If I could give 0 stars, I would give 0! Horrible staff. The monitor shows wait time of 13 minutes, after 49 minutes of waiting, I get a rude answer when I ask about my turn. Like no courtesy or decency. At least try to set the expectation from the start.

Always have online appointments and is less than 5 min waiting, so recommended to get online appointments, normally early morning appointment is available in two weeks, otherwise waiting time for walking is almost an hour, another good point for life lab is you can see your results online if you have account.

We went here with an appointment but had to wait for 40 minutes because they are not organized and skipped us. After I noticed they are calling people who came after us, I inquired and was told they already called me. Meanwhile I was sitting right there. Advocate for yourself as they are very disorganized and confused.

I had my 1-year old son to have a blood test. We 're very cooperative, but the nurse still missed the vein. I asked her to withdraw and try again, but she insisted on searching the vein with the needle in the arm! I was terrified by such an awkward skill! Even an adult can hardly tolerate such a pain, not to mention a 1-year old baby! It was a torture! Be careful if you send your baby there!

I’ve been there 4 days in a row, they are really short staffed. You must be so patient to tolerate how slow they go. The staff are working but it doesn’t seem like they are working.

Terrible. I've lived in Richmond hill for 12 years. I live very close to this location and have been there about five times over the years. Every time I've waited a ridiculous amount of time (appointment or not). Today I arrived at 2: 45pm, no appointment but, there were only few people there. I was told the approximate wait time 30 minutes. I WAS THERE FOR 1 HOUR & 45 MINUTES. I Never would have stayed if I knew that. Only two staff members were there, ridiculous. Its been years guys.get new management. I have to drive to Hwy 7 & Woodbine for good service. I'm supposed to have bloodwork (cultures) when I have a fever. It's hard to know that in advance. Some people are sick and need to do bloodwork last minute.
The woodbine location is great but, its a drive for me.
Every time there is an excuse at the Harding location. Covid, short staff, no appointment. C'mon guy's get it together.

I really like this location. It’s true sometimes you have to wait about 15-30 min even if you do have an apt, to be fair it’s a very busy location.
All the nurses are great and they are all incredibly skilled at drawing blood.
I’ve had terrible experiences having my blood drawn at other places but not here. Every time it is quick, painless and no bruises.

Horrible horrible staff and atmosphere. I'm sure thier jobs are hectic and stressful. But it seems to have taken a toll on the workers. They seem to have lost thier sense of humanity and compassion. They were extremely rude to most people waiting in line. What bugged me the most is when an elderly lady waiting in line came up to the desk crying because she was upset the staff sent her home the other day after waiting a really long time. They told her to stop crying and kept asking what's wrong without actually listening to what she was saying. Then they said 'ok you can cry! ' And all the staff and some patients bursted out laughing. Was ready to tell them off but I wanted her to get her test done. DO NOT COME HERE. It's a sad sad place.

The absolute worst place to go to in GTA for blood test. Most staff are rude and unfortunately have no empathy. I arrived 40 minutes before they closed and was told “why did you come so late”. Why would you ask a patient this question? You think we come last minute to make your life harder? You think people choose a life where they have to work 2-3 jobs at a time to make ends meet? I only come to this location when I am desperate. The anxiety, discomfort and horrible environment always makes me feel worst than I already do. I know this location is always short staffed, I know that isn’t the fault of the people working at this clinic because they are also exhausted and sick of these working conditions. I will be filing a formal complaint with LifeLabs and if possible Ministry of Health. Everything about this location is bad. They mix up the order and take patients that come later (without appointment) go ahead of those already waiting a long time. They make you wait for hours sometimes while there are staff members chatting around. I can write an essay about why this location should close or hire new management or go under investigation for the inhumane way they treat their patients.

I want to add that this review is not from only one experience. Myself and my family have gone here on and off for the past 7 years… things just seem to be getting worse instead of better.

They are really one of the worst! Can never find the vein for blood test and once they injected the nerve, not only it hurt so much at the moment, but even 2 months after my hand hurt every time I moved it in a certain way.

There's no water dispenser in this location which is a must for a lab. You gotta ask the staff for water and they give you a negative attitude. Long waits and not friendly staff.

Poor customer service.
Stuff is very rude and making jokes about the customers that ask questions. They talk their language, I think it’s persian. Waiting lines are huge and the place is very messy.

I’m surprised to find so many negative reviews at this location. To be honest, the wait is long but I was a walk-in and thankful they accepted us.

They called out for people with appointments amongst a sea of those of us who couldn’t get an appointment; and were genuinely trying to move the line and serve everyone. They are short staffed but shouldn’t we be thankful these people come to work knowing our hospitals are overwhelmed? Please be patient and kind.

