I dropped off my specimens today, a lady who received them is extremely rude and embarrassed me in front of all the staff and clients present. This person is so unprofessional and toxic to the work environment. Her presence there makes it miserable to other staff that work hard, I could see it in their faces. I would not recommend this lab to others.

Thank you for the great service every single time. All my family comes here. My mom passed away in 2019. She always wanted to come here for a blood work.

I love this place. Always have appointments available, and adhere to them as well. The people are kind, and caring. I have gotten blood drawn a couple of times, and neither times have I even felt the needle. The staff is always hustling to keep the line moving, and I hope they get the recognition they deserve. On a very stormy snowy day, I had an appointment. I got a call at 9am, and they asked if I wanted to come early, or reschedule until after the storm. I loved the proactive approach.

Staff is spectacular! I only go to this life lab for my tests. It’s unfortunate the parking space is shared with so many other businesses. Overall they are quick, kind and professional.

They were all very very kind! The lady i had was very understanding of my phobia of needles but managed to get my blood and ecg done quickly and easily.she made me feel very comfy and was so sweet! Definitely recommend

LifeLabs at 54 Wilson St W, Ancaster is absolutely amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and caring, and I am always seen quickly without having to wait for a long period of time. Today, Jessica went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during the test I was having done. Though there are other LifeLabs locations closer to me, I will always choose to come to this one. Thank you for your wonderful service!

You definitely should make an appointment they seem to be overworked so it's always pretty crowded there even if you have an appointment you can pretty much forget about social distancing at this point. Masks are still required as of this day

Every time I go workers are friendly. Mornings are busy with the “fasting ppl” so go later if you can’t wait or book an appt. Workers are always kind and patient even when the line up is out the door.

Rude, rude, rude. My wife's health was not Life Labs priority. She did not get her requisition filled and left in tears. The first requisition was lost and this was the second time to fill. The Ancaster location was uncaring, inefficient, unreliable and did not support her in effectively managing her health.

Bad experience, particularly with one female tech with short blond hair and stocky build with a pronounced accent. She was abrupt and rude. Was unpleasant from the beginning and clearly does not like her job.

The lady at the entrance counter was so rude. She did not have a name tag on. That was just today and she was the lady with short yellow hair. I was trying to indicate that there are other additional blood tests required at the bottom right of the paper. She yelled at me thanks for showing me how to do my job. Please, let me know if there is an official way to submit a complaint. Also, for LifeLabs, you should mandate name tags for all workers providing public service. Additional feedback that there was no respect for patients privacy by repeating their person details like phone numbers in a voice audible to everyone in the waiting room.

I walked in some guy was pouring urine from a pill jar into a urine container in the waiting room needless to say I walked right out.

Best experience. Daniela was very helpful and gentle. I did not even feel the poke when getting my blood work done! Thank you for a great service.

Only gets 1 stars because it's the closest.

Terrible service, they completely ignore you and leave you standing outside. Meanwhile people behind you get to walk in. Not only that, once you had enough of obeying a sign that they themselves dont follow, you leave, only to look back and see nurses come out to tend people in the line.

What's the point of placing a sign outside your door that you do not follow yourselves?

As for your January "statement" saying that you will accept walkins if they are urgent, that is a complete LIE. I had urgent work to be done, requested by my doctor and was completely ignored.

If they were an "objective observer" the optics would deduce this location may harbor racist undertones.

Dundas LifeLabs is way superior service, and the Upper Gage and Fennel LifeLabs give excellent service for walk ins.

Take some notes Ancaster.

Ancaster location. Awesome in every respect. They took my 99 yr old Dad without an appointment. Our wait was better than reasonable - maybe 20 minutes all told. And it didn’t look like we bumped anyone out of their turn. The staff there is very efficient so they just kept that line moving! Dad said he didn’t even feel the needle go in. So far, just a tiny bruise. Kudos and thanks to the lovely staff.

Update: New appointment 4 months after previous 1 star review.

Arrived one minute before scheduled booked appointment. Requested to wait outside with 3 persons equally spaced apart. Employee came outside at regular intervals (as person (s) exited) and brought people in as allowed by government regulations (15 Max). When inside; asked if I had an appointment and collected my information sent me to 'blood draw room'. If you were a ' walk-in', same 'wait to been seen', then requested to sit in the waiting room with adequately spaced apart chairs.   They took care to ensure the occupancy did not exceed the maximum allowed in a professional manner. Surfaces were wiped after sample collection. Appointment 1: 40 out 1: 55 with a sense of order and safety with care.

For improving procedure my rating is
increased from 1 to 4; well done.

Booked appointment. Arrived one minute early. Instructed to stand outside, inline. Informed the 5 clients inside and 13 clients outside, all had appointments. Lockdown pandemic in a line with 18 persons. Thank you, no.

Worst Lab Ever! Looks like they're looking for an excuse to reject patients, giving incorrect information.
They gave me wrong instruction and refused to do the test on the same date even though I booked an appointment in advance.
They also claimed that they called me which is not true, as I didn't receive any call, missed call or VM.

Absolutely no point in booking an appointment. They take people in the order they show up. So incredibly frustrating.

I was worried about my first visit to this location, after reading some of the poor reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by the professional and courteous service I received, as I arrived a bit early for my appointment and was able to be taken in right away. The lab was clean, staff were very friendly, and my blood was drawn without pain or issue. Overall a professional experience and an easy in and out. Well done, ladies!

Even with “appointments only” services people are lined up out the door and into their cars. This is the third time I have attempted to get blood work done and can’t get in the door even with an appointment.

I went there for the first time just because I am pregnant and I need it to do a blood test in the same day i went my ultrasound before they closed if not normally I do my blood tests on upper gage they are fast and precise! What happened the woman who take me the blood was so “stupid” she hurts me a lot and one week and a half after my arm still have a big bruise!

Went here after work at 4: 30PM expecting to be turned away due to wait times. The office was empty when I went in and the reception was friendly. I told her the last time I had blood drawn, I fainted, so she put me in the room with the bed and I was seen by Jane who was OUTSTANDING. Other phlebotomists seem to have trouble with my veins but Jane was a star and so friendly and funny to boot. The online results option is convenient too. Great place!

Had my blood work done here. Did not take long to get my blood sample taken. Technician was friendly.

Not near as professional atmosphere as the Dundas location. Staff were yelling out across the office. Techician was friendly but put tourniquet on arm, then took some time to prepare, causing a lot of pain. I get regular blood work and have never had that kind of painful delay. Arm still aches 2 hours later!
