I booked an appointment here because I needed to get blood work and an ECG exam.
I got called into a room that had a bed and a chair in it. I sat on the bed. The lady doing my blood work and ECG exam walks in with no hello, no introduction, just a ‘you’re not supposed to be sitting there, you’re supposed to be sitting here’ and points to the chair. Foul attitude for no reason. Great start.
She takes my blood without saying a word and once we’re done she tells me to take my shirt off and leave my bra on. I tell her I’m wearing a fitted cropped tank top, no bra and asked if I can keep my top on. ‘Nope, it’s gotta come off’. She doesn’t leave, doesn’t provide any sort of coverage or gown, I just have to remove my top infront of this grumpy woman.
We finish the exam and she tells me to leave the door open when I’m done and walks out of the room while I’m standing there topless, exposed to anyone in the hallway.
I can laugh this experience off but I know for many others, this interaction would upset a lot of people. It is truly baffling that there are people working in healthcare that are this unprofessional when I’m sure there are very strict guidelines in place and she probably broke several today without thinking twice about it. Do better.

Don’t bother making an appointment, you’ll still be waiting over 30 minutes. Then they’ll discover they made a mistake and keep you waiting longer.
Meanwhile you’re paying extra for parking.
Totally unprofessional and incompetent.

The nurse at your front counter is awful! Not willing to help just says it's not her problem. Looking at your reviews maybe it's time to replace the miserable at your front desk.

Very busy lab in general. Definitely worth the wait as I'm a difficult blood draw, Christy was exceptional-she did a good assessment and was confident and compassionate

Don’t know if I came on an off day, but I did not have a good experience. The staff were not welcoming, the blood taking was one of the most painful ones I’ve ever had, my arm was not disinfected beforehand, and nothing was explained to me. I’d rather travel a bit farther for a better experience.

The nurse at the reception was extremely rude, like she was so depressed, bothered and done with her job. I booked an appointment, waited 2 weeks and went there for my kids blood work with fasting. It was way pass the appointment time, she was sending the other patients without appointment.
I requested if I can go with my both kids at the same time, she said NO, I requested her to send them in different cubes at the same time as the appointment was consecutive, she refused, although the other nurse said we can do it they are small kids, but she refused. My kids started crying as their tummy started hurting but she was so senseless.
You guys should take this issue to consideration and do justice with your job for what you are getting paid. You should Respect the patient and do your job right!

Staff were all VERY friendly and were helpful for any questions I had.

Place is a bit dirty, but what do you expect from a place that takes a shitton of people everyday.

Appointment ONLY for those confused, although it does say almost everywhere that they're appointment only. After reading a bunch of these other reviews, I feel bad for the staff.

AT the Ancaster location: What a horrible experience. Pure Chaos! No control of the max numbers allowed, no cleaning between patients, no space to keep a distance. I never want to go back there.

First, I want to thank the staff for working hard. All my prior visits were great since the staff treated me well. However, my experience here today was horrible. I made an appointment three weeks ago, but the lady called all the walk-in people first for their tests. I politely asked her why she didn’t call me up for my test since I had an appointment booked for that time, but she got angry at me. Later on, when she told me my room number, she was still angry and giving me an attitude. I hope this place becomes more professional and starts treating people with respect.

Honored my mask excemption. Very friendly nurse who took my blood. Not the paranoid type. Thanked her for being so nice. There are some decent people out there still.

Came in to get blood work, all of the ladies were very sweet and caring. When I had expressed I was anxious about blood tests the lady at the front desk made sure I was in a comfortable setting and requested I have the nurse she felt would be best (I'm sure they're all amazing though!), if I ever need blood work again I will most definitely be coming here!

I have been to this clinic several times. They are usually very punctual and on-time. Recently I almost fainted while getting my blood taken and the staff were fantastic and stayed with me giving me icepacks etc, until I cooled down and felt better. I felt very safe there!

Difficult to social distance while waiting in line. No seating was available to those with disabilities. Would not reccomend if you're a person who uses an assistive device.

What a joke they make us go by appointment and say on the phone you can skip the line if you have an appointment. Then when you get there people that have a later appointment then you are getting in the door before you.then u pay for parking and go to pay again and the machine only lets you put 1.25 in instead of $2 RAGE

I had an appointment for blood work. I was in and out within 10minutes maximum and that was during the Covid-19 pandemic. Very impressed by how this location is run!

I will give the facts i went there this morning for blood work i am a diabetic who fasted for the blood work. One person sitting waiting, no line up. I am the only other person. A person walk up to and ask if i had a appointment i told her no then she told me they were an appointment only clinic, and instructed me to leave nothing on the web site no signs anywhere she clearly did not like the way i was dressed CLEARLY biased against the lower wage earners.welcome to american healthcare why are these people allowed to run a clinic. They do not have the heart for that line of work they clearly do not realise the importance of the work they do.also my blood sugar test 2.3 so i get to do all over again tomorrow LIFELABS needs to close this clinic as a Canadian I do not like the way these Americans run this clinic

I’ve always experienced excellent service at the Charlton St. Location in Hamilton, Ont. Whether it be short wait times or even their overall patient friendly environment, I have nothing but, good to say about this particular life lab.

The staff are doing an incredible job getting everyone through with new procedures. Making an appointment online was easy, the system gets updated constantly in case of cancellations, and honestly.the kindest and warmest staff.

All members of the staff are helpful, professional and pleasent. My 83 YO father, who has all sorts of anxieties from all types of needles and lab tests. But in 25 Charlton Ave LifeLabs they always take good care of him specially by Toni, she's so good at what she does, empathetic and very understanding, my father always walks out thanking and praising her with a big smile on his face.

Apparently this location is supposed to be opened til 4 p.m. At 3: 26 p.m. I watched a staff member walk out the door. When I asked her if it was closed, she rudely just said yep and walked away. Most LifeLabs in Hamilton close at 4 p.m. So for me to get blood work done by 4 p.m. I had to rush to another LifeLabs. This really put me out and I already paid for parking. I have never had such a bad experience with LifeLabs. Thankfully the LifeLabs on Fennell was actually opened til 4 p.m!

All staff: Fast, friendly, professional, involved in continuous learning which adds benefits to competent patient care by their teamwork.
Lifelabs Management: Constant improvements to the physical location under Lifelabs were well-planned (more work stations, another bathroom, better use of waiting room, addition of Internet for appointments and results same day).
I am grateful for this excellent medical laboratory service.

I ALWAYS have issues with blood work and being stabbed over and over.not here.the lab tech here took her time and did it right the first time.will never go anywhere else

Good waiting times, staff are helpful and are very nice. Place is spot on clean, and they deal with customers quite fairly. Would recommend.

Best place to get bloodwork. Nobody can ever get my veins but this nurse here has twice now. And she was nice to talk to.

Amazing! Everyone from the front desk lady to the phlebotomist was ultra nice and friendly, and the wait was short! I came in without an appointment and waited 20 minutes. It looked like there were a lot of people in the room but it goes very quickly. And there is a screen that tells you the wait time when you walk in, and where you are in the queue, so you know exactly what's going on. Quick in and out and very pleasant experience all around!
