They Did an assessment on my girlfriend's ferrets for there adrenal gland implant and it went really well and they handled gently and were so loving towards them I highly recommend! Hopefully the implant surgery goes well!

This clinic saved my bunny's life. My 7 yrs old bunny got GI stasis. She wasn't eating and just lying around all day. We brought her in on Sunday as an emergency and the clinic kindly accepted her and treated her immediately by giving her enough fluids and keeping her warm. She is now much better thanks to their care.

The reason for the 3 star review is because unfortunately they have failed to notice that my bunny's front tooth was chipped off quite badly - this might be the cause of the stasis as it must have caused her a lot of pain and discomfort when eating. No one knows for sure when the tooth problem occurred. If it happened before we brought her in, then they did not do the exam properly. If it happened after, then they probably caused it somehow, probably by accident while feeding her.

The total charge for her hospitalization was $2k+ so it is on the pricier side. Unfortunately, there are not many places that offer exotic emergency services so I can't really blame them.

Brought my brand new green cheek conure, Clover to get her initial check up and to get her ankle band removed. My vet was super sweet, gentle and attentive to her.
Great team, from the front desk to our vet herself.

A few weeks ago, my other conure got startled and bumped himself and I called in honestly quite panicked and the team listened and provided calm information and next steps. Luckily all was well and didn’t require a visit, but I feel really at peace having them only a call away.

Great place. Really know there stuff.

If you are looking for a knowledgeable, caring, kind, patient, and down to earth vet to care for your bird, I would highly recommend Dr. Nur. We had a great experience with her at our most recent wellness exam for our senior lovebird.

I like and trust the doctors at this place. We've been taking our 18 year old quaker parrot to this office for the last couple of years. Two months ago our parrot was limping and we took her there for an examination. She received excellent service and attention. We had to take her again last month too for an emergency because she started limping and twitching her left wing. The Doctor examined her and prescribed her some medicine which has helped her recover and now she is doing much better. Thank you Link Road staff for being there for our bird when she needed you!

Dr. Nur is amazing. Very patient and gentle with my bird and very good at explaining the issues.

I do not recommend this place for avian care. My baby bird was badly bruised after receiving blood work and this clinic did not take any accountability. Apparently, she was “resisting” so they were unable to extract blood the traditional way. Irrespective of the circumstances, it is clear that they used excessive force.

This vet clinic only cares about money and has zero empathy towards their patients. They take advantage of the fact that there aren’t many exotic animal clinics in the city and make you pay for it. My daughter’s rabbit was acting off one day, so I immediately called the clinic to get him checked out. The lady on the phone said the next appointment I could get is almost a month from now! She said that if I wanted to be seen sooner I’d have to call back the next day and see if they had any urgent spots available that day for an additional fee of $300. This is outrageous, considering the extra cost does not include anything at all. I still made an appointment with the clinic. While waiting I decided to call my dog’s vet who doesn’t normally treat exotic animals to ask if he can help. He took us in without any additional fees immediately! He also had a fully booked schedule, but he agreed to take us in between patients. Unfortunately, the rabbit passed away the next day and left a little girl heartbroken. This place should be ashamed of their money grabbing tactics. Stay away from this place if possible.

Very knowledgeable doctors and staff that are super helpful. Would highly recommend this place for care if needed.

My rabbit needed an emergency spaying last year and she was a little young but they took her in on short notice and did an amazing job. She healed very quickly with their extra laser option and is still doing great now! I'm forever grateful. If I wasn't so far these guys would be my primary vet, highly recommend.

I recommend Dr. Evan and Dr. Rick cuz I believe they are the most experienced exotic vets!

Dr. Evan helped my bunny recover from a broken leg, and now my bunny walks and jumps like normal:) He also explained everything to me very patiently including explaining the X-rays.

Yesterday Dr. Rick did the neutering surgery on my bunny and it works successfully! My bunny is now doing very well. The technicians there are also very patient and nice.

Amazing, empathetic staff and great service. Dr. Rick went above and beyond to care for our cockatiel, and the whole staff has been friendly, informative and understanding every time we have come in.

July 2021 my bearded dragon got sick. We brought him to this vet. They charged us $300 told us to assist feed and bring in a fecal. Everything is fine until we bring a fecal the next day. They say it will take 1-2 days to complete. A week later they called. Unfortunately my bearded dragon passed away during the week. Apparently the results of the fecal test had been completed 2 days after we brought it in, but it took them 5 more days to call us. Treatment could have started by then, and everything had been prevented. Don't go here, this could happen to you. I never give bad reviews, but this clinic deserves 1/5 stars from me.

Incredible service from start to finish. These guys really know their small pets. They were awesome with our two rabbits.

July 2022 update: Links Road has returned to allowing pet parents into the appointments with their wonderful vets. Always a pleasure to see everyone in person!

They are wonderful. They have looked after my precious rabbit named. Jack. He recently passed a week ago and they were so helpful with everything. From where to fine the perfect urn and also explained that Jack could be cremated with his most favorite stuffed animal. I am waiting on his arrival in 2 weeks to have him with me at home. Thank you for all the kind words and for all the information l needed during this time.

