Lions Head Inn Restaurant & Pub

Dog friendly patio and very friendly staff. The fish & chips were great, as was the burrito bowl. We each had a beer to top off our lunch after exploring Lion's Head Lookout (beautiful views, btw - well worth the hike).

Ate here and the food was excellent. Buffalo Pierogis appetizer was terrific, and everyone enjoyed their main dishes too. Beer was also good. Service was great, our server and the bartender were very friendly.

This used to be a nice little restaurant, what happened? Absolutely below par Pub Grub, the fish was horrible, no texture. Hamburger was tough as a shoe sole. When asked if I could try one of their draft beers I was told by the waitress: NO

Great location and casual atmosphere. Server was good. Food was good. Only concern being prices seemed high. Pints of beer for 11$ a bit steep. 18$ for 6 wings. I know tourist season is short but really! Can't see the place being affordable for locals and casual pints.

Extremely disrespectful management, overpriced menu for the amount you get.

Been here many years many times in years past and things were always excellent! Very disappointed this year, seemed run down and understaffed. Most concerning however was the quality of the food. Even my teenage son left his food uneaten and that's saying something! Many tables walked away after a very lengthy wait to even get a menu. Hope they can turn it around:)

Good selection of tap beer, with 2 locally brewed options. The food was also delicious, especially the sausage and mashed potatoes. Service was very quick as well.

A must stop for anyone passing through Lionshead.

However, like others have said, it's pricey. For two beers, 1 boneless wings, and 1 sausage/potato it came out to 90$ after tax/tip.

Food was good. Upgrades seemed a bit pricey. My only major qualm was the $12.99 plus tax pint of Guinness. Overall, pretty decent place but you'll go broke drinking the Guinness LOL. Again, food was good and the other beers were more reasonably priced.

Great food with good prices and a 1 min walk to beach. We at here for first time with family and friends. The restaurant is smaller and our group wad larger so we made reservations in advance but not 100%. Nice area outside to eat on picnic tables with umbrellas. Server was excellent and very courteous. We arrived for 530p and the restaurant was starting to get busy. The restaurant is a pub style but had a ood variety of main dishes from fish and chips to a traditional Shepards pie. I had the sliced beef on a baguette and it was great. We would definitely eat there again.

Nice English style pub in Lion’s Head. Food was good, our server (Sarah?) was exceptional and fun. Any place that has Speckled Hen on draft is okay with me. Thanks.

Owner was super rude grabbed all of our food and kicked us out because we complained about the burger bun being soggy buddy should not be running that restaurant. I don’t recommend anyone going to eat here the food is frozen garbage even there tap beer has a funky flim on top. I give this restaurant 0 stars DO NOT GO

We visited to Inn several times over the summer and were extremely impressed with the care taken by the staff to ensure our safety. The service we received was excellent with the staff being attentive and very pleasant despite the challenges that have been imposed due to COVID-19. The food was excellent. We will be back!

Came here a few years ago! My boyfriend and I were hiking the Georgian bluffs trail and undoubtedly became hungry. This place was open and inviting and the food was delicious! I had liver and onions, this place had one of the best I've ever had. Recommend to everyone! Will definitely come back again:)

I’ve been going to Lions head inn for years now and you really won’t find better food. Best staff in the world. I feel like it’s home every summer I come up. Monty the owner is a riot and very friendly. Marlie, Linda, and Haley are wait staff legends. Even back of house is always friendly and polite. They always have a great couple local beers on tap which is one of my favorite things and you literally cannot go wrong ordering their wings. Americans, it rivals bdubs. You won’t be disappointed. If you find yourself in the Bruce. Go visit Monty and co. And see why this little place has been around for literally decades. Best spot in town!

Been there in 2018, amazing food. Went during Covid, and they have the best precautionary measures for the customers and staffs while still having a great meal.

My partner and I stopped here while hiking the Bruce trail and what a treat! We had really great veggie sandwiches and a salad, plus a great local beer. The staff were kind and friendly and not at all upset about welcoming us close to closing time. Would recommend.

Their white fish, vegetarian pasta (I added chicken to it) was excellent. Wish I could have another servings of those two meals! Only complaint I have is the salad is a small portion, they should consider having a large salad on their menu. Otherwise I reccomend to anyone who's by the area!

Great fish and chips and lovely service! I'm not a hugefhuge person but I couldn't help but order fish and chips cause it smelled amazing and they were so worth it! The man who I believe is the owner took such great care explaining the covid protocols. He truly cared to make sure everyone was comfortable and it was very appreciated

Good food, the mini Yorkie appetizers were really tasty and so was the whitefish. Good sized portions, we left satisfied! I'd go back there again, and not because it's the only pub in town.

