The receptionist isn't friendly
Doesn't know how to acknowledge patients the moment they showed up in the clinic. No compassion at all. I would recommend DYNA care instead, way better, faster and they have compassion and care to the patients.

Scheduling is well managed. The staff meet client's expectation and appointments. I have been using the lab services in orleans for many years.

Worst service ever, the receptionist feels like wanna slap you of the way she talk, also no respect to talk to the patient,

Worst place to come to for any lab work. Either Canada’s universal healthcare system is totally broken or this company is totally irresponsible towards its commitments. There is a huge rush to get work done unless you make an appointment a week or two in advance. The Ontario government it seems is pushing for private healthcare. I do not recommend this place.

The waiting time on the website is a great feature to try to optimize your window to walk in. Service was super friendly and the technician was lovely and efficient. Great experience!

I had to get blood work done and I had to take four buses and the train to get here. I checked online and the website and and had no indication of any issues coming up. I finally get here after an hour and a half of travel, checked online again while on my commute and it states it was a 45 minute wait. I get to the clinic, no signs in the door. After being ignored in line for what felt like 10 minutes, the receptionist was cold and stated “we are not taking walk ins today and we are trying to fix it online”
Very dismissive, very inconvenient and wasted so much of my time. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I will NEVER be back

Woke up to pick up my friend to bring her to get blood work. Online it showed wait times 67 mins before she left her place at the opposite end of town. She worked her way so I could be her buddy (nervous) and she checked again on her way to meet me and said 45 mins. We get to Lifelabs in Orleans to be told it was appointment only. No where on the website did it say this and with these days with how far technology is there is no excuse for this. Lucky we were able to go Dynacare who graciously took us.

Last Thursday I went for blood work and the tech was trying to go so fast she hit a nerve on her first try, she took forever to remove the needle because she didn't notice and kept trying to make me relax my arm by shaking it and caused pain to still be a issue to this day. Needless to say she had to use a different arm.

Avoid! So busy that the staff are run off their feet. Even the signage is hostile. You can’t rely on the opening hours as they might not open on time, may have a waiting list before the opening hours start and may close at some uknown early time as they are too busy. Avoid.

Been going here for a very long time for bloodwork, always as a walk-in. They will find you someone to get the job done no matter how tough it may be. They seem short-staffed right now and all of the people are working incredibly hard. Wait times fluctuate and are to be expected in a place like this- not their fault. The staff are always friendly and respectful, as long as you are too. These are good human beings who are doing us favours. Thank you to the team.

I know they are short staffed but a very busy clinic should be well staffed.waited two hours for a simple blood test which took less than two mintues to administer.the waiting room was packed and many clients were standing.the tech was very efficient no bruising.

My husband goes there at 2 only to find a paper that says they closed early……. Who does that? Your business hours says you close at 6. This is not a small business where you can just pack up.

The best customer server I have ever seen in Ottawa labs.
Reception super nice and super helpful
When they took the blood I did not even feel it, the nurse super expert and professional.
If you want to do any blood test, I highly recommend this place

On Friday April 22,2022, I went to LifeLabs (1220 Place d'Orleans, Orleans, ON). I had a lab requisition and I was told to come back again at 8 am on Monday April 25,2022 to do the rest of the test.
I went back on Monday at 8 am and a couple of technicians asked me to call my doctor in order to bring a different requisition.
The next day, Tuesday April 26,2022, I went to the lab again. I met Celia.
She was understanding, knowledgeable and professional. She took care of the matter and she went above and beyond to help me with my lab requisition.
I'm grateful I had the chance to see her. Keep up the amazing work Celia the world needs more people like you.

Like others, haven't had a great experience at this clinic. We were told to wait outside. It seemed staff struggled to monitor the line outside with allowing people in. It was snowing and many people were getting cold. I did manage to get in about an hour later.
The actual staff member who did my draw was friendly & apologetic about the situation.

I use them anytime i need bloodwork! I am always pleased with how organized & professional they are! They’ve done brilliantly during this awful pandemic! Good job!

I have to frequently get bloodwork done due to my diseases, usually every 3-5 times a year, so I am quite familiar with this location, I prefer it because it's close to my home and the staff is always friendly, easy to talk to, efficient and quick, considering how rude some people are when they show up at times that are very busy expecting to be the priority and they didn't even make an appointment. I wish people would understand all the ladies there work as fast as they can and deal with a lot of people everyday, it isn't only about you. Show some appreciation, respect and kindness it makes everyone's day.
I have never had a problem getting in, booking an appointment online is very easy, the longest I have had to book ahead was 2 weeks but the majority of the time there's available slots within the week to 1 week. When I arrive I only have to wait anywhere from 5-15 minutes depending on the day, if I didn't book an appointment it can be a longer wait but I've never had to wait longer than 40 minutes, I like booking it though, that way I know I don't have to wait too long. Thanks Ladies for the great service in these trying times and trying to make it as comfortable for everyone the best you can.