I am grateful to have a boarding facility for my parrot. Also these CoVID mandates making it so we are not allowed to set up the cage or come in for check ups is valid and also frustrating for clients.

First time at this vet for our bunny Thumper. The overall experience was great. I'm sure once these restrictions get lifted it will be better than waiting outside for details of your pet. Otherwise prices are reasonable and provide all the details you need to know. All that matters was our bunny was safe.

Longer wait time than at a doctor's office.arrived 10 minutes early to fill out forms. Already 30+ minutes have passed on my appointment.the receptionist only let me know the vet is running behind schedule after 20+ minutes without an estimated time.geez.hope the service is good and I will up the score

Really disappointed. Had a 1pm appointment that I was thought I would be late for. Arrived 6 min early. There is no way to enter. I sat outside in yhe cold with my son and 14 week old amazon baby. It was shaking. I rang the be 3 times. (The ring system goes off after a certain amount of time). I called. No answer. The lady is at the desk. She can see me, because I can see her. There is another lady outside now who has also bee waiting. Terrible. Especially for a place that deals with exotic birds. Will obviously cancel my appointment for my other bird as well.

Went in for an emergency visit for my rabbit that was suffering from G. I.issues. Expensive visit but very knowledgeable staff regarding exotic pets, this is critical as most vets specialize in cats and dogs and it's simply not enough knowledge for rabbit vet care.

After a long night of trying to nurse Snowball back to health without success we knew it was time to take him to the vet. We are grateful that Links takes in emergency visits. They nursed our bunny back to a level we could manage from home and kept us updated all along the way. Dr. Nur and all the staff are professional and upbeat. The energy in this clinic is a very positive one. This was not our first visit and every time we leave we feel like we're taking our bunnies to the right place. Thank you! Dr. Rick Axelson saved my bunny's life and has taken exceptional care of my parrot and other bunny. He is the greatest veterinarian I have ever met in my life. All the other veterinarians including Dr. Evan Mavromatis in an emergency saved fixed my bunny. All the veterinarians and staff are outstanding. Dr. Axelson in my own professional opinion is the King of Veterinarians!

Service is great here always greeted with a friendly smile. Staff is very helpful and then know what they are talking about. I always trust them to take care of my fur babies. I wouldn’t suggest taking them elsewhere. Great work guys keep it up

They take advantage of emergency and then purposely take a long time by saying they are observing and charge exuberant amount of money and force you without permission to make the bill go higher. I will.never recommend anyone going to go to this clinic.

Quick responsiveness and the best emergency availability in the city. Rabbit savvy and small animal savvy vets. Prices are expensive but I think that is typical for emergency specialty services, ultimately my rabbit was well taken care of and is doing well.

It was a long wait to get an appointment but we wanted our parrot to be seen by an avian vet. We went during covid so we could not go in. Following the appointment, the vet doctor came out and talked to us which was very nice since we couldn't go in. He gave suggestions for mental simulation and maintaining good health. Affordable and didn't push unnecessary procedures.

Knowledgeable staff. Very friendly, patient, and helpful. I have ferrets and it's difficult to find a vet who actually knows anything these animals, but this location does and they do a wonderful job taking care of my fur-babies needs. Definitely recommend them.

Helped our parrot remove an inbedded leg band. Wonderful care and our seventeen year old came home happy. Thanks to Dr Yee for the great after four service and too all the techs that supported us. Tiko is super happy with the care he received.

I found this hospital as my parrot had an emergency a couple of weeks ago. I've had two experiences with this hospital and both times have been amazing. The veterinarians are very attentive and very knowledgeable. And the support staff are amazing. I highly recommend this location

I have seen Dr. Evan Mavromatis twice now for two different sugar gliders. One for a mass removal in March 2019 and one for a tail amputation in January 2021. In both cases they were professional and kind and answered every single one of my questions. If you have an exotic pet, you are going to pay for specialized care. If you are considering going elsewhere with a sugar glider, don’t!

Amazing place for exotic animal care! The receptionist's were fantastic and the veterinarian was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job with my pet (family member).

My pet bunny had an accident which resulted in both his top incisors cracking. Links staff was able to quickly get my bun in for treatment. Michelle was very gentle with Biggie, very informative, and showed such compassion for my pet. She treated and fixed Biggie’s teeth situation and my bunny was so happy after his visit with Links! He’s 100% better and eating like a champ! The whole veterinary team- from assistants, receptionists, technicians, to the veterinarians are amazing, kind, compassionate, and truly care about your pet! I 110% recommend Links Road Animal Hospital to all small animal owners!

Very knowledgeable and experienced staff saved a life of our parrot. The other clinic couldn't even diagnose the problem. Yes it is costly but I am talking about family member.

I took my new budgie Cassian here because he had a problem with his nose and I was becoming extremely worried for his health as it kept getting blocked in one nostril.

