You usually cannot book a time online or by phone. It's faster to go there in person.

If you need blood works, by appointment or walk in, you’ll be welcomed at this LifeLabs location. They open at 7: 00 am to 5: 00 pm most days, check for time variations during holidays. Very organized and everything is like clockwork. I’ve been coming here since 2017 and can’t complain about the service.

ive been here twice and both the times they take atleast 2-3 tries to take the blood, and sometimes they call in other staff for help.it was not a wonderful experience.other than that rest was ok.

Need more experienced nurses to withdraw blood. So scary when nurse cannot withdraw blood from 1st try and 2nd try too. And need to get another nurse to try again. This must be looked into for people coming to this lab for blood test. The lab could provide larger paper cups for the elderlies to facilitate peeing and then transfer to that small container. Need to consider having this facilitation for elderlies.

This LifeLabs location is situated at the base of a low-rise medical building at Burnhamthorpe and Dixie. It is teeming with local residents, so HIGHLY recommend to make an appointment online before hand. Their time slots also fill up quickly, so book EARLY. Walk-in queue this Wednesday morning at 8am was ONE HOUR long. (Look at their TV display screen in the waiting room for updated wait times.) Whereas, I arrived with an appointment, and got seen right away. I was done in 20min total for blood and urine tests. Despite facing overwhelming number of clients, the intake staff and nurses remain professional, friendly and caring.

Current COVID safety precautions include: masking for everyone, divider screen at intake, and hand sanitizer stations throughout the space.

I remember pre-COVID they might have some line-up and wait time especially during busy hours (after work and weekends), but these days that can be avoided with the appointment system.
I've been here a few times during the pandemic and there is no wait at all, and they are following safety protocols very well. In and out within a few minutes.

Absolute incompetence, borderline negligence.

This LifeLabs location has received its 1-star ratings for good reason. The unfriendly and unhelpful staff go out of their way to avoid doing their jobs. They are however highly proficient at spreading misery to their patrons.

A disgrace in every sense of the word. Avoid at all cost.

A few months ago I took my elderly mother here for blood tests. It is VERY difficult to get my mother to go anywhere (leave the house) due to her medical conditions. It takes her hours to get ready. Literally hours, not joking. Her doctor needed important bloodwork done and so I took her to the closest place to where she lives (this place). They had students drawing the blood and they were TERRIBLE at it. They should have trained the students on dummies for a long time first before on humans. Not only were they terrible at drawing blood, but they also messed up on the blood storage or spinning device that mixes the blood taken with the serum in the vial. A few days later, we learned that the samples were unusable because they weren't mixed right. So my mother had to come out again to do the bloodwork and finally when she was able to do that, her bloodwork showed some problems. Problems that could have been handled earlier if this lab did them correctly in the first place. This is very serious. Their incompetence can cause serious issues in a person's medical treatment plan.

I had an absolutely fantastic nurse who helped me through my fears. Rehab from Humber College was very knowledgeable and provided me with excellent care. Overall this facility is very well organized and works well under high demands.

Do not be intimidated by the long lineups.
This location is very efficient. The staff is extremely well trained and professional.
The nurses are very kind under stressful conditions Thank you for the efforts you put in every day.

This is the worst place to go rude staff! I've been doing my blood drawn for over 10+ yrs for medical reasons, I was told no to my request to use butterfly need. And with so much attitude. If it wasnt because this location is convenient I would not be coming back.

I have been going for years professional service and very friendly staff I was extremely scared of needles and after years going here I finally feel confident taking blood work it can be very busy but it's worth the wait definitely recommend this place

Went here Tuesday morning for a blood test. It was pretty quick, 10 min wait. The staff was kind and the person who took my blood was paying attention. Would recommend this place for blood test.

My Original visit here was in September.
Went on a saturday morning at 10am.
Had been sent to get an ANA blood test done (the hospital and specialist suspected Lupus)
When I arrived, it was packed. After waiting in line for over 10 minutes it was my turn. I handed the paperwork in with my health card and was told the cost would be $65. I asked for clarification as doctors will usually inform you if there is a cost. The lady at the front told me it was not an OHIP covered test, so I proceeded to provide my private insurance and the lady told me it wasn't covered by that either. I did not have the cash required to pay for it so i figured i would do my own investigation.

Late January, after several calls and emails to OHIP and my insurance, I was able to find out that IT IS covered by OHIP, the lady provided me with the lab code and told me to go back as they need to do this test.

Once i went back, I had no issues. (different staff) I handed in my paperwork and health card and was good to go. The wait time board works great! However, if a person checks in online and doesn't come in at their time, they should be bumped to the back after the staff has called out their name 3 times. Unfortunately that doesn't happen. People checked in online and had come in 30 minutes later and got seen right away, while the rest of us got pushed back.

The young lady that took my blood was wonderful. Very gentle.

Absolutely horrendous. Don’t go to this LifeLabs location! They’re SO unorganized and slow. Unprofessional and they have students taking blood that don’t even know how to.
I waited 1 1/2 hours and was originally told that it would be 10 minutes. They couldn’t decifer what was on the sheet and are completely incompetent.

Went here Friday morning for a blood test. The wait was pretty quick. They have a board on the right side of the sitting area where you can check your wait time. The staff were kind and the person who took my blood was really attentive. Would recommend this place for blood test.

3rd class staff and customer service. Don't have respect for elders or minors either.dont recommend at all.

Had no issues, my husband fainted and they took great care of him, made sure he was ok before he could go. Waiting time was about 30 minutes counting since walking inside and the places was packed so not bad at all.