I advise for walk ins to come as early as possible and be prepared to wait at least an hour to two hours. If you can’t do that, book the appointment and walk up to the front (don’t line up) to tell them you have an appointment.

Came twice for the same thing.

Front desk is using strange methods to get walk-in people into lines and in a front of people with appointments. I have never seen anything like this in my life.

If you are smart, use different location to save your nerves.

Some of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever seen working at a lab. Super rude to the patients, for one, but worse than that is that they were rude to each other in front of patients. I don’t know what kind of bad blood they had with each other but they were loudly arguing with each other, and their arguing made my blood work take so much longer than it needed to. Being difficult and rude to each other in front of the patients is honestly something I have never seen before I was really surprised. Left me sitting in the waiting room while everyone just went in before me all because of some fight they were in. Honestly my worst experience at a lab ever.

The front desk staff was extremely rude. I arrived almost 30 minutes earlier than my appointment. My name registered and enrolled in their waiting list there were a few people waiting and few more came as walk-in. All people (before & after me) processed but me. When I asked why my file is being held, they replied (not friendly at all) you have to wait until your exact time even in second s!
I never come again and never recommend this unfriendly place to anyone.
Neither friendly nor cooperative.

On Saturday, I went for a walk-in. I've gone to laboratories before where they constantly poking me with needles in my arm to find a vein, but Mahshid was super friendly and incredibly professional! She found my vein on the first attempt! It was so painless!

I've had my blood taken many times, at hospitals and different LifeLabs. This one had the only nurse who was able to find my veins in one try! Last time at the hospital it took them 3 different people and 4 needles to find one. Very fast, was in and out in less than half an hour.

This location is not reliable. Unprofessional staff, chatting and laughing in their own language at reception area.
Some staff do NOT know what they are supposed to do. Missing certain lab works. Had to ask the staff multiple times to get every test to be done.

The receptionist was very loud and unpleasant, there was some confusion over the address my doctor had written in my requisition so she decided to quiz me about it across the entire waiting room, and even after I went in to the room inside I could hear her complaining about it loudly and rudely.

Completely shocked at this experience and will never return here again.

I had an appointment at 10: 15 am, I received at 10: 10
The lab is located in basement, the gentleman at the door was directing everybody in to the small hallway. There were more than 15 people waiting there, the 6 feet safe distance was not followed, no ventilation in basement hallway. When I ask who is the manager they said the supervisor is not working today! I ask the reception lady to get the phone number Nad call one by one, she said, I can't. I explained that it's not safe, you can not keep all people, some seek and some coughing together in a confined space. It's again the law. Everywhere is shot down and you are responsible for your client safety. I was completely ignor and a lady who was extremely rude asked me to leave. This is a shame for a place where is under public health regulations. No monitoring, no supervision, no respect and no responsibility. I would never go back to Life Lab even If I have to pay.

I had Worse experience in this location, I was pregnant and I had to do my test while I was fasting and also I had dibities as well so it was obvious that I was starving they gave me appointment for 1 hour later and after I went there on time for my blood test I was told to go to 1 of the rooms and yet we waited another half an hour in the room, after my husband complained to them they came and got my blood. It was really bad experience as I almost fainted after starving more than 2 hours only for 1 simple blood work.

This location is a disappointing joke. Horribly busy at all times. All I came here for was to drop off stool samples. Had all containers labeled correctly. They somehow screwed up the submission to Public Health and my tests were cancelled due to missing "patient identifiers". Never coming back here even if it's the last LifeLabs location on Earth

Happened today after 1pm, my father is very il with brain cancer! We got a document from Sunnybrook that stated "urgent blood work needed" (Sunnybrook contacted us same day and gave us this document an hour before we arrived to lifelabs), basically stating my father needs to go in without an appointment and blood gets sent out right away so he can continue his treatment. The lady refused my father despite what the document said and booked him for Wednesday Sept 1st. In other words my father wouldn't be able to get his treatment by ignoring the document and postponing the process to get his treatment. The whole experience was disheartening, and I find to be extremely unethical! She says they were short staff, but that's not an excuse since sunnybrook hospital needed those result right away!

I’ve never written a bad review before as I try to be understanding of all situations. The clinic was busy and short staff due to Covid, so I kept calm and tried to be patient. But, I waited nearly 3 hours to get blood work done, when online the wait time said it was 15 minutes. Communication was terrible from the moment I arrived. I was told to wait in my car and they would call me when to come down and if I don’t go down within 2 minutes, my spot in line will be lost. Close to 2 hours in I get a call that I was next in line. I go downstairs and wait patiently in the wait room for me to be next. Finally I was seated in a room and waited over an hour in it. After 45 minutes, I got up from the chair and looked outside the room to see all of the nurses having a little coffee break in the staff room. I asked if someone can assist me, given how long I was already waiting and they looked at me like how dare I interrupt their conversations.