The place was very nice and clean and they had great staff/service, however, the food wasn’t very good and it was overpriced. The chicken wings were SO SALTY and their burger was bland. Wouldn’t come here again: (

Great service and tasty food. Limited indoor space (due to covid) but plenty of outdoor patio seating. Had the fish and chips, and it was delicious as was my partner's steak. Only thing I would have changed was to add coleslaw. Really looking forward to coming back to check out all the menu items.

Worst fish and chip ever. Overcooked and full of oil, couldn’t even finish one and they only serves 3 pieces. When we first came in to the restaurant the guy made us have a tour as if we were in a museum. That was literally the first time that I ever experienced going to the restaurant and feeling like I’m in a museum. There is another restaurant next to this one that serves better portions at a cheaper price, it looks like this restaurant is only making money because of the decorations from the outside. On top of it they made us pay our bill is before getting the food. We literally left leaving all of our food on the table. When the owner came to ask us how our food was we told him that it was overcooked and full of oil and the guy said that it was the first time ever that he heard that and literally left being speechless.

The food is horrible! The fish and chips plus the chiken hamburger were so oily, it's not food anymore, we didn't eat! I'm not even a difficult person on food, watever I don't recommend this place

Went here twice during my week vacation to my cottage with my buddies and together we were nutty.good food, staff was great. Burger was really good.

Great place. They've made it feel very safe with COVID 19. Ace fries. And would recommend the Georgian Bay Splash - gin and lemonade done to perfection.

Horrible service and food. The chicken sandwich I had was about a centimetre thick and too crispy. There was no flavour whatsoever. The fish and chips was full of oil and definitely not to my surprise, had no flavour again.

The owner was rude and treated us horribly. Definitely the most snobby, entitled person that I have ever encountered. That man should not be working in hospitality of he doesn’t know how to treat people. The waitress we had was nice and she deserves to run the place.

Skip eating here if you have the chance, it’s not worth it

Great staff and atmosphere.

Food was alright depending on what you get. Fish - batter is nice a crispy, fish is mushy.

Chicken Sandwich - chicken was torn apart and less than a cm thick. Very tough, you have a rip it with your teeth you cannot bite into it. More panko breading than chicken.

We had an amazing visit at the restaurant today. We were very impressed with the service honoring Covid restrictions. The staff including the manager worked so well together. Our food was well prepared and we enjoyed it very much. I can't say enough about the care we felt for our well being as well as the well being of the staff. Thank you so much.

The Lion's Head Inn restaurant. Where do I start. They offer up a Gluten Free Menu with quite a few items on it but after further questioning they obviously do not understand Gluten Free. Without a dedicated fryer, you can not say you offer up wings, fries, crispy chicken to name a few items. Without a dedicated fryer all items that could be GF are cross contaminated and therefore not Gluten Free.
We ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, it was awful, it had no taste and the chicken was spiceless. I had a burger that was so dry it was barely edible. They at least had a GF bun which I appreciated and it wasn't bad. They also had no cider, one type of vodka, and even though we ordered wine, we never got it.
As we entered they had told us they were closing due to the fact the septic system was full, well it was full all right. The septic was bubbling up in one spot at the side of the restaurant where they had the outdoor seating.
Overall a really poor experience, one that we will not repeat.

This restaurant has a covered screened patio as well as outdoor picnic tables to allow for great times to be hand even during COVID-19. The owner was very friendly and explained the protocols in place before bringing us to our table. From there it was business as usual and our family had a great meal, good was hot and fresh and tastes great!

I had never written a review in my life, but I had to write about this restaurant. Food was awful. Service was very bad. The manager or owner was rude. This is one of the few restaurants in Lions head, and I only wished I never stepped foot inside.

The food was awful, burger was burnt, bland and had a really weird taste, there were an incredible amount of fly's, and just seems very unorganized, had to wait almost 30 mins for a table, just not a great experience at all!

If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. The chicken sandwich I had was bland and tasteless. I would have expected at least some flavour. The fish and chips was also bland and too oily. The service was terrible. The owner is rude and disrespectful to customers and should not be working in hospitality at all. The waitress that we had was sweet though, she should be running the place.

Would never eat here again even if it were my only option

Food was amazing.we had pan fried white fish, and the nightly special carbonara.social distance practice is in place and the staff made it very easy.patio is cute.within walking distance of the beach.