I came in with him and didn't have to wait long. The receptionists were nice, checking me in (though for some reason there was a technical issue pulling up my file I filled online so they made a new one) and told me a bit about the wall of pet photos they have when I asked.

The vet was nice, checking out my bird and asking the basic questions on what was wrong with him and also about his diet and how I took care of him.
He also told me my options and price ranges of what to expect for moving forward with treating my baby.
He took him to the lab in the back and flushed his nasal passages after a moment of discussion and being understanding of the choice I made. I didnt want to do a lab test just yet if the flush was an option but would monitor how Cassian holds up and if his condition worsened I would bring him back.
Cassian was rather unimpressed by having to go through that but I think the flush helped him and his condition has very much improved since then.

We take our birds here. I will not go to any other place. All the vets are great and super understanding. When we first brought our conure there she tried to zip under Dr. Noors hijab and I was MORTIFIED. Dr Noor just chuckled, caught her and gave her a little pet. The vet staff and clerks, really just everyone is wonderful.

Looking for a avian vet can be a challenging feat. However links road animal and bird clinic isn’t too far away from where I live, which is a life saver. The veterinarian for my Green cheek conure is an amazing lady and moreover super knowledgeable. Not only did she took care of my bird but also told me how to better care for a parrot. The second time I went there I was amazed how she remembered mu bird and also me (it was almost a year since the last time I visited). Little things like that make a whole lot of a difference in experience. And also they email you every 6 months for a check up with the cutest worded email ever!

We took our hamster to see Dr. Axelson and Dr. Nur on two separate occasions and were extremely thrilled by the experience and knowledge that both vets provided! Although we live an hour away, it worth the drive and time knowing that our hamster was in good care. Highly recommend this clinic!

I took my rabbit there and was advised about the high emergency fee$. I agreed. They took a quick look & said she was "stable" & I have to wait 3hr for a vet.

I booked an appointment & came back 5 hrs later. They made me spend over $250, and insisted I spend $250+ more on tests and xrays etc. They gave my sick rabbit 2 injections, and she died after I brought her home. She was still active when I took her to the vet. After the fluid therapy and another injection she stopped moving, and looked heavily drugged up or high feverish and passed away at night.

Although the doc was friendly, I had a horrible experience, traveled 4 times (there & back) 1hr each way, spend so much $, and my bunny is dead!

One word for this place “PRETEND HOSPITAL “!
$1200 down the drain 2 weeks of suffering and watching my bird melt like candle. Worst experience ever!

Links Animal clinic is the best avian based clinic in all of Toronto and the surrounding area in my opinion. I am priviledged to say that Dr. Nur is the most sensitive caring vet I've met in years. I feel total confidence in her training and looking after my conure and previously with my cockatiel. She's a lovely lady. The whole clinic is run with nice people and very competent vets.

Loved them. They didnt just look at the things I was concerned about, but did a full exam on my Guinea pig, and also addressed everything I had called about. We talked about alternative care routines to help her into her senior years. Definatly recommend:)

They take great care of my bunny and have specialists who know how to treat them! Had my bunny spayed here with zero complications. Great prices too, for Toronto.

Great experience here. The vets were nice and helped me with me crested gecko and she is feeling much better.

One of the few avian vets in the GTA and surrounding areas; thankfully, the vet did a suberb job with our male cockatiel, including recommending a better diet and trimming his nails. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely the best care. I've been twice now, and seen two different veterinarians, and the level of compassion and how they talked to my girls both times actually astounded me. Would definitely reccommed them to anyone!

I have been here more than once to see Dr. Nur for my bearded dragon (s). She is just incredible- she really knows her stuff and the receptionists have always been amazing too. The whole staff really clearly cares about their patients and not just about making money from them, and I always feel completely confident in their treatment and care. I have recommended this clinic to people in the past and I will continue to do so!

These people did the same thing to me too. They held my pet for a few days and did a number of tests, and after that they presented me with a whopping bill and could not tell me what was causing my pet's problems.

Their technicians are a nice and so was the veterinarian but they could not help my pet.

I took my little Green Cheek Conure in for his second check up and to investigate a bump I had found and couldn't have received better treatment.

The doctor was extremely kind, knowledgeable but most importantly; real. Unlike other doctor's who act almost like salesmen, he didn't try and sell me things like how I should clip my little guys wings and etc. He was amazing and without getting too specific really, really have off the impression that He knows and cares about birds and animals in a personal capacity, not just professional.

I have had some wonky experiences with other staff at this facility before, but just because this vet we got was the head vet and the son of the original founder I can feel good about rating 5 stars. He is the most amazing medical professional I have ever dealt with, even considering 'people' doctors. (Haha) I didn't catch his name, but absolutely try and request him for your visit by the description I gave. I am extremely over protective but I can honestly say I trust him. Something super rare when it comes to my little guy.

When my buddy is sick or needs a check up, I take him no where but The Links Road, no matter how long the commute and I can feel good about recommending that you do too.