Finally, someone ended up helping me. Only to find out of weeks on waiting, they “lost” my tests, which resulted in me having to go back and retake them. I will never be going here again. Spare yourself the time and frustration.

Dont go here. The staff treat you so poorly like they are doing you a favor. They make you wait forever even if you have an appointment or online check in. And from the 2 technicians i have had, extremely poor skills! Dont go here. I have been bruised terribly.

SHOULD BE RENAMED TO DEATHLABS.

Rude attitude from some of the employees and on top of that - they lost my test samples! That were time sensitive to process. Called me a week later and said that I need to come and give new samples because ones I gave are "not good". After asking for details why it wasn't checked on the same day as it should, they said its Labs fault‍️‍️‍️ now i had to reschedule doctor appointment and wait for another 3 weeks.

During this pandemic, I had to stay for 1 hour and thirty minutes in the first floor of the building (because we were not allowed to go in). There were no accommodations prepared for patients waiting. I went through all of this, just so the staff would look through their faxes (not throughly), and tell me they did not receive a fax from my doctor. They did not try to help and put time for someone who waited that long. Terrible experience!

Absolutely my worst customer service experience ever. I was standing at a front of the queue for about 15 minutes, the whole time the receptionist did not acknowledge my presence at all, she was making labels, finally I started talking to her asking would you want to get my requisition form and let me go and sit as my foot hurting, she said not now, I said Ok then I'll go and sit, another 10 minutes passed and she finally asked me to go to the counter, she got the requisition form and told me to wait for my name to be called, another 10 minutes passed, I noticed there was only one technician worked but she was reluctantly visited each boots with lot's of interval time doing nothing. It was a quiet time with only handful of patients. They sent me to one of the rooms. Here there was another 15-20 minutes wait. I checked other stations out of curiosity, noticed that those patients were unattended too. I went to the receptionist and I said if you don't have enough staff you could at least have a courtesy and let the people know about the wait time. After 2 minutes the technician appeared in my room and when I complained about the way they treat people, she said why don't you go to other labs, I said that's what exactly I do from now on.

The reason large lounge where people are waiting before entering the reception area. There is no chairs in this large room. The room has a big table with multiple signs on "do not sit on the table". People are pacing around or sitting on the floor.

Terrible management, nothing personal against the staff. A walk-in is basically impossible to do at this location. While the website reported a wait time of 18 minutes, we were forced to stay there 5 hours. Avoid this location at all costs, you'll have a better experience at literally any other lab. If you are unfortunate enough to visit this location, make an appointment.

Called the call centre last week to see if they received my requisition and waited 20 mins on the line. Someone picked up and transferred me to this location. I left a voicemail and no one called me back. So I booked an appt for 12: 30. Arrived at 12: 20 with about 5 people ahead of me to check-in. I’m at the front and I’m STILL WAITING to get checked in. It’s 12: 47. There’s only one lady working and she’s never at the desk. What’s the point of making an online appt for convenience and time? !

Update: it’s 12: 48 and I’m finally being served. They can’t find my requisition form. And asked me to call my doc. I did please double check. I saw my name at the front of the pile. The lady reluctantly double checked. And found it. I asked if there’s a fee and she said no. And rudely told me to have a seat. It will be another ten mins!

Update: she called me up and says it’s $55. My last nickel was American and she said she can’t accept it. I had enough. Took my money and my form and left.

Extremely Poor Customer Service. Zero care for checked-in patients time and their own scheduling system.

I checked in my daughter on the app at 7: 30 am so she can make it to school. Was given 18 min. Get there in 15 min and see my daughters name on screen with 3 mins timeline.
The receptionist called John is typing in the papers from walk-ins. Time is ticking and he is not taking any papers. The screen resets my daughter check-in to 25 mins as if we were no-show.

I say excuse me we have checked-in and were here on time but our place in line is reset. He is like uhuh uhuh. Doesn't even pay attention. I say it a couple of times before he says that check-in is just a place in line so you have to wait. There are three ladies chatting and joking around while patients are all waiting unprocessed. John asks one of the ladies called Kia to help process patients and she refuses saying I have to do this paper work.

Now he finally gets my daughter paper 20 mins after apps check-in time and instructs us to sit. I mention my daughter has a test in first period and we want to make that. We sit waiting.

Now the walk-in patient after us in line says sorry we have a doctor appointment and John sends her straight to the room and ahead of us who were checked-in and were waiting 25 mins!

