Lim Bangkok Grocery

I can't believe it took me over a decade being in Ottawa to give this place the credit it deserves I thought it was a Thai grocery store with few Vietnamese items but I was so wrong. I was able to find all Vietnamese stable items at great prices! The people there seem nice (at least they weren't yelling and disrespecting their staff, which was the reason why I stopped supporting another Vietnamese grocery store since change of ownership). I'm really curious about their background story they seem to speak Thai, Vietnamese, Cantonese and English.

They have the best products especially pure coconut water without any additives. No Sugar. No preservatives!
His prices are reasonable too!

Nice selection of high quality produce at prices that are often lower than the big stores. I love getting a little bag of scotch bonnet peppers every time I shop there. I'm happy to see plantain. The greens are terrific. But what puts them over the top for me is that they sell winged beans.

Lots of selection and was delighted to find Kopi type coffee though it was somewhat hidden. Very friendly service.

I was desperately looking for RosDee Chicken Flavor and found it! M! There is everything you need! One of the sellers speaks French very well!

Their prices are good. I bought a wok from there cost me almost $25. They don't accept credit, only cash or debit! That is fine, I understand and try to support them.

I love this place! I've been to a lot of the grocery stores in this neighbourhood and this is hands down my favourite. Such a great selection of different ingredients from Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese etc.

Prices are always fair, most vegetables are fresh, and they carry one of my favourite budget knives. Kiwi! You should totally grab one of these, they cut like butter.

Whoever owns and runs this place is great. I feel safe and welcome here.

Store is a little run down but more than makes up for it with a good choice of fresh vegetables and other oriental products which you might not find at your local chain grocery store. They also stock frozen fish and varieties of prawns which is neat.

Great place for Asian herbs/spices with very friendly owners. Found fresh pandan leaves here too (CAD1/bag) :)

Great selection and friendly service! Easy to get all your ingredients for delicious Thai coconut curry here (lime leaves, high quality coconut milk, Thai basil, etc.)!

Great place to pick up Thai produce. Store is a little cramped and can be tough to navigate. Owners are very friendly.

However be sure to check the labels on packaged goods. I've seen a few items passed expiration / best before dates.
