Little Tokyo Japanese Korean Restaurant

Today I tried a serving of chicken udon and two servings of snacks. The taste was good but the portion was small! Before I left the meal. I still didn't feel full! In addition, this restaurant does not provide water or hot tea to guests. I hope they can improve this! The environment is rather dark!

I highly recommend the rainbow rolls and spicy tuna rolls

The place has been around for a decade and in my opinion the portions are very generous and filling for the prices, and in my opinion the best value is the rainbow rolls.

Amazing food and service. I’ve been going here for years and their chicken bibimbap never disappoints!

Normally I don’t write review but this restaurant is the worst. Their price is way over priced. I ordered Sashimi combo which is 17.99 and they gave me only 9pcs of Salmon and 3pcs shrimp. Salmon taste no good and how they cut the Sashimi is like unprofessional. Also their service is no good. I won’t go back

I DON’T NORMALLY WRITE RESTAURANT REVIEW BUT THIS ONE WORTH MY LONG REVIEW! BEWARE OF THEIR UNNOTIFIED EXTRA CHARGE!
The food were terrible. Not sure how people find this place a gem. The teriyaki chicken rice had some Chinese egg noodle inside? ! The Yakisoba had half a scoop of cold rice beside it, covered with sauce. Seems like giving me whatever left over in their kitchen to us.
At checkout, the lady (I think she was the owner) didn’t plan to give me a receipt, I paid for and paid $25 tips, when I asked for receipt with details, she told me that she had added 20% service charge on my bill ALREADY because we have more than 6 people, I asked her why she didn’t tell me about it and I have paid extra tips on my bill because of that. She said, “SERVICE CHARGE IS DIFFERENT, IT’S NOT TIPS! ”
Honestly I would be ok if she have told me beforehand. With not even a single cup of water being served to us (with no one else in the store), I don’t see why did I have to pay for 30% in total In SERVICE CHARGE + TIPS! What a scam! My whole party was soooooo upset and haven’t experienced this kind of low grade food and service for a long long time!

Ordered the Beef Teriyaki for $14.75 expecting the full portion they used to serve in the large square container which was very satisfying but surprisingly got it in the half-size rectangular container and wasn't even filled past mid height to compensate. The food itself was watery and bland with little ingredients compared to how they made it years ago.

Justifiably they should be charging half the price.

Kind owners, i just got a sushi bento but it was so fresh and quality, really generous salmon portions, very satisfied with the meal:) i have to come back sometime to try their hot meals, because while they were cooking up other orders before mine it smelled amazing!

I would highly recommend this place it is so delicious I loved the beef dumplings and there udon soup.

No delivery, no paying online. The food was alright but could have had more flavour. Friendly staff.

I'm currently working on some Korean - North American hybrid dish, and from my experience all I can say that they offer food that can be enjoyed by many people from different culture as this is as close to real Japanese/Korean hybrid restaurant as it gets. I'm a bit concerned as their kids that work there seems to be quite depressed and upset, not sure what the cause is. But I really hope they are doing ok especially during this difficult times.

If you would like to try something different than places like Owl of Minerva or Miga, this is one place I would strongly suggest to try. Also very affordable.

One thing they could improve is probably the interior, as some may consider it too dark. But I don't notice it at all thanks to their amazing dish.

With a 4.5 rating why not? …. Well it was flavourless soggy and we could not finish any of the dishes …. A complete waste of a dinner and it was not cheap… so disappointed.

This place has been around for a long long time and I’ve been going to it for at least 15 years. The owners are so kind and welcoming and the food… the food is literally the best Korean take out I have ever had. You must try this place it is absolutely a hidden gem of Oakville.

My bf and I love going to Little Tokyo for some Curry chicken, and their vegetable dumplings! The couple who are always working there are so kind and the food has always been tasty and satisfying.

Love the owners, love the food.used to go every Tuesday and got the same chicken yakisoba.at some point I stopped having to say my order when I walked in.the only reason I stopped going is cause I moved.all around good place

I have been going here for years and always get the Spivey Chicken Curry and Beef Dumplings. Both are incredible. I highly recommend giving them a try.

I had a superb experience in this restaurant. We liked the amazing vibes and the menu. The staff members were super personal. I am happy we ultimately managed to visit this restaurant.

This place is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. We regretted not going to McDonald's across the street. We had 3 different dishes and they were all awful. You have to pay for water and no heat in January.

This place is absolutely one of the most pleasant restaurants in the neighborhood. Every time I go there I am extremely satisfied. They always keep their high standard service and the highest level of meals they give. You always win with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Very disappointing. We ordered 2 makis. Cucumber & avocado and futomaki. Rice was under seasoned in both cased. Nori was breaking apart and couldn't hold the fotomaki. 2 orders of chicken teriyaki was fine, but the spicy pork dish was average. It did not taste like other spicy pork dishes in other Korean restaurants. We did eat there and ordered up front. We sat down and just waited for the food to come. The waitress didn't even bother to ask if we wanted anything else or even anything else to drink. When I paid, she asked if we got any drinks? This assumes we are to get it ourselves. I said no, there was not even any water. She said clearly they only have bottle water and we are to pay for it. Ok fine, then when I paid, the first entry is 15% tip? For what? She clearly knew we were first time there and it would have been nice if she explained a few things. Unfortunately we won't be going back.

Service was average, place was a hole in the wall. The food was not good at all! No flavors, just overly sweetened sauces dumped on food. Do no recommend just hoping I don’t get sick

Came here for the chicken yakisoba (ordered mild because I couldn't take spicy food). I called for a pickup and she said it'll be ready in 10 minutes. I reached there a few minutes earlier and the food was already ready! The yakisoba was really good, and for the price I think the portion is big. Love it and would definitely come back again!

Little Tokyo is my FAVORITE RESTAURANT EVER! It is delicious, the service is superb, I honestly can't think of any flaw!

Small little hole in the wall with great food. Used to come several times a week before we moved. Back after a 3 year absence and just as great as I remembered. Chicken Yakisoba was excellent! Order it hot.

Been going here for about 10 years. The food here is always amazing and the family that run it are so kind. Always a great experience.

I ordered take out, 1 order of green dragon roll and 1 order of beef yakisoba. They charged me $11 plus tax for a roll that isn't even a dragon roll. It's completely tasteless and doesn't have shrimp tempura or any sauce. Dry and disgusting. They haven't cleaned their stove top in 30 years and they close for "lunch break" from 2: 30-4: 30 everyday. You are operating a restaurant, completely unprofessional. Save your money, dont go here.

Really good food and I like the interior of the restaurant. However, they're cash and debit only so watch out for that.
