Loblaws

Mariah who works there was very abrupt and rude today. I am a loyal customer and have been for very long, however, today when I asked a question regarding Loblaws, she responded with looking at me up and down and then saying no right away. It was very off putting. I stopped my shopping and left shortly after.

We had purchased a cake labeled as “Chocolate Cheesecake”, unfortunately when we got to the relatives house that the cake was intended for we realized that it was not cheesecake and it was chocolate mousse instead. I immediately contacted Loblaws management to voice my disquiet and concerns. I had the pleasure of speaking to Adrian, the store manager. I believe that great customer service is very very important and Adrian was spot on. From my first point of contact with Adrian, up to and including when this issue was resolved, the level of customer service and support that was exercised by Adrian was nothing short of spectacular. Adrian immediately took steps to resolve the problem and he went above and beyond what I was expecting. We were treated with the utmost good faith and Adrian resolved our concerns in a very professional and effective manner. Thank you Adrian for the great customer service and support and for truly caring about customer service.

Overpriced with lazy staff.

After 8 P. M.the store discounts perishable items at the deli. But first they will inflate the original price so that the 50% off is close to regular, for food that has been sitting all day.

The deli staff are incredibly lazy. I requested some deli meat at 7: 45 P. M.and the elderly staff member told me they couldn't because the store was closing soon, at 9 P. M.

Save a buck and go elsewhere.

This store and in particular the managers go above and beyond to make things right. Highly recommend.

Not the best Loblaws around with a small selection. Staff is very hit or miss. A couple of the cashiers in particular are unpleasant to deal with. One wraps her sleeves around her hands so she doesn't have to handle the food and will comment on your purchases. The worst is the cashier you'll often find at the lotto booth station. She always has her best scowl on for all the customers.

Went in to grab a couple things. Went to the self checkout. One item was a croissant. After searching the croissant up, the checkout displayed an error and told us to wait for an employee. So we did. After having to ask another employee for help we finally got a cashier to help, only to be met with attitude. If employee of the month was awarded based on being condescending, she would win every month. She wouldn't listen to our problem and instead acted like we were at fault and told us that the light needs to be red for there to be a problem. What does flashing yellow mean? It is still a mystery to this day. After telling us to search up the item (which we did), she couldn't find the croissant item and just scanned it as a basic pastry.

Clearly the staff do not care so if an item doesn't ring up, just steal it. Who cares? They don't.

The best part about it was that the croissant wasn't even good.

This particular store often doesn't have products that are in the flyer. Good butchery and seafood counter. Fresh bakery. A bit pricey, but what isn't these days?

This store is great! I found my favorite snack here, Bean Bark! Although this is a smaller Loblaw, this store is always kept clean and everyone is very friendly! It is great to see Loblaw carrying healthier foods and local foods made in Ontario!

Walking distance from broad view subway station. One would find all types of products and items, from food to cakes and dairy.
Good crowd and helpful staff

Good for quick things that you need last minute but not great for a full shopping as it is a smaller store should be a no frills but clean and friendly staff

We were just in there and the manager made our day with a product. Happy Easter and Thank You Very Much!

This is a smaller Loblaws. It is good for essentials but if you want all the bells and whistles go to the Maple Leaf Gardens, Bayview or Lakeshore and Leslie locations.

Sadly this is the worst Loblaws i have ever visited in toronto.much of the staff there is very rude especially a girl working in the deli i dont remember her name …i just asked for the restrooms and she lashed out at me and said i m on break! Hope the manager will take this issue seriously and teach his employees to give some respect to the customers

Pretty good selection, good for cakes if you need for an event. They have great hot fried chicken wings in the hot foods area. There is sushi also. Joe Fresh at that location too. Mobile phones at entrance, you can get lots of PC points when you get a phone during a promotion. It's very bright inside store.

This is one of the smallest Loblaws left in Toronto, so that has its own challenges. The people who work here however, are all incredible hardworking people I am proud to call my neighbours. The cashiers are friendly and highly skilled, and all of their other staff are polite and helpful. I recently had a moment of low blood pressure while checking out in the store and almost fainted - the staff immediately rushed to help me and brought me water and made sure I was able to get home safely. Thank you for your kindness and quick thinking! I have seen them leap into action when people have needed help outside of the store as well. There are some amazingly kind people working here and I will mourn the loss of this store when it's torn down for condos.

