I wouldn’t even give this lab 1 star. I took my mom here to get her blood work done, in which she had an appointment for, the ladies at the front desk are very rude, snobby, and unprofessional. Majority of them couldn’t speak proper english, then was rude when we couldn’t understand them. There was a misunderstanding about the requisition needed for the appointment, they couldn’t even handle that professionally. I would not suggest going here unless it’s your only choice.

On this day Tuesday Oct 3,2023 I witnessed some of the worst customer service at this location. The young lady, neck length hair, slim with glasses triaging everyone at the desk precisely around 8am was incredibly rude. I am not one to give such terrible reviews but this was infuriating. I stood in line and observed her as she berated folks so much so that her coworker beside her made faces that you can tell she was uncomfortable. This type of behaviour when servicing the public is unacceptable! Raising your voice and talking about people's personal business very loudly, what is wrong with you? We all have bad days, I get it and dealing with people all day can be stressful especially when things aren't going as smooth as they could or should but have some compassion lady. Do you think people coming in for blood work amongst other things want to be there? Then to have you raising your voice and embarassing them at the desk on top of whatever health issues they might be dealing it. I saw her speak down to 3 people, one after the other and address them all in a very inappropriate tone. If you're that upset to do your job then maybe take a friggin day off. I literally walked out, I refuse to interact with someone who speaks like that. Location at Belmont was much better for customer service. Thank you to the sweet ladies there, when they had to turn folks away they were not inappropriately rude like the one at the counter on the boardwalk this morning! There needs to be some retraining here, unacceptable!

Just left LifeLabs after getting my blood work done… Professional medical service provided in organized setting. Why am I rating your place with only 2 stars than?
Young lady at reception has ZERO customer service skills! Watched her attending 4-5 patients in a borderline rude way. I understand you need to set the tone to be efficient in what you do and keep the flow of patients but you can backup that with few words like “ good morning, please, thank you etc. ” Remember “ kindness is contingent”. If you don’t go to anyone of your rooms and read laminated placards on the wall! 5 times in a row so it sinks in…if not find yourself different workplace…

Appointment went out but level of unprofessionalism from the techs/reception is unacceptable. People waiting for their appointment time shouldn't be privy to the staff arguing over when they take their break times, where completed paper work is set on the table or opinions around which staff or patients are taking covid safety precautions seriously. So uncomfortable to witness and listen to.

Would rate them less than one star if i could. Today i witnessed the mistreatment of a customer. On arriving I saw a mask was required. Dutifully, I asked staff for one and was obliged. I was seated when a few minuets latter an elder man and his son arrived. The elder had no English, nor did either have masks. There were confronted, and that was exactly what it was, in a booming voice the same staff person who had serviced me, challenged them over masks. She became defensive when the elder did not aqueous to her and was proceeding hobbling toward the desk. This lead to a loader voice despite seeing there was somebody trying to help the older foreign gentleman. She did not offer them a mask from her supply, but waited while they left, only latter to return masked. On return she reverted to a loud offensive tone.confrontational. The staff person actions were certainly rude and offensive, but they also bordered upon discrimination. After that I began watching her interplay with other customers of varied background. My conclusion: a 101 refresher course in interpersonal, customer service and racial skills is required.

The staff at this location is great, but senior management is a joke (I'm a business owner and I would be embarrassed to be a part of this organization). My blood requisition included no mention of whether I needed to fast, so I called Lifelabs to ask a very basic question to confirm. I waited on line for possibly 20 - 25 minutes before the service person tells me they couldn't answer this question, and suggested that I drive to the location and ask. WHAT? LOL. For me, this means a 30 minute drive, just to ask a basic question? I hung up and called back hoping to get a different person. Now the answering system informed me that their lines were busy and to call back on a different day / time. Are you serious? So I drove there, and stood in line for 30 minutes only to find out that I needed to fast. In total - 3 hours of my day wasted ONLY because Lifelabs couldn't answer the most basic of questions. Remarkable. Senor management's own family clearly don't use their own service, because otherwise they would have solved simple solutions like this long ago. Also, while I was there a kind old woman ahead of me in the line asked the nurse how she could book a followup apt as she was diabetic and needed a second blood test etc. The nurse suggested to book it on line, but the customer (she was probably 80 years old) said she didn't have a computer. The nurse responds "well, you could come in here to book something". The woman said "can I call you? ". Nurse "we don't allow incoming calls". I can just imagine this little old lady taking a bus across town to book an apt for a different date. LOL. Is this 2021 or 1990? Let's do a little test to prove my point that management is not even paying attention. This post is May 7,2021. Let's see how many months / years it takes for someone in senior management to respond to me. I'll put it in my calendar to check this post once per month. Should be fun. LOL

