Update: We get together every month to chat. Food and service are still as good as before. There is a reason I keep coming back with my friends.good, good service, fair prices. Can't go wrong.

Best sports bar in the city of Ottawa. Can't put it much better than that. There to watch a major sporting event on big screen.

Always great atmosphere, and the food is always amazing! Daily drink and food specials are great!

Decent selection of food and drinks at affordable prices. Fast and efficient service. Can't really complain.

Shrinkflation prices were increase 2-3$ which is understandable but they also decreased the portions while increasing price without a notice or any type of information on new portion sizes or changes. I go atleast once a week after the gym and it just upsets me how they try to hide it and act like nothing.

Endroit convivial et agréable. Tout est très bon, les portions sont raisonnable et bien assorties au prix. Le dessert crème glacée frite est vraiment délicieux et la portion est géante. La serveuse était souriante malgré que notre anglais était de base. À y retourner si nous allons en Ontario!

Spectacular wings, great pizza, excellent breakfasts. I get the roaster wings dry, with sauce and sour cream on the side for 'manual dipping'. Crispy on the outside, tender chicken on the inside. Cheap beers, and daily food and drink specials. Perfect. And always great service.

Must go to reasturant with proud owners. Perfect sports bar without the gouge filling portions!

It was my birthday and I thought it would be nice to try Local Heroes wings. I heard they were really good. They arrived on time according to the estimated time but they were impossible to eat they were dry and hard and stuck in your throat we had to throw them out. It was a waste of a birthday dinner and it was a total waste of money. I will never order or eat their food again

Best wings in town! It's a classic spot to spend time, have a meal and chat to folks.

The only downside side is the wings get soggy if you get them to go. Eat them on site!

Would like to thank all the staff and the owner for his 5 star Uber ride home as my American Thanksgiving celebration experience was beyond expectations. Service Value Score!

Went for ufc, loved the service minus the fact that it was extremely packed. Definitely over capacity lol.

Had an uber order. Very much behind the estimated time (15+ mintues), ignored our requests or mixed them up. My wife liked the poutine. I've had better service by them at other times in the pre-pandemic period and the food was okay but it didn't live up to what I had hoped.

I would say this place is an awesome family sports pub combination thing. The starters were awesome and all the burgers at the table were awesome. The sandwich was less then awesome, but totally solid. Went on a Sunday night so football night so it was loud. Overall pretty awesome

I absolutely love going here for breakfast, it's the best sports bar around. The staff is amazing and a special thank you to Candice for being the most amazing waitress.

Service & food was amazing! Our sever Liv recommended spicey wings that made steam come out of both my ears. Luckily I was able to cool off with one of their many ice cold beers on tap

Love this place. As the last one standing they are by far the superior! Best wings in town. And I love the beef ribs. I haven't been in quite a while so I'm due for a visit. I usually frequent during NFL season. I love the fact that they have so many TVs and projectors. If you want that old school sports bar feeling this is the spot to go in Ottawa. Service is usually top notch. They do get quite busy so just be patient.

Been to this location a few times and have to say the staff is outstanding! Specials every night making it a true local pub! In particular, I’ve had great service from Grace. She goes above and beyond to learn your name and actually remembers. Dean, great hiring!

Grace is an Absolutely phenomenal waitress, very friendly and fast to replace beers. We will definitely be back and recommend friends.

Very cozy, old school sports bar. Lots of screens if that's your thing.

All the food was home made and delicious. Great value. For what it does, it does it very well. They also have a fun kids menu with lots of options.

Came here to grab a quick bite to eat. My partner said the wings were famous and he hadn't visited since the 90s. The wings were very tasty, we got Hot and 40 Creek BBQ. My only wish is they served the wings with blue cheese or ranch instead of sour cream. My partner also says he wishes he got hotter wings. The fries were very tasty too. Would definitely come back to try the nachos. It was as loud as a sports bar can get but eventually died down. We were able to find a cozy spot away from the noise.

