Loblaws

Truly the worst Loblaws: they leave the security gates closed to control traffic so it feels like a store that sells ammo. Expensive, grubby; the only nice thing is the people who work there.

It's not that giant Loblaws store but still good with most of varieties of groceries.

Used to be a great little store, who had an amazing Butcher, Peter and Gord was fantastic in the Fish department, stopped going there as the manager, Gina was insane.

Awesome muffins and baked goods lots of different foods prices are a little high but well worth it will return again

Going to this Loblaws is hit or miss. Selection is smaller than average and prices are astonishingly inflated (as is par for the course for Loblaws), but on top of that they sometimes leave expired items on the shelf, staple items often run out (especially parsley, which always seems to be wilted here), and you need to pay attention when checking out or when you get a price sticker at the meat counter, because the price often rings up higher than indicated. What makes up for this are their cheap hot counter combos, and the customer service is usually pretty great. I still go here pretty frequently, but if I'm organised enough I find that just ordering groceries from Walmart is cheaper.

This Loblaws store is a busy hub for residents and commuters. They seem to keep it pretty clean, tidy and running smoothly. The staff are super approachable.

I know this store must be great for commuters on TTC where you can grab a few things, self check-out and go, however I find the layout of this store to be super confusing and cramped. The staff aren't at fault for how the aisles are structured but this store gets crowded very quickly and the inventory selection is not great.

A bit overpriced for every day grocery shopping but sometimes they got nice deals and fresh in season produce. We picked 2lb of blueberries for a discounted price whereas the week before we paid the same amount for the smallest size.

Terrible loblaws. Like it's been ransacked on the regular. I've been to many urban Canadian grocery stores and this place is a mess

Fantastic grocery store, well stocked and with great customer service.

I would only recommend more variety in the lunchtime salads and for the soup to be made available earlier in the day (like 11am onwards).

Terrible seafood selection, green vegetables are often wilted or unavailable, fruit is often dry inside, limited selections, workers are surly. Not a great store.

Absoluetly love this Loblaws. I like how it's integrated right into St. Clair Station. I also love the 5$ chicken box and it's the main reason I go here. I got it recently and it never fails to exceed expectations. I don't often come here for groceries but judging by the size of the store and the moderness I can't imagine it wouldn't have everything one would need.

Love Loblaws and this little store is just as nice. Everything was easy to find and checkout was quick.

Painful to check out. Long lines that cut through the produce section. Only two cashiers open. Self checkout congested as well.

Got a cake sliced, came back home and noticed that the slice was bitten off at the tip. I got my refund which is nice, but idk it's a horrific even so i won't be coming back.

Very clean and organized, the morning staff at the hot meals counter are always friendly and ready to serve.

This store is beautiful and very spread out lots of room to look around and they have an amazing selection. Staff is really friendly and they have great hours of operation.

This renovated Loblaws at St. Clair East Avenue is very compact design. Bakery section really good. Best food section too. Love Sushi section. Vegetables & Fruits section are so good. Great Customer Service & Friendly Staff. Few steps inside from St. Clair TTC Subway Station. Super market got clean washroom too.

Interestingly this Loblaws resides in the same building that houses George Weston Ltd. - the parent company of Loblaws.

But don’t let this affect your expectations, it’s just like any other store. A little pricier than the other grocery stores in the area. But the team has done a great job during COVID and their produce is always good and the merchandising is well organized. A bit of a funky layout though with the store divided in two.

Its a loblaws but for its size it has pretty good selection, and they always have a great deal on at least one of the deli meats.

Excellent selection of food and other things. Sale items are best during weekdays and not so much weekends since it's their busy times. Staff are cool and not boujee. I wish head office paid and treated them better, but hey, what's an extra $1 billion in a Weston pocket anyway, right? Besides that, the staff does a great job organizing and staying positive and possessing the ability to read the customers. This is my favourite Loblaws on the planet. Thank you and keep it up!

Long and narrow location that has a little bit of everything, lacks variety. Good clearance sections at the back right rear of the store and/or near the produce/cheese area

One of the best loblaws stores. All of the staff and management bend over backwards to accommodate your enquiries and suggestions. The 5 dollar cooked chicken lunch deal with a side is one if the best deals in town. Delicious, great value.
I once had my wallet stolen and didn't get my card replaced before the bank closed. The manager, after i explained, paid for supplies for my meal that night from his own pocket, i think, and didn't even want me to pay him back. Great local neighbourly feel.