One of the Staff here is very RUDE, She is tall and slim and looks like she is Native, she is the talest of the staff.she talks to people very rudely and doesnt care about anything. She asked me when was the last time i ate, and i responded yesterday, i expected her to ask what time wss the last time i ate but she didnt instead she screamed at me with a very loud angry tone like i was stupid.
Moreso, i was 1st on the line but she skipped my file and was calling other people who came after me.at some point one of the techs now asked her why she was skipping the files.seriously! She should be made to take some training on people skills as she is going to bring a very bad name to some of the wonderful techs that work there like the one that took my blood sample, she is amazing. I forgot to ask for her name, God bkess her soul.

Terribly inefficient here. Extremely long wait times especially considering they make you stand outside for an hour or more. Then more waiting seated inside.

I ONLY come here because it’s convenient and I like knowing my results. The dark skinned woman is the only nice one there. Don’t know her name. The one with the heavy accent is absolutely rude and makes you feel stupid. Does not greet you, just demands your papers. Like I said…this place is only convenient. Nothing more.

Worst service ever. They do not care about the patient's wellbeing. I was also lied to my face. I cannot believe how demeaning this experience was. I have timely and specific bloodtests to do for my fluctuating and fragile health. They proceeded to confirm that one of the bloodtests was sure to be done but when my doctor calls she tells me it was in fact not done. Now i have to wait another 3 months to retake the test, making for a total 6 months since my last results when I should be getting them every 3 months. Worst "healthcare" workers ever!

I am not sure if writing review makes a difference or not but after a few not so good experience I wanted to mention few issues. We were greeted with not a very friendly person and since I was getting bloodwork done for a visitor all the receptionist was concerned about was if I paid the exact amount. When I questioned why it was so high as the doctor had mentioned less amount all I got rudely was " I can go get it done somewhere else ".
I will look for another replace to go and I donot mind even traveling extra but never in this location.
The needle was too thick and left a big bruise o the arm as well. If I could give a zero staring would.

Roll the dice: Today was the second time that I arrived for an appointment only to leave without the work being done. They refuse to make an appointment at the clinic, you must use their online tool. Today they had no record of my appointment. On the previous occasion they closed at 3 on the Thursday before the Easter long weekend. On that occasion there were a couple of other patients who arrived for their appointments as well who found the door locked. The staff is nice enough; pleasant and professional if you get in but they need to sort out their booking system. This shouldn’t be an issue at a health CARE facility.

I had an appointment and after I am inside the room they totally forget for 45 minutes, until I had to remind them I had an appointment for 5: 00. Its so disorganized, the waiting line with/without appointment is so confusing

Lab itself was clean and infection prevention measures were in place. I heard, receptionist was screening for covid to others while I was in cubicle waiting for lab technician but we were not screened (she might forgot to screen us). It is considerable, however, lab techs.were wearing same gown going from person to person. I was asked to pay for couple tests those were not covered by OHIP (as they told me). We waited Lab tech.about 20-30 minutes after I paid and we were sent to cubicle- this is not bad too. The bad experience begins here. Lab tech.was not professional, she did not introduce herself had no name tag either. I understand, she was not communicating in her first language, but she was completely trying to avoid conversation with us, I felt like she is treating with non living things. My 11 years son was a bit nervous as this was his second blood work, she never tried to assure him during the process. She has done drawing blood and informed us ‘everything was done’. There were two separate requisitions- one for blood work and another for stool test. She never mentioned about second requisition. Finally I asked her if we can have any kit to collect stool. She completely denied there is no requirement to collect stool for the mentioned test. I tried to look at the requisition again before we leave, however, she was not co-operating professionally and we left. Later in the evening, received call from lab stating that we did not pick up test kit, and asked to collect. Three stars is for the convenience, cleanliness, walk-in and free parking. If you are thinking to go to this place, be ready for and expect some non-professional lab technicians.

The staff here is incredibly rude. They tried to rush me, they were condescending and they even sighed at me. When you are getting blood taken from you, you should be treated like a patient. I did not feel cared for and felt offended by their rudeness. If I could give negative stats, I would.

Very friendly and professional staff! They are busy and doing their absolute best to manage lines and wait times due to pandemic safety procedures. However, clear instructions were given and they were patient and genuinely caring in what they were doing!

I've been going to this Lifelabs location for many many years (well before the new rennovations) mainly for the care and friendliness of the staff. With Covid they apply the hand sanitizer so you don't touch anything. Fortuantely I've had the same person Silia/Cilia do my blood work the past FOUR times, twice this week and twice in past 2 years. She is friendly, upbeat, polite and always accommodating my request for a Butterfly needle. I normally have an appt and never wait more than five minutes like today but on Monday no appt but the wait was still only 15 minutes at 9AM. The waiting room and patient rooms are always clean and bright. I've tried other labs many years ago and they could never find my vein, but never once has this been an issue in all the years going to this location.