Busier than usual for a Tuesday night, service was a bit slow, but food was delicious and pretty fast considering the amount of people. The cost and menu items are on par/usual with most bars and pubs in the area. I had wings, sweet potato fries, a milkshake and a cinnamon twist dessert.

Jen was a great server. First time being out in 2 years and had a great experience with her. Will definitely be back.

There was no option for no stars.the fair haired waitress had an attitude after I asked for a menu.she told me to scan it on my cell.my eye sight isn't the best trying to read ona small cell.
So I asked to have breakfast and after arriving found a long fair haired hair on my food! And after my friend with me showed it to her she took the food away brought back a new plate of food.and was still billed for the breakfast!

Food here is okay, but the staff and general bar vibes especially on Fridays are great. Cheep drinks on Fridays too.

This is one of the best breakfasts in the Nepean end of the city. Hot, big, quick, yummy.and decent price too. Outdoor patio once the weather gets there.

Excellent breakfast the sausages are great and the price is fair.

The Buffalo Chicken Nachos is one of my favorite items on their menu. It was so cheesy, and flavourful. It has bits if crispy chicken in buffalo sauce, and then your usual nacho toppings such as diced tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and shredded cheese. This was fun to share with friends!

Ordered from here tonight through Uber eats. Everything looked great when it arrived however not the case. When opening the burger it was dry, burnt and the bun was so hard it could barely be bit into, very unfortunate since they are quite pricy.

My wife and I really enjoyed Local Heroes. First visit and we will be back. Very friendly and fun environment with a great menu. Cheers!

Waitress (Michaela) claims to have brought the 24$ wings I ordered but didn't. Spoke to manager and he sided with her immediately, I asked to check cameras and he said no. Never going back and really wouldn't recommend. You OWE ME 24$ LOCALS

Not my first choice to dine as a vegan, but I came here with friends. I ordered the Beyond burger after confirming with the server that the bun did not contain egg or milk, yet my fries came with a side of mayo. Mayo is made with egg. What a waste and an insult to the chickens that had to suffer for it. I was also automatically offered salad as a side instead of the fries, because obviously that’s the only thing vegans eat, right? Servers should be trained to know how to accommodate common dietary modifications. Fries were bland and lacked seasoning too.

We tried thier Superman hamburgers. It was so great, enough for two people. Thier frise are excellent. They have especial promotions every nights. For example, they have 25% off on thier hamburgers on Friday nights. Great location, excellent customer service. I liked the inside decorations

Local Heroes is one of the best sports (bar) restaurants in town. If you haven't tried the wings they are just awesome (delicious). But you've gotta have a nice cool beverage with them. Oh yeah, can't forget the nachos hmmm delicious. They have TVs that you can catch your favorite basketball, football games. Friendly Staff ready to take your order, great prices. Went last night to get the beef au jus and it was the driest meat slapped on a soggy piece of garlic bread (that they make for pasta or something). Been here for the first time, grabbing spin dip to go just when covid started, was gross so was skeptical to go this time, now will definitely not be going ever again

Good place to hang out with your friends and watch sports. We ordered pizza and drinks. The service was good, not too pokey nor too distant. Food and drinks were good too. Nice place.

The outdoor patio is very nice, friendly staff, great specials, but unfortunately the fries and sweet potato fries were sub par.

The worst service I’ve ever had. Ordered hot wings and ranch and brought me wings that were cold and sour cream. Then the server ignored me for the rest of the night. I also ordered chicken fajitas and they brought me everything except the meat. Treated our table like absolute garbage. Do not recommend the hole in the wall to anyone! They are childless immature losers.

Been going here for 10+ years. Always great service, great food and amazing drinks. You can't beat their prices and their daily deals are definitely worth checking out. 5 stars for the staff (owner and son included), food and drinks. Highly recommend checking this place out. Never disappointed.