Summary: A checked in patient may receive service after the announced time for walk-ins! Workers do not care.

First time at this location. Accessible and plenty of free parking. It can be busy during rush hour. My wait time wasn’t too bad 40 minutes in and out the door and staff that did my lab work was great

Checked in online and arrived within 5 minutes of when I was supposed to show up, but ended up waiting over an HOUR!
Multiple issues:
1. Had to wait in line with the rest of the walk-ins to register, even though my name was 2nd on the list.
2. Queue wait times on the board were not accurate at all - my 2 minute wait time ended up being 20+ minutes, before being called to a room.
3. After being called into a room, still had to wait another 20 minutes before a technician showed up.

Every time i go to this lab and have great experience with John.always smile, fast and great attitude, also people who is working there but there is a person Joanna who is extremely rude with sarcasm, perhaps she should learn how to speak appropriate with just a little bit respect to costumers. Hoping something will change because management is great as all employees there

Worst place ever for the blood test, they are not nurses, they stabbed me instead of gently injecting, my arm aced for the whole 3 months, It was so painful, couldn't open my arm without pain.

This lab is suppose to be open till 2pm on Saturdays. I went there at 1pm and they were closed. This is unacceptable and such an inconvenience to patients. This is not the first time this has happened either.

By far the worst life labs I have ever been to. I had to pay for some tests which was ok. When I went to use their debit machine the chip reader was not working. I couldn't tap because it was over 100$ and it would not let be swipe the card. They tried entering it manually, which obviously does not work if you know anything about debit machine security features. Then they have the nerve to say that I must not have enough money in my account. I pulled up my account online and showed them that they were wrong. They also got me to go upstairs and buy a pack of gum to show them that my card was functional. The audacity of these people is infuriating. I will never come to this location ever again.

Awful registration process. The guy at the desk barely looks at you directly. I'm sure he is busy in his desk, however if you are the only person registering people, please don't let the line be more than 15 people and still ignore everyone. Also, acknowledge your customers.
Also, if you don't have an appointment, don't bother going. You will wait about 40-60 minutes.

Went to get my bloodwork done for the first time at this location. Technician was undertrained and seemed new: she 'verified' ID with my personal information form in plain view, and did not know basic human anatomy by stabbing my arm thrice in the muscle causing immediate and lingering pain. Best of all she blamed me and didn't apologize when she forgot to tell me to relax after clenching my fist. The admin was also shady: they did not give my original form back and wrote down that I was returning when I expressly said I would not visit this lab again. The tech should have been fired for incompetence and trying to cover her shortcomings up.

There is an app called save my spot, use it.as soon as you check in you can start driving to the clinic as long as you will be there before your wait time is up.as soon as I got there and gave my health card they called me right in. It beats waiting for everyone in the waiting room to go. Nobody really likes their blood to be taken but the lab tech knew what she was doing and kept a positive environment.

What a horrible location. The nurses are harsh and rude to every patient. Granted nursing is a tough career but you chose it. I’ve seen them yelling at patients when they ask questions.

The waiting times are ridiculous and they only over work one nurse it seems looking after 8 stations. I waited 45 mins for a simple blood test

Such locations ruin the reputation of life labs

What is wrong with you people? The people who work here are Not Nurses! Stop saying they're Nurses. They take blood and other samples, they are medical lab technicians, and who cares if you have to wait 45 minutes to be seen, if you see a dentist or medical doctor you always end up waiting 30 to 45 minutes to see them?

Booked online. Feb 8 at 12: 10 pm. The reception guy was great, quick fast and efficient. Asked for a mask and was given right away. Was called right away for my blood work. Joanne is amazing! No bruising at all. Great experience. She's very professional. And made me feel comfortable. Great experience. And for those who are doing walk in, the wait time is 15 minute. Which is a great improvement compare with 3 years ago the wait time was 2 hours! BTW, if you hate waiting, book online, so you're given priority. And if you decide to do walk in, don't get mad because you have to wait your turn. Collecting blood is not easy. So suck it up and stop complaining because you have to wait. Life is all about waiting. Don't take it on the people who's trying to do their job and earn an honest living. Also make sure that your paper works are correct, so don't blame them, if they turn you down for incorrect documents, it's your responsibility. And make sure to bring your health card. Makes everyones life easy. BTW clients can get very rude too, these people have the right to work in an environment where they're not bullied, just because you want to be seen right away. Even waiting for food requires for you to wait. So suck it up.

Very slow service, receptionist male person was very rude and unfriendly. Wait time is longer than usual. No one seems happy. Staff behavior should not be like that. I'll never visit this branch again.
