After a double whammy of Korean BBQ and Japanese ramen, Liu Yishou Hot Pot is simply the light of East Asian food in Ottawa

It would have been fantastic if this was an AYCE hot pot place (Toronto locations are). To start off the tomato & spicy seafood base is the best! The meat is also of good quality and tastes great. However, its very pricey as you would have to keep ordering trays of beef, chicken, etc as the quality is not sufficient to satisfy in one order. Makes the whole experience very expensive and unfortunately not feasible. Hope they switch to an AYCE option and we can visit more often!

It was our first time doing hot pot and Jerry made amazing selections for us, explained how to make the yummy dipping sauces, and how to gauge the level of heat to where we wanted it so the food was spicy but not too much.

Absolutely amazing service, the food was fresh and great, and they had options everyone at the table could enjoy.

Absolutely I recommend their restaurant and we will definitely be back again soon.

The taste is very good and the portion is huge. I can’t finish what I ordered by myself The waiter Ellie is a great girl!

I thought the food quality would be better considering how much you’re paying for. We spent about $100 for 2 people which consisted of 1 plate of meat, noodles and veggies. It’s on the expensive side for sure. The staff was attentive and polite, I wish there was a little more ventilation, especially if you’re getting the spicy pot.

The table beside me were not use to chopsticks and sadly the restaurant didn’t have any utensils for them to use. The plates were still very wet and dirty when we received them.

The soup itself was good and flavourful and the best part was the sauce station.

My husband really enjoyed the food. It was our first time trying a hotpot and it was a fun activity. I wouldn't do it again just because I am too impatient and not good with cooking my own food.

Sadly my family and I wanted to eat here and the worker was extremely rude. They didn't have room for us to have 1 big pot but wanted us to pay double the price for 4 small pots even thought we only wanted the one flavour. She immediately said no and interrupted us when we were trying to speak. I'm truly disappointed. We walked out and won't be coming back here to eat. I don't recommend this place and I recommend that staff receive some type of customer service training.

I like Liu Yishou hotpot very much! Their hot pot base is very delicious, and the ingredients are fresh and varied, allowing me to taste different delicacies every time. The waiters were also very friendly and professional, always able to accommodate our needs. Moreover, their environment is clean and tidy, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely patronize Liu Yishou Hotpot again and highly recommend it to everyone! We were served by Jerry, overall, it was great

Pretty authentic Chinese hot pot, the food is really fresh and the waitress is giving pretty clear instructions on how to cook each item differently. Special thanks to Ellie that helped us a lot!