I am only giving 1 star because of the tech who drew my blood. If not for her, they would have received zero stars. Two very rude women at the front desk for no apparent reason. Spoke over me when I tried to speak, and answered me in a condescending tone. There were 2 other people in the waiting. I made the effort to book and appt because I had to fast. My appt was at 9: 40, but I finally left there 10: 25. What was the point of the appointment, I'm still not sure. The tech who came in to draw my blood said "Mrs. Sabourin, did you have an appt? " - "yes I did, at 9: 40" She said I'm sorry you should have been seen by now. Did you tell them when you registered that you did? I said yes but they were rude, and spoke over me. Will not return to this clinic unless I have no other option. These 2 women should not be in any kind of position that involves customer service.

They printed out other’s prescriptions and gave them to me. Fortunately I double checked the birthday and address before they did the exam. I was this close to do other’s test and God knows who will do mine. The staff were pretty cool with this mistake, didn’t consider it a serious problem or apologize. Instead, they found a way to blame my family doctor for this. Honestly, I will never return or recommend anyone to this terrible place.

Very disorganized. People with and without appointments don’t know if they should wait outside or enter. The reception deck is useless, can’t even make eye contact with patients. I was greeted with a miserable women who seemed more concerned about shoving the next cheeseburger in her mouth instead of explaining procedures. She asked if I had access to my records online and when I said no went quiet. Shoved the needle in my arm without warning. She then said were done! I had to ask questions I had as she turned her back to me and walked away. If I ever need blood work done in the future I’ll go downtown to a professional clinic.

Put your closing days on your website so that we do not drive 20 minutes to find a closed office on Thanksgiving weekend Saturday! It us not that difficult! You did Monday should have done Saturday too!

The staff is discourteous and abrupt with patients. The check-in process is slow and inefficient. With COVID, there’s little point in making an appointment. During my blood draw the technician kept moving the needle, I had a very large bruise for several days.

I have had routine bloodwork done here for several years, and keep coming back. Staff are consistently friendly, professional, and fast. The new renovation is nice and clean, airy and bright with the huge windows. Good free parking. Online booking and results are available, tho I have not personally tried these options. Whenever asked, I personally recommend this location to others.

Try calling them. You need to go through an 877 number and wait about half an hour IF you don't get a busy signal. The busy signal is understandable since you are on the line with them for half an hour before anyone connects with you. I guess this kind of service is what you get if you outsource to a for profit company.

Awesome staff, you move fast thought the line or you can book your appointments ahead of time therefore there is no waiting in line you walk-in and go straight in.

Normally I always go here because I like them and the staff is friendly, I am not good with blood work. But today I was very disappointed.

The phlebotomist came into the room, asked me which arm. I told her I prefer to draw from the hand. She asked why (as they do every time) and I told her that I prefer it because they have a hard time getting veins in my arm. She keeps prying about it as she takes out a needle for the arm. She asked if she could try, I said I would really just prefer if we could do it from the hand. I told her that I always take blood from the hand. She seemed to be getting angry so I asked if that was a problem. She said no, but doesn't understand why I would do that.

She proceeded to pitch, literally throw, the needle back into the container she took it from, very aggressive. She came back with the butterfly needle, and kept going on and on about how the arm is less painful, but she was obviously getting more angry. I didn't really know why, so I said to her "You seem to be very angry and I don't think you should be the one stabbing me today, can you please get someone else? "

At this point I'm almost in an anxiety attack, I'm already upset and nervous about blood work and this woman is trying to convince me to do something else.

Another phlebotomist comes in and said, "which arm? " I said left hand please, I told the other nurse that but she got very angry. She then asked me again, why not the arm? I explain AGAIN the reasons above. She sighs, goes to one hand, goes to the other, comes back to the first hand, said "did you drink any water? " I said yes, quite a bit. Then she put the needle in and CONTINUED TO COMPLAIN about how I didn't drink enough water, about how the hand hurts more, how the vein is smaller and blood pours slower, etc. It was extremely uncomfortable. At the end she pointed to a vein in my arm and said "well that one would have worked. "

Health care professionals are supposed to be compassionate. I'm appalled at the treatment I received there today. I asked for something specifically that I do every time I get blood work, I don't know why it has to be such a hassle.

Impossible to reach by phone.
Horrible exercise in computerizing and dehumanizing yet another service that should not be automated, at least to the extent this does.
Most painful blood test I have ever had. 24 hours later very hard to move my arm without its hurting, and I cannot reach them.
Could not get into site without doing a stupid survey. Even after doing it, could not get into site.

Would never go there again. Rude and slower than a turtle. I walked out after seeing how they showed no respect towards people. Star rating should be 0. Perhaps the majority of their staff are great but I got the bad apple today.

Staff very pleasant and professional, did not have to wait very long. A good choice. Easy to find, good parking,