Ordered the roast beef sandwich with poutin and a small cheeseburger pizza for delivery. The pizza was good, but the sandwich was chewy, grisly, and stale, and the poutin fries were so undercooked they were practically raw. Super disappointing for a first try, seriously doubt I'll try them again.

Some not so friendly staff, everything on the menu is either deep fried or breaded. Having an allergy to gluten I wasn't able to order anything on the menu and the waitress was rather sharp after we explained we would only be ordering drinks.
Nice venu, lots of screens to what whichever sport you like! But their staff could be a bit more pleasant. ‍️

Very, very friendly, very clean.
Many restaurants are not clean at the moment, particularly fast food. The cleanliness stood out.

Try their tia chilli cauliflower. Very good. Beef dip.the meat was dry. Nachos very bad and cold. I sat with a group of people and those were some of the comments. Two of the people I was with said they would not go back. Personally I enjoyed myself. Service was great.

If i could give zero starts I would! The attitude of the manager and Staff is astonishing.

I asked dessert even paid my bill and waited 50MIN for it.

When i asked for my refund miraculously the dessert was made and they were fighting they will not refund me because it was made when I told them i have been waiting for 50 MIN and i didn't want it anymore. The manager (blonde hair, white short lady) came and took the boxes rudely and handed me 16 dollars.

When I went back to my car I saw they didnt gave me back the tax so I came back and she THREW ME the 2 DOLLARS. I TOLD HER SHE WAS BEING RUDE AND TO GIVE ME HER NAME, SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS THE MANAGER SO I SHOULDN'T WORRY.

I have been a loyal customer for 3 years but this attitude and bad customer has made them lost my business to them and i will recommend to people to be away from them.

The service was the worst I have ever had, we were ignored (I told the waitress we were ready to order and she said Okay and walked away) when we finally got our food it was cold and over cooked. We ate because we just wanted to leave. It took 20 minutes to get out bill after we asked two different people and after seeing our waitress come outside twice.
We understand being busy but seriously.
WE WONT BE GOING BACK.

The waitress was very nice and her service was great but the food was really mediocre. I used to be a long time regular customer a few years ago it wasnt a pleasent surprise to come back to. Most likely wont be back unfortunately which sucks because this place used to be great

This is the best bar & grill in Ottawa! Been coming here since the mid 90s and I’ve always loved it. The food is great, there’s TVs all over the place, there nice patios (expanded and even better during the pandemic), the prices are fantastic, staff are nice and friendly. I’ll never stop going to Local Heroes!

A great take-out experience from Local Heroes in the Bleaker Mall. We had our annual North American conference this week. Of course it was "virtual" this year. So for the Awards Ceremony, everyone connected by Zoom and ordered in dinner.
We ordered a selection of appetizers and wraps for pickup. And we grabbed a growler of beer while we were there. The staff was great at the pickup and even gave us some free swag they had in stock.
Even though we couldn't all meet in person, Local Heroes made it a great evening, enjoyed by my team.

Best wings and ribs. Lots of weekly deals and great sports atmosphere. One of my favorite places to catch a sens game!

5 STAR FABULOUS FAJITAS! Looking for fajitas in Ottawa that taste great and don't show up the size of a side plate. LOOK NO FURTHER than LOCAL HEROES! We ordered via uber eats and let me tell ya, we were very happy! Food was excellent quality, hot, and so plentiful. Fresh chips and salsa were also included which was a pleasant surprise! I can't tell you how impressed I was with not only the excellent food, but low cost of the entire delivery order! No Wonder It Remains An Ottawa Staple Restaurant! ;^)

My friends and I always choose Local Heroes when we're looking to order dinner, and we're always so amazed by the quality. Especially as students, the low price is great and the portions are generous so there's lots left over. The shakes are a favourite of mine, and the bruschetta is delicious. If you're hungry, Local Heroes never disappoints and the selection is so wide that there's always something perfect to order. Would highly recommend to anyone.
