Little Current Swing Bridge

It was a wonderful experience watching it open.
It will open every day for the first 15 mins of each hour. However, it is common for it not to open as it only opens when there is a waiting ship.

A rustic and iconic swing bridge for entering and exiting Manitoulin Island.

This swinging bridge swings hourly which takes about 15 minutes of waiting time with breathtaking views of the bridge itself in motion and in surroundings as well to enter into the bridge when it swings.

Awesome place…there is a lookout place at *Little Current* info centre.

All good, as long as you get there before the hour, twenty minute wait for the bridge to open and close

Very cool bridge and the only way onto the Island coming from the North. Thought I would snap a couple pictures of it while I was here. You have to wait sometimes to drive across but it's definitely very neat.