Very small store. Sale items were out of stock on first day of sale and when I asked when the items might arrive I was told they were scheduled to arrive the next day (2nd day of sale)

Always a great shopping experience. One thing I'd change, the 'Hot Food'. Get someone there that knows how to broil chicken properly and make one or two side dishes and you'll make a bundle. Whoever cooks now can't! Go easy on the Paprika! You can't even taste the chicken

It’s ok. The cashier I think was on life support. Could of replaced her with a broom handle, would’ve probably gotten more of a response

They call this the little store with the big heart, when they should really just level this place and build a bigger (taller?) store.

Been coming here since I moved to Riverdale 11 years ago, but less and less these days. I have spent 10’s of thousands of dollars here in this time, as I used to do all my shopping here. Call me an expert.

The last few times I have gone to this Loblaws, employees have “discretely” followed me around like I’m stealing. The first time an employee even ran up behind me while I was bagging some produce, as if I was doing something wrong. It’s very unnerving having a person sprint up right behind you.

I think there is a new manager at this Broadview location for the past year or two and that’s roughly when I started feeling uncomfortable here. For the record, I dress like a normal guy and don’t believe I look like a criminal or vagrant. I don’t carry any bags with me or anything to even put stolen goods into. I have never once in my life experienced this behaviour from any other store, grocery or otherwise. I have never even thought about stealing anything from Loblaws… but I have thought about never going back.

The cashiers are the reason for the 2 stars, otherwise it would be less. From bad meat that they refuse to refund, to poor selection and lack of visible prices, there are so many better places close by, from Sobeys to No Frills and all the independent shops along the Danforth. At this point, I hope this Loblaws gets turned into a small Blue Sky or T&T (which I believe Loblaws owns) and keep the cashiers, or at least 90% of them.

Despite everything I'm always happy when I go here service is top notch and the selection is unparalleled well maybe Carlton has a better store but this one is on point with it worth a visit.

This is my go-to Loblaw's near home. When I just need the basics it's handy and has everything I need. Plus very friendly cashiers. And good pandemic protocols, very clean and sanitized.

Was just subject to a neat grift where I was almost fully checked out when another employee asked for a "price check" on an item. That item was then added to my bill and if I had not noticed I would have paid for this employees groceries.
Maybe instead of having staff robbing your already struggling patrons Loblaws could pay them a wage in which they wouldn't have to try and have me pay for their food.

P.s if you go to this site watch your bill closely!

Really really need to watch what you buy here. Just got home and realized the meat I bought was already rancid. Not the first time this has happened. Watch the meats, produce, and breads (so many loaves of moldy bread in the summer).

I've only been here a couple times and that only because it's the closest loblaws to me. It wasn't crowded at all. It was very clean inside and I found what I was looking for quickly. The cashier was super friendly and even made a suggestion which resulted in me changing a product I had gotten to something else. The change did not only save me a few dollars but her suggestion worked out fine when I got home.

This location gets the job done for me. They have great staff paired with an amazing location. It’s minutes from my house. When my girlfriend is being naughty, I can just walk downstairs and grab the stuff we need. There’s a gentleman in HMR with long hair and my gf could not stop talking about him. She said it was like Jesus was serving her food, I think she had feelings for him. His name was Mohanned or something. Another gentleman named Saman helps me too whenever I go in evenings he’s a tall boy who works very hard. Whenever I see him he’s working his buttocks off.

Been in this nabe since 2000. I can walk to this loblaws but I don't unless I'm in a super hurry. WAY overpriced! Horrible service. The staff look so unhappy. Some barely speak English. Aggressive panhandler in front. I'll take the 505 to Freshco, thanks. Update 28/12/20-Been shopping here often during covid. Much better. You have to search a bit, but there are deals to be had and most cashiers are nice.

It's a small Loblaws - one of the earlier stores - but it has the necessary brands. Not as much walking about as the bigger stores - for me that's a plus.