Would rate them less if I could. I arrived at a few minutes past 7, by 8: 15 I had still not been seen for simple blood work. While their staff seem friendly, they knew they have problems, even apologizing as I approached the counter for a third time. They seemed unorganized, computer illiterate, and worst, process driven and not customer focused driven. The whole point of arriving at opening is to receive prompt, effective, and somewhat courteous service. A minor thing to expect at 7 AM. They simply did not deliver.

I avoid this LifeLabs location at all costs - recently my doctor wanted to send my requisition here and I suggested a different location further from work/home.

I had a terrible experience in April 2016 - the technician who was taking my blood was not well trained, or was nervous, not sure what her deal was. My doctor needed three different samples for testing. When she went to insert the second vial to collect a second sample, she kept pulling the needle in and out of my arm - I had to ask her to stop. She was so frazzled that she lost (or stole) a vial of my blood. There was another technician that was called in to finish up. She could not track down the missing vial of blood that the first technician "lost". She checked the garbage, she checked the used needle deposit, she checked drawers - it was no where to be found. She had to start all over again on my left arm. I had massive bruising on my right arm that lasted a couple of weeks. I called LifeLabs and submitted a formal complaint - I was told a supervisor or manager would follow up with me. No one ever contacted me. I called a second time, but again, no follow up regarding my concerns, my biggest concern being the missing vial of blood. Beware!

Amy Rae, is by far the best nurse I have ever dealt with in the past. She was understanding, friendly and had amazing bedside manner and put you at ease for a not so pleasant for some procedure. The extra care that she provided should truly be honored and recognized by Life Labs. We need more people like you in the world! Thanks again for a great experience:)

Great lab. I can check in on my phone and no need to wait. The estimated wait time is accurate. Can check results next day online.

I meant to post this review a couple months ago but I became caught up with school. I was recently reminded about my experience, when a friend of mine shared her own, horrible experience, with me.

To anyone that needs blood drawn, to people that are apprehensive, or have a fear of needles, I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. Joanna took my blood and made the whole experience so painless and easy. She was really efficient, while being kind and thoughtful.

The next time I go I can ask for her!

I've gone here many times but my last two experiences have been terrible. Both times I went for bloodwork the girls who drew my blood failed to find a vein. I had to get another person for both visit to get it done correctly and quickly. I don't know what's going on here but they need to retrain some of their employees because this can't continue to happen.

The girl named Sukie is extremely rude. I walked in, and didn't see a line so I went straight to her and said "Hello! " with a smile, and all I got was a rude look and "One minute. " Wow. Miserable person! I was standing there waiting for her to acknowledge me for 10 minutes. Nothing. A different lady had to come and help me and she was very nice. I drove all around town for an hour trying to find a lab that would take me in at such late time. I'd rather drive out of town than come here again! I do NOT recommend this place!

Awesome staff, nice and updated waiting room. You have a TV with a list displaying the walk-in line so you can see where you are in the queue and an approximate wait time.

I had booked an appointment, but I went on a Monday, not realizing my appointment was on a Tuesday. I chose to wait and the receptionist told me she would try to push me through faster. I was out within 15 minutes all said and done! Great place, very kind staff.

Very nice nurse! A little bit of a wait but that's to be expected. Helped my daughter when she passed out! Very friendly!

Best location I've been to. Staff are friendly and professional. There is room for people to sit without feeling cramped. They are quick and efficient, and actually honor appointment times unlike some other locations.
