If I sum my experience in three words: simple, affordable, and delicious. I would definitely return again.

I got avocado rolls from Lola's and they were amazing. The people are good and the place has an essence of authenticity. Loved it!

Small clean traditional restaurant run by owners who know how to create very tasty sushi rolls, with portions that will have you leaving full (too full if anything). The menu also shows other traditional Korean and Japanese dishes, which I hope to try next time.

I've been coming to Lola for lunch almost every other week. I can't recommend this place enough, and I seriously think they deserve more recognition for what they do. It's just a little mom and pop joint as far as I can tell, but you'd never know; service is always quick and efficient, and I always feel welcomed. The food is quite tasty and fresh no matter what we order, and I love their presentation. My only real complaint is the use of styrofoam and disposable plastics for delivery orders, but that's hardly going to affect my love for this place.

Don't judge this book by its cover. The dining room is nothing special but the food and service make you feel at home. Its family-run so you'll recognize the same few staff members every time. The woman who serves the tables deserves an 11/10 for her polite service. She has tried to advise us to stop ordering when we order excessively but we still do because we're happy to take home the leftovers. The staff in the kitchen work fast without compromising quality and they always thank you for coming on your way out even though they are tucked away behind a curtain.
Its an added bonus that they offer both Japanese and Korean cuisine so you can scratch your itch for maki rolls and still have a hot plate as an entrée in one sitting.

The quality of the sushi is not the highest but the prices are decent, so you get what you pay for. The portion sizes were fair. The best dish we had there was the spicy udon.

Lola Sushi is a great small, family run restaurant. I had the Tempura Bento Box and the food was yummy. The mushroom slices instead of tofu in the miso soup was a nice touch. The service was lovely. My guess is the other customers were regulars and I plan to be one too.

Edit: I decided to try here and was skeptical of how the place looks (dejavu…I think I did years ago, but was afraid). I ordered maki rolls: spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and crab and fancy topped with fried tempura bits and salmon cubes, and shredded crab (imitation of course) on top. Decent portion. Their miso soup is also better than most places that skimp miso soup and salad, but here they add sliced white mushrooms. It was so good I returned 2 days later. I can’t wait to try other dishes, but I tend to be boring if I like something at a certain place I generally always order the same thing. The woman/hostess was friendly and the cooks (make and female) you cannot see in the curtain kitchen are also friendly and shout thanks or bye when I left on both occasions.

I had it again and tonight the tempura topping has quite a few extremely hard bits so hard you cannot bite through it because it feels like a rock. Odd. Most of the rice rolls fell apart too. Not impressed today. Hope it’s a one off.

Update (March 12) - went back and actually took photos. Again, very good!

Very delicious and amazing portions for the price. I got the Lola Bento, and I admittedly ate it without taking a photo because it was so good. There can be a bit of a wait, but it is a kind couple running the shop so that is to be expected. They were both very friendly and courteous. I will definitely be coming back:)

Ordered their calamari, spicy maki set and their white dragon roll.

Overall, very generous portions and pretty decent flavours. The calamari was mainly breading so I would not recommend that. Did get an upset stomach throughout the meal. Thinking it could be the grease from the calamari or that the sushi was not stored cold enough and sat out for a bit of time.

Either way, would come back again but would stick with the speciality rolls instead.

Lola Sushi has a small storefront on Yonge Street and it has been my favourite place to get lunch for work. The food is always fresh and inexpensive for the area.

I wanted to try a good sushi place for a while & tonight we went there. They were so helpful for us since we didn’t know that much about sushi. Really caring & giving good advices.
Highly recommended. Definitely will go there again.

Amazing sushi! I love how they don’t bloat their rolls with extra rice. The fast and quality is amazing. We go often for takeout. We get their salmon, tuna and sushi rolls. Their Lola salmon appetizer is great too. Sometimes we get their spicy bulgogi

I was looking for a good sushi place in the area and decided to give Lola a try and it was simply excellent! My "near" gold standard is Vancouver's Miku and Minami with their even most basic option (salmon maki) being incredibly delicious and not a lot of places in a variety of price ranges come close. Salmon sushi and salmon maki at Lola Sushi were near perfection: suhi rice seasoning was very balanced, the rice was cooked perfectly, nori was fresh and full of flavour and the fish tasted amazing. The service was very friendly and efficient too!

I went for lunch. The sushi was fresh and made to order. Prices are reasonable. And the service friendly and prompt. I'll be back.