Good location. 2 hour parking (if you're shopping at Loblaws). A smaller sized store compared to other Loblaws locations but has a very good selection considering the size. Not too far from Broadview subway station. Staff were very friendly and quick cashiers.

Great prices, superb customer service.
If you need something, they will get it for you!

One thing you you should know is that there are no whole chickens available. Only legs, thighs and and the usual breasts. This is not a family store, it's a last minute convenience location. Also proves cater to the neighbourhood which is trendy and wealthy. Expect a 3 percent hike in general. Service is excellent, masks available at door. No line up

Small Loblaws store in Toronto area. Location South of Danforth Avenue on Broadview Avenue. Customer Service just okay. Products selections are okay. Bakery section & Bakery selections are okay too. I couldn't play $10 Lotto, because Customer game selection table got no pencil or pen. Store lost my lotto sale. Clean store, Got better parking space & Walking distance from TTC Broadview Subway Station Line 2. Located at 720 Broadview Avenue, Toronto

Went into this store for one specific item. Encountered a very rude staff member who told me I should ask for things by the proper name and she would have been able to help me.

Visiting a grocery store.during this Pandemic Insanity s/b DIFFICULT. Despite long lineup, I got in fast. They were sold out of a dew things, which is to be expected, but for the most part, pretty much a pleasant experience. 3rd time in a row I got a half-priced chicken. I live about 6 blocks away from the store, great store for the most part!

Dead rat in parking lot, cat and dog food sizes normally buy not on the shelves.as per usual, manager says they put out what head office sends them, crappie way to do things leaves u going store to store trying to get what you need

Smaller than Carlton and Church but good selection on most items except biologique yogurt at 8% or higher and a few other items. Friendly, helpful staff.

Today I brought a reusable shopping bag and they did not bag my groceries. They were left in a pile and the cashier put my bag on top. Second time this happened. Very small selection. Every time I visit there is always something I want to buy that has no price.

It's not bad, but it's often missing critical cooking staples. Staff are mostly all very friendly; it's nice chatting at checkout.

Great hours, produce is typically fresh and some hard to find items from around the world are stocked here.

Conveniently located by Broadview Station, decent variety, smaller than most locations so it doesn't has as much as others but it's a good option for the area.

Definitely the worst Loblaws in the city. I can't tell you how many times I've seen incorrect pricing or missing price labels on shelves, like they're going out of their way to scam customers.

Good in a pinch but expect to find only a portion of your grocery list here, they are woefully lacking in selection. Prices are also high.

We were concerned, being from out of town, that Loblaws wouldn't have what we needed for our dietary restrictions but they came through. We rounded a corner and had a whole section dedicated to dairy free, gluten free, organic, etc. We were thrilled - and we'll be back!

Omg.worst.store ever I seen.needs to be renovated or knocked down.not a very good job here at all.and bottled water is 4.99.gouging! Walmart is at 2.69

Great place and very friendly costumer service. However if your shopping at their Joe fresh area- beware they hardly have anyone there to help you.

Very little stock available. Not impressed with meat department. Many items for sale included cuts with lots of fat to increase cost to consumer. Some meats looked like they were leftover from previous week. Prices comparable to Metro and Sobeys which is high priced. Could not find products that were advertised in flyer. Staff must be invisible or hiding so I can not report on their friendliness. Very disappointed.

Clean, well layed out and cool on a very hot day. The cashier was very friendly and Helpful. I came in particularly for a dairy special for my friend, one who suffers from Musculoor Diistrophy and can't get out, she gave me the special price, I needed 12 items (6 over the limit). This store is a credit to the LOBLAWS NAME. I took the bus but it appears there was ample parking, time was about 2pm. They had a nice flower display just out in front of the front doors. Overall it was a quick trip in and out. I be back to spend more money.

My go-to in the neighbourhood. Better deals and great friendly staff, my only complaint would be the selection when it comes to certain items.

The location is great and the staff are nice, but everything else is poor. This has potential to be a great store, but it is very inconsistent.

Convenient spot down the street from Broadview Station. Doesn't have the same selection as some of the larger locations, and their shopping carts need change, but it's organzed and well stocked, and their produce is fresh. Been a few times and it's consistent, hasn't been too busy but generally gone after work.
