Great walk at Lion’s Head lookout trail. It is rugged, but the view is totally worth it. Parking is free and there is an app to reserve spots.

Good place to roam around, hike, track, good view from cliff.
Make advance booking for car parking otherwise have to park 1km far on road with pay and park.
Take care while selecting shoes as it is hike, track. Have appropriate cloths as it’s 3km one way hike. Keep medical kit and mosquito replacement spray or cream. Keep energy drink, energy bar with you.

The parking facility at Lion's Head Lookout Trail is exceptional. It's evident that the area is well-maintained, and there's a convenient system in place for booking and utilizing the parking spaces. Booking ahead is a requirement, but the process is incredibly straightforward and tidy. Overall, it's a top-notch experience for those planning to visit this beautiful location.

Great trail, one of the best times to go is during the winter. Just make sure you have your crampons and hiking poles as some sections of the trail gets bit sketchy.

Parking was easy to reach and parks almost 10-15 cars/SUV. We were there on Sunday and it was free of charge that day. Snow walk was almost 4 miles and it was good. Hopefully, it helps.

Stunning view from the top. Reserve your parking online before you go.
Use proper shoes for hiking. Two hour long hike to reach the lookout. Get some water and snacks.

Was a nice trail but it's very rocky and said it was family friendly. It is not. But if ur a hiker it's a great treck for a good hike.

I'm a senior woman, and though it took us a couple of Hours to reach the top, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
We parked our car at the arena and took the free bus that takes people to the entrante of the trail. We return the same way to our car.
The trail has a challenging terrain; very rocky and full of exposed tree roots, and even when we saw some people choosing sandals and even fip flops, I highly recommend wearing sensible foot wear for the adventure.
Bring plenty of water in your back pack, sunscreen lotion, and a good bug repellent.
ENJOY ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VISTAS IN ONTARIO.

We thank greatly all the people that work maintening the trails, organizing the parking, driving the bus, and whatever other job is necessary, to make this experience one memorable one through life.

Nice lookout but lot of people and need to make parking reservations before. Moderate to easy one

More than 1 hour trek one side but worth it when you reach the lookout points. It is so mesmerizing you can spend hours on the cliff

My favourite part of the Bruce Trail! Incredible views & beautiful crystal blue water.
25 September 2022 19:01
Very rocky but no steep climbs where you would feel like you could fall. Whole trail was manageable, even to my 15 lb dog. Took about 1.5 hrs to the lookout with us going an average pace, not too slow or fast

Great trail. NOT. It's a rocky mess. Idk who has managed this trail. But what it once was is no more. The trail has changed and took on a new route almost 8 km. Not flat. Not a trail. It's a mud path if wet. Lots of rocks to stumble on. Some good spot. Not worth the trex. Better veiws better trails. Nature meh. City life. Even worse. We went to the Veiw of the lions head on the ground. And the and dock used it as storage. I tripped banged my shin. Like it was a wasted trip. The city doesn't care. It's sad that they want people to come spend money. And the residents block your veiws.

What an amazing park! The views were stunning! Didn't expect the water to be so clear and clean. The trails were well marked and visible. Maps at the main trail junctions help you make the next decision

Good trekking experience. You will be satisfied with the end result after that long hike. Trail map would be handy otherwise may get into wrong route.
16 December 2021 19:07
The rough trail was worth it once you reached the pot holes and the look out. Half of the trail is rough slippery when wet rocks so it is not a walking trail as such.the pot holes are spectacular.

Beautiful place. Parking is about $20 so not too bad. The hike in is very rocky and not easy. But it is well worth it. Was a little foggy the day we went but still beautiful.
10 December 2021 11:55
The 6k walk was fun. Some rocks are like bones of dinosaurs. The view at the lookout is stunning.
08 December 2021 23:20
Beautiful lookouts along a spectacular trail. You absolutely need good footwear and appropriate clothing to come here. This is one of the nicest hikes anywhere.

Great trail to hike to the top of the hill for breathtaking lakeview. However the long rocky path with tree roots could be challenging to seniors and small kids.
16 November 2021 18:27
The trail is about 16km (up and down) and there is two paths to the final lookout point. The difficulty level in the hiking trail is minimal and could complete the hiking in 2 hours and 1 hour to enjoy the nature's magnificence. Now the parking reservation is made online. The view at the final lookout point is mesmerizing and nature at its best. The trail is plastic-free and eco-friendly.

Scenic spot never visited like this before. It is around 4 km walk for first lookout and other 3 lookout we have walk like bite more like 1.3 km. Best place for hiking. There are place for mountain climbers.
15 November 2021 23:51
Best time to visit this place is until 2pm, because it takes an hour minimum to reach at the top. Only then you will be able to enjoy the view seat there for an hour or 2 and be back at 4 or maximum 5, because the trail on the way back gets very dark and dangerous so its better to be back before 6 in the evening.

Currently is an online reservation system for parking, and the lot is managed by a friendly ranger. The hike to the top of Lions Head is about 2.5km, elevation change is minimal and comfortable for most hikers. The trail is very rocky good shoes needed. The hike itself is fantastic! There are several stunning views, a fun climb and extra trails if you would like to go further. I hiked to the 45th parallel as well for a 9km round trip and had a blast.
13 November 2021 22:29
Beautiful spot, got there before anyone else so the lookout was empty. Trail is rocky, good shoes required.
12 November 2021 1:26
The trail itself is one of the best. If you enjoy rock climbing, Lions head is also one of the best in Ontario. However if you're coming here it is really busy, usually the parking lot is full, they offer a shuttle service here which beats walking from the base of the hill.
09 November 2021 15:21
Absolutely stunning experience. We did not manage the entire 15km but did 12. The views are something to be experienced.
09 November 2021 10:03
Great views throught the trail, parking is small and we need to go early to get the spot but now online system is rolled out so should be easier.

20 minutes drive from Tobermory the Lions head village has this amazing trail situated in Bruce peninsula. The parking on the street in 3 dollars per hour and residents of this village takes 35 dollars per day for parking in cash. The parking is free after 6 pm. Except for long weekend you should be good finding a parking spot. The Lion's head lookout is magnificent sight to behold after 1.5 hours of trail. The trail is much easier if you go with a group and is recommended. The trees are marked with white paint for directions and vigilance is necessary otherwise you can easily go astray in the woods. Shoes with good grip is required as the trail consists of wet stones, tree roots and damp soil. The journey is very peaceful and one will have good physical exercise. After a bit strenous trail you will find yourself on the top of a lookout of about 25 storeys high from the water level from where you can see the stunning Georgian Bay blue-green vast waters and can spend easily 25-30 minutes. The view will be absolutely worth the physical task and is perfect for taking memorable photos. Must visit for sure!

22 October 2021 9:44
Parking reservation required, absolutely not recommended with kids and elderly due to rough terrain and accessibility issues.
19 October 2021 7:44
Immediate parking is really small so we had to park at the school full day $35. Then a shuttle takes you back to the trail parking. Have your best hiking boots and game on. 1 hour up, 1 hour down. You'll know when you've reached the point (shape of a lion's head LoL) Pay close attention to the white blazes so you don't go off path.
11 October 2021 20:02
Amazing view after an hour of hiking. The Bruce trail is almost 5 kms one-way and pretty hard as it’s covered with stones. The parking is limited, so you have to park the car down the street if you don’t reserve parking in the parking lot.
