Lions Valley Park

Normally, this is a beautiful fantastic place to visit. However, it is under construction now, so a large part is blocked off.

It’s a nice circular loop around the Sixteen Mile Creek down into the valley. It’s is a nice getaway from the city with a quick drive. It is a popular place on the weekend for families. The trail is not too challenging.

Urban trail along a river where we saw plenty of big fish. Breathtaking views of autumnal trees, easy and short walking. Parking is in the other side of the road. Recently, during the weekend before Thanksgiving, the trail was crowded but still we enjoy the place.

I love being down in the valley, walking the trails, or having picnics in the sheltered areas.
There are portable washrooms now. There weren’t before

There is some construction work being done in the park so only a small area is available to the public.

One of the best trails I've walked. It goes through quite a few different scenic areas, right beside the river, through the dense forest, a nice bridge and beautiful elevated viewpoints that let you see most of the park below. Has some steep sections that'll get your heart rate up. We visit this park several times a year. Proposed here as well so it's a special place for us. If you love walks, you can't miss this place.

Very nice trail. There is on going construction so not all the trails are accessible. Trails are very nice especially the one going up the hill. Parking is a bit small.

Beautiful day and very interesting signage and sights on the trails. They can be a relaxing stroll through nature or ramp up your experience by taking more adventurace turraine

If you are looking for parking, search for 'Lions Valley parking lot' as Google will take you to one of the private properties.

Despite it being a huge plot of land, there's not a lot of areas to walk around unless you go uphill or the off beaten path. It's mainly blocked by a wide river. One area is under construction, I'm assuming a bridge is going to be built the there? But no sign of construction but fences.

This park is great for dogwalking and picnics. I haven't been here during summer/fall so it might be really pretty during those seasons.

Springtime - be careful of giant hogweeds - there was a sign posted in one area that will have it, but you'll need to pay attention to the sign.

Overall an excellent park with the Sixteen Mile Creek being the main natural feature. The trail system is extensive with lot of opportunities of exploration.

Great trail for nice refreshing walk out in the woods. There's a lil stream of water, bridge, stairs, challenging uphill and downhill walk. Lots of bikers and people walking their dogs on leash which is good. Plenty of Parking available in the plaza across the street.

Piece of advice just make sure you get out of the same exit where you entered from, I say that as I got lost one time and had a hard time finding the right way.

Beautiful park, main parking lot can be packed sometimes, however u can find parking around but you'd have to know the area. Unfortunately I don't, so I can't help u, but my GPS usually helps me find a spot. So many hiking spots, has a perfect little playground. Beautiful in fall for a hike and pictures it's definitely a must visit!

Only reason I give this park a 4 is because a whole portion of it is closed for construction. They will be building a bridge according to a construction worker but he didn't have a time-line. Otherwise, this park is fabulous, an oasis in Oakville! Great for a hike, a wee bit short for a bike ride, but wonderful to be in nature so close to the city. Being inside the quiet, picturesque ravine really makes you forget about the outside world. The wildlife is super cool and we even saw a beaver! How cool.

Beautiful park in a nice valley. 16 mile creek runs through it. Hiking trails, picnic and bbq areas and lots of room to run around. Great place for a day trip.

Excellent trail. Provide hours of enjoyment. With lookouts and nice elevations. Many off paths you can follow. They have playground and some benches at near the main entrance.

You are not allowed to park downhill.so there is a limited parking space right at the top of the hill and in the church parking lot i guess.nice and vast and a beautiful hiking trail.
