LOCAL Public Eatery Leaside

I’ve been coming to Local Leaside since they opened. Love this location because it’s personal and intimate compared to the downtown location. The food is incredible and the servers are the friendliest.

Ordered the fish & chips.disappointed.fish very mushy & tasteless. Shoestring fries ho hum.maybe I should have got the wings?

Don't order the Local special Ceasars. Way too salty. Server quickly replaced with standard Ceasar. Even their standard Ceasars weren't great. I think it must have been their Ceasar mix or Clamato.

Usually a go to for brunch, great cesars! Last time I ordered though I wasn't able to order brunch over the phone or online as the brunch menu wasn't an option on the site for takeaway. The hostess was friendly and understanding. I went into the restaurant to order and spent $50 and sadly it was burnt. Super disappointing because I was raving about it. I took photos as the meat was completely burnt
bitter and charred. Hoping to go back but maybe to dine in to avoid not being able to take it back.

Pricey but great service and atmosphere. Definitely recommend for night out and special occasions

Food is better than your average pub fare (chicken peanut Thai salad was a stand out). Friendly service and nice atmosphere for families with small children. Will return

I have been here a few times and food and service has always been good but the last time I was there really set this team apart. My car was parked in the parking lot behind local and the staff noticed that someone had hit my car. They preceded to go through the restaurant to ensure the found the owner. Once they got to me they took me to my car, explained what happened and even had photos and videos to prove what happened. They subsequently took me to the guest who had hit my car so that we can exchange details for insurance purposes. Can not say enough about their professionalism and their dedication to do the right thing. Thank you to everyone, you have a customer for life.

Ramen needed way more broth and the rice bowl came with a broken egg yolk, making the dish even more dry and boring than it already was.
Staff was very nice but not the most experienced. Not bad, not great

Great place with an awesome upstairs patio!

We had a group of 20+ and there was ample room. We only took up one area so could it probably fit 50 or more just in the patio area alone.

Staff was very attentive and they let us split the bill which was convenient.

Food was good and they had some kid options.
I had a burger and salad.
No pictures… boo-me

Would definitely consider it for another big group gathering.

Location is far for us though could be a good central location for some.

Great quality food and service. Just find some seating spots at the patio need some lights at night time as it's too dark for reading the menu and seeing the food.

The food was ok. The service was slow. All the waiter were talking to one another. Paid 240 for 3 people to eat, which is ridiculous for bar food.
I didn't consider this a dinner spot at all.
