Local 1794

Decided to pop into this restaurant to grab late lunch/early dinner. The food was basic, and could’ve been way better. I ordered a steak frites (med rare) and I got a well done steak. They were okay to take it back and give me a new meal which was nice. A major downfall with this place was the service. The servers weren’t attentive at all which is unfortunate. I’ve been sitting here for the past 20 mins to order another drink and to get a takeout box for my leftovers. Seems like they’ve been checking in on everyone else around me but ignoring that I’m here, which is odd. I finally got another server who was very very friendly and made sure that I got everything I needed, so shout out to her!

Food quality is great, although the portions are small. The Brussels sprouts were a highlight.

Delicious local pub serving above average food. If you come here just for the Brussels sprouts, you won’t regret it. Pizza and salad was delicious. Our friend ordered the smoked chicken and loved it! Will come back again!

The waiter was really helpful and friendly. He updated us on our meals which was served pretty fast! The mixed drinks were AMAZING I had a very good time 10/10

Had an anniversary meal here and it was lovely. Really tasty menu and a good selection of beers on tap and a healthy wine selection. The waitress Alex provided great service and helped make our evening thoroughly enjoyable

Just had dinner here. Everything was great aside from the service whic was slow. Cold drinks, great atmosphere and food.

We went here this past Sunday. We had a spinach beet and kale salad to start and it was enormous and delicious. Then my husband had a spinach ricotta ravioli and he loved it. I had the hawaii pizza I subbed out bacon for pepperoni. It was also delicious.

Went there for dinner for my friend’s bday. We did order the burger. It was very good. The waitress and the waiter were very friendly. They have a nice collection of beers. The feel of the place is very nice - cozy and warm. It has a long bar nice wooden feel. I have moved to the neighbourhood about a year ago and it was the first time I go there. Definitely will return soon.

Great east end restaurant with a spacish bar and welcoming interior with a diverse menu sourcing many ingredients locally. The mussels were particularly impressive with a very flavourful sauce and fresh bread. Overall everything was great and the menu is certain to offer something for all palates and diets.
