Nice park for little walk or picnic, there is place for baseball and good spot for watching planes landing to BBTCA

Discovered this gem a few days ago while out on a walk. It’s my new favourite for an evening walk. Love the surroundings, the lake view, the place as a whole! Good thing, it’s not far from Harbourfront, for people who stay by the Harbourfront. Love how well maintained it is!

Neat little green space down by the lake and next to billy Bishop airport. There's a ball diamond which is good.

Being close to the airport also means plenty of airplane noise though

This is one of Toronto's much better city parks and even more special because of it's very close proximity to The Billy Bishop City Center Airport

The park has unique features however the lion/stone climbing area is a little dangerous for little children.

Une ile à dix minutes de bateaux de down town Toronto à visiter absolument moment de détente absolue

Little Norway has history behind it as this was the camp for Norwegian army in the war
Baseball diamond, great place to picnic
Childrens play area
Great views of the City and lake
10 September 2021 6:55
Great space for exercising and getting some fresh air.
Lots of free green space to do your own thing, or join other fitness groups in the area.
Just a forewarning: there are a lot of cyclists in the area so be careful when arriving/leaving by car, or when walking across the streets.

Very pretty park for families.
A few scattered picnic tables under the shade of trees. Perfect for a weekend afternoon. Quiet despite being so central.

This has been one of my favorite parks for over 20 years but it loses a star for the amount of crackhead who have taken over. Last time I visited the washrooms were locked and portable potties were available. Opened the door to see a needle floating in the toilet.

Overall a great park, but they still haven't fixed the splash pad. Every once in a while there's some litter around too.
15 July 2021 8:46
Last year I crushed my thumb, got it stitched up and ended up here waiting, I had only spent about 20 minutes but I really enjoyed my experience! 5/5 I would definitely crush another finger for that day
14 July 2021 14:04
Very nice for children with its fence and varied facilities (double swing, sand, water pond during hottest months in the summer, oak trees around providing sort of cool shades). The lake and a small busy ferry terminal besides also provide some vivid scenery for adults to relax you eyes from you cellphones. However, somewhat hard to find free parking as it is close to both the ferry terminal and a cluster of residences. Paid parking is available but fairly expensive.

Dogs running at large, tent city; not much room or space for wheelchairs, or vehicle parking, especially with employees of island airport using up street parking; also, sometimes the children's playgrounds look more like a prison exercise yard; also, very dangerous as there are many predators housed in neighboring Toronto Housing, and Toronto ombudswomen, Susan O Oplerwho lives across the street, isn't the least bit interested in safety concerns, even less than Toronto mayors, past and present.
28 June 2021 21:22
Medium size park with a little bit of everything from kids playground, wadding pool, washrooms, large field, baseball diamond, assortment of gardens.

The only concern is the people that tend to congregate in the park after dark. I suggest to have someone with you if you need to attend the park during this time.

My favourite park along the water front - a quiet gem by the Toronto island airport. Kids play area right by the lake, baseball diamond, workout bars, and bike share all in one spot.
10 June 2021 20:16
Great view of CN tower from the park. Ample space for picnic. Has kids playground in the back. Walking all the way back, you might see flights taking off Billy Bishop airport and the beautiful Lake Ontario.
01 June 2021 11:30
Great spot to do DIY workouts outside! Definitely suggested during to get out and about for physical excersize during the pandemic
26 May 2021 6:18
Great playground for kids. Large green space. See a lot of people working out, playing catch and just hanging out on the grass with there families and friends.
26 May 2021 0:24
Great park for walking your dog, having a picnic or playing sports or exercising. The only negative thing are there are so many off leash dogs in the park, and lots of dog poop on the ground.
21 May 2021 14:20
Had a quiet and relaxing time. Very peaceful and quaint. People follow social distancing protocols. Also has a softball court, if you want to take your kids out for a fun activity. Next to the water front and right besides the Billy Bishop Airport.

