Maryam at Lifemark in Pickering is truly one of a kind. I visited initially for a tennis elbow injury, and was hesitant as I've had some questionable experiences in the past with physiotherapy. Within one session, I was already seeing improvements. She was able to fully heal my elbow, and I've been taking the opportunity to work on other issues (rotator cuff injury, neck tightness), which Maryam's also been incredible at. I can say without a doubt that she is one of the best, if not THE best therapist in Pickering, and surrounded by some wonderful staff members.

I have been going to LifeMark for 7 months for vestibular therapy and so glad I met Mohsen. He really takes his time with me and works at my pace.

I had an in-home ergonomic assessment with Satmeen Nagra. I work remotely and was having issues that related to sitting for so long. Satmeen helped to set up my chair, monitor and desk so that I had proper alignment. She was very helpful and explained everything that she did and made some stretching and movement exercise recommendations in order to keep everything flowing.

My experience with Lifemark was amazing. Satmeen really helped me through my transition back to work and we had a great connection. She helped me with ideas on keeping myself on track and was very accommodating with our appointments. I highly recommend Lifemark to those in need of occupational therapy. 10/10 experience. I'm not back to work full time and I'm so thankful for the sessions I had with Satmeen.

He’s very knowledgeable, professional, personable. He listens to his patients; I’ve never felt intimidated. He tells you like it is, which is much appreciated. Elaine is wonderful. Her gentle approach will make anyone feel comfortable in any situation. Alan Dion is a very knowledgeable massage therapist. He makes you feel comfortable. Satmeen Nagar was my occupational therapist, and she was amazing. She was patient and not once did she make me feel my concerns were outrageous or invalid. After being in a horrible motor vehicle accident, I was referred to Lifemark for physio. This is the best place ever! Mohsen was extremely honest with me in regards to recovery times, has pushed me to challenge myself and has been extremely motivating. Although I have a long way to go in regards to my recovery, Mohsen has been there every step of the way. Elaine is also super kind and friendly and ensures that the workouts I do are correct when I go to the gym area.

I had an ACL and a torn meniscus surgery done and I got a recommendation from one of my neighbors who just had a he knee replacement done, to try life Mark physio. Soon as i went there they were knowledgeable with the surgery I had done and knew what to do and had a good time frame on how I would heal. They where honest with everything and Maryam took good care of me! She is an excellent and smart well-rounded physiotherapist. All the staff where great too overall 10 out of 10

Satmeen was awesome. She listened and gave me great tips for helping through various post cancer issues. I would recommend her to anyone who is going through various issues such as not sleeping through the night, not getting to sleep, anxiety or any issues yoy have. She is a great listener and confident. Will miss you chats via on-line.

I am extremely pleased and delighted with the service offered at this clinic. The entire team has demonstrated friendly and professional qualities every time I visit. From the welcoming voice of Cindy when I call, to the willingness to help and assist from Mohsen, Eugiene, Narissa, Mary and Myriam.

Very expert Physiotherapists and Registered Massage therapists are available at this location. I had problem of pinched nerve and they treated me very well and with very few sessions I started feel better. I would say, this is the best physiotherapy place in Pickering and there rates are competitive.

The physiotherapist Maryam and kinesiologst Jasmene are THE BEST people at Lifemark. My experience with both of them and receptionist Lisa has been nothing but wonderful! All three of these people are highly recommended.

If it wasn’t for the lack of customer service, lack of acknowledgement and professionalism with admin, and to simply put it, lack of compassion and consideration, I would have given this location a 5 star. Maryam is, by far, one of the best physiotherapists i know and personally, experienced. She is so knowledgeable and very attentive. She listens to the body of the patient and I think that is very important. I know many physiotherapist across the GTA, most are at the rehab hospital I work at (Bridgepoint), whom i work with, and in Cardiac rehab at centenary. I work in the medical field, and I do in fact, work very closely to patients, doctors, nurses, pharmacists and physio’s (PTA’s, speech, etc.)
I also work with naturopathic doctors across the GTA, and the one important think is to be able to provide that level of customer service. At the end of the day, we are all helping a patient in need. Someone who is not well. So we may not understand 100% what someone is going through, but each individual is going through something. So being empathetic is number one in our line of work. I have never experienced going through insurance, I’m going to simply put it out there, I am completely clueless. Therefore I need guidance. When I asked if I had to do anything, money wise from insurance, the lady at the front had told me I need not worry anything, everything is going to be taken care of. When I found out there was at least three months worth of invoices pending, I was in complete shock. I can’t believe she waited out three months worth of invoices pending without checking in on me. Yes part of this should have been my responsibility and I take full responsibility for my actions for not checking in but when you’re told that you don’t need to worry about anything, and not tell you “hey we still haven’t received the money from your insurance” well that says a lot.if my physiotherapist hadn’t pulled up my file on her computer I would have never found out. Or maybe the amount that was owed would have piled. Of course I was obligated to pay up front I didn’t want this to ever happen to anyone and it is not fair for the clinic. It isn’t that I couldn’t pay it, it was more or so I wasn’t aware at all! I have called almost every Lifemark in Toronto and asked how often they check in with their clients regarding payments from insurance and they all have told me normally they check in once a week. I have been at this clinic at least 3x a week and then 2x and then once and now back to twice. She couldn’t just say “oh hey, just a reminder, check if you got a cheque or got paid from your insurance to give to us. ” I get how all that works, it was explained to me on that day. But if someone has never gone through something like this, I am obviously not going to know the process. I would trust that they would guide me. I’m not saying I’m stupid because all I need is an explanation and maybe just even have the courtesy to give me a friendly reminder. All I know is my personal insurance does not cover the full treatment then the car insurance would cover the rest. That was the explanation I got. I think this could have been avoided by if yes I had asked questions myself, but also if admin could have been more professional. And in all seriousness, you shouldn’t expect someone who’s going through trauma to really properly deal with this on their own. Again you don’t know what a person has been through. There should be a system in place to avoid this because it has left me distressed and worried because now I don’t know if I want to come back to finish my treatment at this clinic. I love Maryam, her expertise and knowledge and professionalism in listening to the patients body, is impeccable. I respect that. If she spends 10 min with you only it’s because she feels your body cannot or should not be pushed that hard. But she can really work on you. I’m so shocked that I was three months behind some payment that my insurance didn’t fully cover. It upsets me and worries me that she didn’t follow up with me. Now I feel obligated to ask weekly.

