't put the needle there.

Great convenient location close to the subway and main street. Can get busy, so try to make an appt 1st. The technicians are great and very friendly. Usually Mondays and Fridays look the busiest in my opinion.

After reading those reviews I was really concerned in attending at this unit, but I arrived at 7.40 in a walk in without appointment (because I couldn't find a reasonable slot time at the website to book online) and just had to wait 40min, nothing bad to complain of how I was treated.

Just arrived and the receptionist was very abrupt and rude but then for the older lady that was behind me was kind and attentive. I don't know if it's because I am a male? Was told a 45 minute wait for me as a walk-in, which I am totally fine for. Hopefully the technicians are a bit more courteous. I will update after I have completed my experience here.

UPDATE as I wait: Another lady for walk-in came in and the receptionist was again abrupt, rude, and not nice at all. Then once the receptionist realized the walk-in used to work here her demeanor instantly changed and was as nice as pie to the lady once she realized she was a former employee.

Further Update while waiting: I guess it must be that the receptionist is a bit bi polar because there is no rhyme nor reason for the randomness she is treating some people with excellent service and others like they are bothering her and with those people she is rude, abrupt and couldn't give a damn attitude.

Painfully slow. Noone in the rooms and still took them 15 minutes to see the next person. Don't come unless you have an hour to kill.

I have never had an issue here like other reviewers have commented on. I always make sure to make an appointment online to eliminate any wait times. Plan ahead, and they will see you at your appointment time or sometimes before even if they are busy. Sometimes theres a line out the door and its completely full and they still see me at the appointment time. Not all techs are the most polite but for the most part they are super nice and they see a lot of people everyday too.