Very simple mom & pop sushi restaurant.they were definitely short staffed but the lady was doing a fantastic job of managing all the tables & being honest with new customers that came in that it would be slow. Once we ordered, everything came out relatively quickly.
The water was infused with lemons! That was a nice surprise
Miso soup was delicious - we ordered a sushi set which included it and ordered another.
Veg tempura was good and great price - onion, sweet potato, zucchini, and broccoli
The sushi set came with California and salmon rolls. I didn’t realize the seaweed would be on the outside for the salmon but it wasn’t too bad! The sushi was really good.
The one thing we felt was a bit expensive was the edamame at $3.95 for the small plate.
We would definitely come back!

Talk about a hidden gem! Living around the Yonge-Eglinton area, I didn't realize we had such a delicious sushi restaurant in our neighborhood. I walked past it multiple times, not expecting such an authentic high quality restaurant from its exterior, but I was blown away today by their fresh sushi and delicious rolls. The price was also really inexpensive.

I highly recommend anyone in midtown area to try out this restaurant!

The fish was so fresh and sushi was so big! Every ingredient they use for food was super fresh. Black dragon roll is the best black dragon in the town. Tempura was very crunchy and warm. That bento was $14.99 ($13.99 for lunch!) I wish they do uber delivery.

I think I can say this restaurant is one of the best for the quality and price in Eglinton area.

After trying this spot for the first time tonight, I felt compelled to leave a review. Tasty food, reasonable prices, and generous portions make this place unbeatable sushi spot in Midtown. It’s a small and no-frills kind of place that isn’t trying to be something else it’s not. Their style definitely reflect on to the food, each dish was made with care and attention to the detail.

The tempura bento box was very tasty. The batter on the shrimp and vegetables was light, crispy & not greasy and it came with 6 veggie rolls, glass noodles, miso soup, rice and salad at an affordable price. My friend loved her rolls.

Very well kept and convenient restaurant. They serve big portions and for reasonable rates. I liked the meals very much and the staff members were very attentive and chatty. Recommended.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants in town! I love the freshness, the quality and the taste of their food. Their menu is dynamic and they have something for everyone. Also, don't forget to try their green tea ice cream

Food used to be high quality and with reasonable price.ordered black dragon roll today, got 8 pcs while on menu it says 10pcs. And there were only 3 pcs unagi on 8pc roll.asked them and they responded it's normal.taste is good though

Lovely little place close to home. Good food, decent prices for decent portions. We ordered two bento boxes for dinner and everything was made hot and fresh. Service is quite good. It wasn't super busy although we went on a weeknight. Place feels a bit "old" even though it isn't. As in older home smell and feel. Otherwise it would be a five.

Excellent food. My brother had sushi and said it was very good. I had Korean spicy chicken and it was excellent. Fast and friendly service.

A nice little sushi spot owned by a Korean family. I have never been disappointed with rolls, I’ve heard that the bento boxes are also very good.

Price point was amazing, food was okay, the Korean food surprisingly wasn't that good but I've heard the bibimbap is pretty decent. Service was very good and the atmosphere was kitchy, cute, and welcoming. Would highly recommend for a sushi meal at a good price. Let me know if the bibimbap is better than the bulgoki

Very cute little store. Got the salmon Bento box for lunch. Salmon was grilled perfectly and rice was amazing. The rolls were a good mix and even includes tempura veggies in 2 of them. Miso soup was nice and the salad was refreshing.

Cosy local Korean-run sushi spot. Has a variety of familiar Japanese and Korean dishes. Good quality of fish. With a solid local following, expect service to be slow during peak hours. Interior is a little bit cramped, but comfortable. One of the better sushi options in the neighborhood.

Great spot, especially for takeout. Love my chirashi don. Sushi pizza and spicy salmon maki have generous portions of salmon.
Owners are welcoming and genuine, you feel good supporting a local spot that works hard to provide delicious meals.

It takes 1 and half hours to get the restaurant from my place, but it's worth it! The SUNSET CRAB ROLL is amazing, and price is also reasonable. **p.s I used to think roll was boring.

Cute little place at Yonge and Eglinton. It's a mom and pop shop. Lots of people order take out from them. The sushi quality is great and pricing is fair. We always order their spider and black dragon roll. Have been coming here for over 6 years.

Great sushi place in midtown. Good prices and tasty - my go to is the spicy salmon with avocado added. The inside is a little dingy but for takeout it's perfect. Friendly staff as well.