Great store right at st clair subway station. Fruits and vegetables are quite fresh with nominal prices.

I like to call this location the 'quiet on set, sound, speed, rolling, background action, action' lowblaws because it's joke-sized small.it feels like you're on a film set in a studio it's so small.you can always count on them for having a nice stock of a few pears, a couple of boxes of tampons and some weird hooks for your wall or something.if you hate selection and love frozen pizzas this will be your favourite store.the staff are lovely and helpful and very safe.

I like a lot of their fresh made foods, pre made sandwiches, food bar with fried chicken and fries is good price and cheap.

I go early in the morning, deal with the same cashier, she's amazing (gotta get her name), well stocked, polite staff

Love the recent renovations, most of the staff are very nice and helpful.except some cashiers. There's a couple that seem angry pretty much every time I visit. Not very customer service oriented.

Useless, careless employees. Don't trust them to give customer assistance when asked, they'll ignore you and get frustrated with you. Maybe train your employees to actually listen to customers! Will NOT be shopping here again and will be letting others know.

It’s a busy supermarket due to the carpark, street car, and subway in the same building. Ok selection, but often out of stock of key staples.

Good selection, conviently located at St. Clair subway. Pricing a little more than other places, but quality is good. A bit smaller compared to most Loblaws.

I use the selfcheckout because their selfcheckout attendants have always been helpful and pleasant. Cashiers are a hit or miss. I wish they would remind some cashiers to take the time to bag our goods properly and fully instead of doing a haphazard job because their too eager to serve the next customer.

The self checkouts are a waste of time. Usually I have to wait for a cashier in the morning so I decided to use the self checkout where cash option is available. The machine had issues scanning food. It called for help when I never pressed any help button on the screen. Additionally when it came time to pay, the total came to $18.57. I put in a $20 bill and the checkout machine took my money and said please wait on the attendant and I never got my change. A process that should have taken 2 or 3 minutes MAX took 20 mins. I further was waiting on someone to check out the machine and ring in my groceries at the cashier lane. This just goes to show that A LOT more work needs to go into having working machines and enough staff in the mornings at the loblaws at Yonge and St. Clair Ave.

Overpriced, poorly organized, with haphazard staff, though the location is handy, it must be one of the worst Loblaws in the city. If you have the time I suggest heading to the Longos about 3 blocks West.

A begrudging 2 stars because of the prime location & reasonably late hours.

Bakery has gone downhill. You previously were able to get baked goods that were still warm from the oven. Now the baked goods are literally cold at 7am. They feel as if they've been pulled out of a fridge. On top of that, they put cakes out that are still frozen/covered in frost to thaw overnight. They seem to be trying to pass off frozen goods as freshly made in house.

Went here today and purchased Pork chops, rice, broccoli and gluten free blueberry muffins.
The blueberry muffins had mold growing on them (the had expired the day prior, my bad for not checking I guess) and the pork chops had brown spots that were only visible once the wrapper was removed. I'd avoid this spot if you can!

My 2-star rating is a message to Management, otherwise, let it be known, I'll continue to shop here as my main grocery store - because it's convenient, the prices are great, and the product selection meets about 75% of my needs. But they are usually under-staffed and the poor tellers are run ragged. The check-out ergonomics are abysmal. And they don't have their act together on beer sales - mainly the check-out situation. The majority of their product selection and pricing is pretty good for a mini store. But their fresh produce selection is absolutely horrendous - bad quality, usually wilted if not rotten and over-priced (best to head down the street to the little asian run produce store or for the best herbs at a bit more price - hit Harvest Wagon). It would take simply a week if not less to re-do their produce department, and get their act together there.

Could do more with marking down end of day and expiringbproducts and putting them on display where customers van see them.nice staff

I visited these Loblaws last week; I wasn't impressed with a service at this Loblaws. I was using the check out machine when I noticed that there were some technical difficulties, I asked for help, and the person who was supposed to help me was very annoyed. I am going to avoid this Loblaws