Cool place to stop for a breather. Watch the boats. Somebody dropped a buttplug over by the large washrooms [which are very spacious inside and well kept]. I don't judge.
07 November 2020 10:28
Often forgotten but always beloved - this park is very well maintained, and is lined with playgrounds on the north and south side of the park, and a baseball diamond on the south-east end. Trees offer shade on the perimeter. Limited bench seating options compared to other parks.
03 November 2020 9:57
A great park with an amazing history. Close to the water and right beside the ferry. Watch out for softballs. The ball diamond is a tad small.
02 November 2020 13:30
Quite the charming little park. The surroundings of the public bathrooms stink with a strong smell of pee, though.
28 October 2020 6:28
The photo is from the underwater tunnel to Billy Bishop airport. The airport is completely empty due to Covid. The escalators from the tunnel to the ground floor are not running. You look up at this massive run of stairs and think "I can do it". When you get to what you thought was the the top, you see the second row of stairs which is just as daunting. If I counted correctly it was 151 stairs in total. I went back a week later and found out the elevators had still been working. The five stars are based on my surviving the climb.
30 September 2020 20:14
Such a sweet wading pool, was not busy when I went on a weekend. There is also a park enclosed in the same area as the wading pool and washrooms are open. Great place for a picnic or to sit by the dock and watch the boats pass by.
24 September 2020 12:52
Great little uncrowded park with shade across from sushi and a little mart to oick up refreshments for a picnic. Right next to public bathroom and splash park for kids. Score free parking if you do a few circles around.

This is a hidden gem along the Downtown Toronto Harborfront shoreline, park tucked away right at the intersection of Bathurst and Queens Quay and overlooking the the CN Tower to the south-east and the Billy Bishop Airport directly south across the water and to the Exhibition Place to your west. It also has a 3 playgrounds and one of them has a rock climbing structure to get on the slides and climbing equipment for that adventurous little monkey in your life.

I especially loved the large wading pool which is tucked under a lot of trees and has benches, giving a much-needed respite to parents/guardians on a hot day. The kids will love how big the wading pool is, that it isn’t overly crowded like other wading pools tend to be, the planes and helicopters and boats that they see coming and going. Moreover, this wading pool is open until 6pm
13 August 2020 12:37
Beehive of activity, picnics, games and exercisers of all sorts, families and friend groups. Large open field with lots of shade spots and a splash pad play area for children. Tucked in behind all that is a mid sized area beside the airport ferry, lots of shade and great view of pleasure craft coming and my going in the straight heading out to open water. Variety store on the northwest corner for snacks, cold drinks and there's usually an ice cream truck and or hotdog vendor nearby. Large washrooms w/ handicap access kept clean regularly by Park staff. One of my favourite Toronto parks to meet with friends and hang out.
30 July 2020 17:38
Beautiful park with swing sets, pull up bars, a few shaded benches and a decent size grass area. Pleasant little park!
12 July 2020 16:29
There were some large groups, not practicing social distancing, however, most of the groups did. There are porter potties, but they were disgusting. Overall positive experience and nice space
19 June 2020 22:43
Nice little park, splash pad for the kids and playground as well. Fenced in for safety due to lake being so close by I suspect. Good planning with that regard.
30 April 2020 16:47
Waiting to pick up a friend at Island Airport. The park is very small and quiet. Great little neighbourhood park.
24 February 2020 12:33
Close to downtown and it is always the best place if you want to get some cool fresh air on a hot summer day. It has a playground for kids, a baseball diamond, and there are some basketball courts are located beside the park.
12 October 2019 10:48
Community park beside Island Airport on Harborfront playground and places to sit and enjoy. During World War 1 Norwegian Pilots were stationed hear well training at the Island airport hence the community became known as Little Norway
05 October 2019 6:21
A really good place for younger kids (6 or under). The playground equipment is definitely not designed with older kids in mind. There are washroom facilities and a wading pool that kids will enjoy in July and August. Before driving here, note that it's almost impossible to find street parking nearby on weekends (maybe ever).

I've flown out of Billy Bishop a dozen times and never noticed this little gem parked right next to it.

I recently moved close by and love taking my dogs down to the water and around the park for a walk.

The plaques commemorate the historic event.very clean and well maintained. Locals are friendly as well.

Next time you're walking through Billy Bishop and have a bit of time to kill, walk through the park nestled right next door!

Cool park with decent sized wading pool, bathroom, and some play structures. Bit light on play the structure side but cool nontheless.

This park reminds me of Norway, which is nice. Hopefully someone can figure out where to install the Fjords.
