Beautiful sights to see at this Loblaws. Moldy food out in the open, no washrooms, staff seem miserable. 3 stars for the free parking downtown to do groceries

I went in for the first time in a while, it took me a minute to find the carts. They added some "Asset Protection" measures, such as gates to enter the store, and increase security presence (If they sold the food at affordable prices people wouldn't need to steal).

I was confused by the gates (which is partially my fault) but not one of the THREE "security" guards at the door thought to help me out, when I was clearly struggling. They were too busy watching TikTok or something (very secure).

You walk in, they make you feel like you're a criminal, and they charge you ridiculous prices. I only go here because it's close, but I would rather pay for a taxi to another store than shop here again.

Edit: Forgot to mention, the rest of the staff is good and they work hard for very little, a measly 10% discount.

Quick service but sometimes confused about pre-ordered things and every they are especially in Flashfood

It is a good store in not the best district of Ottawa.
There is a good selection of vegitables and cheese.

Was my exclusive grocery store for a while due to proximity. Cashiers are super friendly. Produce is fresh and always lasts in the fridge

It was very nice. The store was actually a very well organized and clean atmosphere. I enjoyed my shopping experience!

Prices are right just have shop around my little granny was like that we'd spend hour upon hours shopping going back and forth?

A grocery store in the downtown, 2 blocks from home. The convenience is great. Clean and never overcrowded.

Ok grocery store, its big but I sometimes find the selection not the greatest. I have had problem with their bagged milk recently with one bag being punctured and other bags not lasting until their due date, so they are not being stored properly or something. They also reduced their discounts for students which is unfortunate. There frankly isn't a lot of other stores in walking distance so I go here often (I go to farm boy too, as I find their produce is generally better and similarly priced, if not less expensive).

Its ok service, getting the female servers of the hot bar to wash their hands is impossible, the men that work there are amazing always go above and beyond for the customers, it takes 5 seconds to wash your hands, changing your gloves does not stop the spread of germs and viruses you goof wash your hands before serving the next customer, manager is not doing anything about the hygiene there

Seems like a place that haters heavily to the students, and they do a great job at it with everything from groceries to toaster ovens! Close to University of Ottawa.

Loblaws on Rideau Street, Ottawa, ON - Don’t ever buy milk there. Their milk products are always sour even way before expiration date, their fridge is never cold enough. Just bought milk and chocolate milk, sour as flip again.

Very rude staff and not nice at all, I hope people will realize that this company doesn't care about customer service.

Pretty good grocery store for a downtown location they are usually pretty busy but keep things moving and staff are friendly and helpful. The only small issue I've found is the produce isn't always fresh Mainly the organic and less popular items. Most of it is good though.

I go there almost every evening, the staff is very rude and agressive; especially this evening including the security guards I don't get it why they are so rude, other place I can do my grocery now they're getting worse than Macarthur Avenue.

I guess it can be expected of a downtown location but I have never seen so many maskless people shopping. There are no arrows on the ground to indicate which aisles go which way in the produce department. The security staff themselves are always lounging talking to each other and I've seen one taller guy in particular with his nose out of his mask. Step your games up, guys.

Loblaws is a great grocery store. The prices are reasonable, except the premade salads and fruit assortments. Store is always clean. Sanitizer is available at the entry of the store.

I've seen people without masks, and a staff member who seemed to be a supervisor, not wearing it over her nose
The staff are so-so knowledgeable, and the store is clean
The security guards are usually chatting with each other or often completely MIA, so doesn't seem like they are ok at their jobs.

Place is nice and has an excellent ready food post. Prices are reasonable for the location and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

A good place to buy groceries:) I need more green vegetables. Example Bok Choy. Mary Huai Ottawa (SafeGrowth Ambassador-volunteer) Lowertown.

Useful as it s always open.but not the cleanest around. May be the dirtiest in town. I wish they clean it more often. Really doesnt copare to other loblaws in otawa

There trying too milk every cent/penny that they can post Covid Era, prices arent inconsistent, no deals, nothing cheap

The store and staff are great here. I just cannot get behind a company that refuses to pay its workers fairly, especially during a pandemic, so that why I chose three stars.

Smaller Loblaws with free underground parking and a cart escalator to bring your groceries to the parking lot. While the store lacks a large variety of selection, they often have many deals and discounts to cater to the student population next door. There are not many check-out lanes so when the store is busy checking out is sometimes slow.

The employees and management are very unprofessional and rude. Very little knowledge in the departments where they're supposed to know something about the products being sold. Just a bad experience every time I go in. I know this will change nothing but hopefully someone skips asking a question and saves themselves time.

Big box store feel.they have sushi bar, Starbucks, hot food chicken, fries, macaroni, scalloped potatoes, pressure cooked chicken, tenders, wedges, pizza slabs, panini sandwiches.they sell alcohol, beer and wine.all around good experience