I would like to say ab thankyou to all the staff there for helping Suzzana with all her therapy and giving her the confidence for walking again and helping her mentally be stronger you good people will keep up the good work.

Had a Great experience with Maryam. The office was always willing to accommodate my schedule having 2 kids at home. Maryam took the time to explain various exercises i could complete at home as well as work through them with me to make sure i was doing them properly. She also made suggestions for things i could use at home so i wouldn't have to buy equipment which i appreciated. Overall it was a great experience and i would continue to visit here!

I was a client at Lifemark for almost 5 months while recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident. I received massage therapy and physio therapy.
The massage therapists did high quality work and made sure their treatment was specific to my injuries and stage of recovery. My physiotherapist care program was directed by Maryam Safari. I received excellent care throughout and I was taught a home program that would help speed my recovery. All of my questions were answered thoroughly. I had interactions with many staff members and found that all of the staff members to be very professional, friendly and helpful.

Have been here for physiotherapy after a car accident, as well as prenatal and regular massage over the past six years. Service has always been consistent and professional. Nikki has been an amazing RMT resource throughout my pregnancies and has given me valuable tips to strengthen myself between sessions. I’ve recommended her to my sister-in-law when she was pregnant and would happily continue to recommend her to others.

Staff gets too comfortable way too quick. Level of professionalism and courtesy is lacking. After awhile the service becomes monotonous.

2 months ago, I had surgery done on my ACL and Meniscus. Having been a competitive soccer player, I was very picky post surgery as I was looking for a physio clinic that would take the time and effort to assist me along the way with my rehab. When I first came to Lifemark Kingston and Brock, I had so little muscle mass in my leg that I was unable to lift my leg up and put it on my bed. 2 months later, I am now able to leg press my own weight, I am doing unassisted squats and am also running on the treadmill. I'd like to sincerely thank Maryam and the Lifemark team at Kingston and Brock for their guidance and support in getting me to where I am today. I am certain that I will be able to get back to the field in the coming months!

Total complete care. Very friendly, personable staff. Great attention to detail in the specific care needed for each patient. Appointments are long because they are that detailed. No wait times.

The staff are fantastic but they desperately need to hire more assistants and purchase more equipment and beds!

After a motor vehicle accident in December I have been attending Lifemark for Physio and Massage Therapy. The team of Physio Assistants and Therapists (Mark and Narissa) have been great and very attentive to my injuries. I have been seeing Nikki the Massage therapist also once a week and I always feel 100% better once I am finished my session. One little note (every week I see Nikki she is always playing music which is so relaxing and voids the noice from the front office or offices beside her, one day she was not and I told her I found that very distracting NOT to have the music) Please keep playing the music as it is very relaxing.

I had been going to Lifemark from December 2017 due to a hip injury from a fall and later an upper arm injury again from a fall down the stairs to about May or June of 2018. Miriam was my physiotherapist during that time and my sessions with her were excellent, she managed to get rid of my most of my pain to a point where it was manageable without further physio. I was given a variety of exercises to perform to which I still do to keep the strength up in my leg and arm. During my time there I also started having massages once a month with Nikki for some of my aches and now a bakers cyst. I enjoy my massages because I always feel good after them, and I am able to function better. I have even joined the Massage Club whereby I go once a month. My experience with Lifemark has been very positive.

Lifemark Physiotherapy is a professional and friendly place where and I and my wife had our physiotherapy and massage therapy done. Maryam and her assistants were very friendly and helped us fully recover our injuries. I also have to commend about Mark, the Massage therapist who also did a tremendous job in my recovery process. Overall it's fantastic place and I recommend any one who seek a professional standard healthcare, Lifmark the place to go.
