Spouse fell and broke his wrist today, Saturday afternoon. Arrived about noon to emergency department. Went through reception, registration, triage and into the ward, then X-ray, was seen by a doctor (Thom (p) son), back to the ward, then a trip to? , was seen by 2 doctors to have wrist straightened, then a cast was put on, then Xray again. From the moment we arrived we were treated like gold by everyone. We were home in about 3.5 hours. Perfect hospital experience! Thank you very, very much.

I had a procedure here in August 2023 and was so impressed with all the staff I met. The doctors, nurses, volunteers and everyone else could not have been kinder or more attentive. They made a challenging situation much more bearable. Thank you LHSC!

HORRIBLE! This hospital is disgusting. SOME of the nurses neglect patients, leave them in briefs for hours and even close the doors on them. Using the call button and waiting 2 hours to be changed or needing help, then to blame it on short staff when everyone is at the desk talking about vacations. The residents don’t communicate properly, everyone seems to be clueless. I truly hate this place, it needs help.

This place hosted a drag queen show for the children in the hospital. Shameful and deplorable.

I had to go in for a Colonoscopy and Leanne (sp?) an RNA took care of me. She was awesome, ready with all kinds of info, by my side through the entire procedure, funny, very professional and just all around a fantastic person. I did have another girl, her name ecapes me.she had longest 'dark hair, black hair, she was amazing! For all these girls and guys have been through the past couple years, they still look after you like YOU are the only one who needs to be looked after.

Called to get patched on through to the gynecology department for my wife who was experiencing pain. Was told to leave voice mail and that someone would get back within 7 days. SEVEN DAYS!? Maybe assign someone in the team to go through voice mails and make return calls within 24 hours. Or better yet, how about having someone answer phone calls. Complete failure of the system. I understand these workers are taxed but seems Rob Ford is failing the system or is not doing enough.

Disgusted with the lack of care, professionalism, and knowledge of the gynaecologist oncologist department here. My mom had cancer, but they ignored her symptoms, ignored her worsening condition, she didn’t have a chance at fighting it. Doctors from other hospitals were surprised that we didn’t understand the situation and they provided more help. After my mom passed, the gynaecologist oncologist department is calling asking why my mom has missed her appointment. She died and the doctor knew! Then months later they’re asking me to donate money. Disgusting to see that there is no accountability for doctors or medical staff who neglect their patients.

My husband was admitted to emerg on Boxing Day with influenza A and puemonia. The staff were outstanding! They were in great spirits, kind and attentive. We just can't thank you enough for the excellent care! True heroes

I went in for breathing problems, Dr. Wiley? There was laughing at me, the under was examining me and told me I had heart palpitations I never knew of, I had been on too high of a dose of meds without any kind of testing for over a year, this is a possible side effect.

They told me to call back to make another appointment after laughing at me if it continues, I did, he was on vacation for a few weeks and "would call me when he's back".

Never happened.

I was also denied ODSP, Dr. Subramanian refused to fill the forms until 6 months because I was an OW recipient. Which also was denying me any health care.

The program paid $20,000 for another patients front teeth, one of my teeth broke in half and obv I couldn't get it fixed, I told her I'm buying a 10kg bag of rice and frozen veggies and ate only once per day, I had no food & was formed for 3 months, she told me they spent their entire budget (February) & would not offer any food or other resources (no transportation), but would pay for the experimental medication (injections, over $100).

I think I went over a year being unable to chew, and over 8months with no ODSP, and lost weight rapidly, I lost 40lbs in 2 months time, my dose was never checked nor was any blood work done.

It had already been established I was permanently disabled, I have my student loans under that which was signed by them.

They refused the ODSP paperwork, then scoffed when I asked for the Disability tax credit forms and said I wouldn't get it.

She looked at me like I was scum, all staff did, she hated me. I was made to feel ashamed asking for food, tampons/pads (I used toilet paper or fabric in hospital), laundry, anything, everything, they looked at me like they were disgusted I existed.

The combination of all of this very nearly cost me my life, either through deprivation, maltreatment or side effects.

What they do to people here is destroy their lives, their dignity, and their humanity.

I will never stop telling my story.

*Any complaints made I was told I was "non compliant", or it was "protocol", basically I was dismissed.

I was mad about the new security measures in the mental health areas, but no, they're right, with the way they abuse ppl they do need that.

And they should barre me from entering at this point.

That's vendetta, not mental health Priya, I know you can't tell the difference.

*She would also book me appointments, I would show up about 10-20 minutes early, and multiple times I would be waiting over an hour, so whoever she was seeing was regularly taking close to 2 hours at least, sometimes she went on lunch, when I had a prebooked appointment.

And the waiting room would be empty for most of that time, I never saw who the patient was.

Then she would rush mine into 10-15 min, and her rude secretary was constantly knocking on the door every 2-3 minutes.

Not that I was comfortable with Dr. Subramanian, which is why I asked for a new Dr.several times with her responding that that was not an option, or just "no".

Sometimes they booked me in advance without telling me, or called the evening before without ever asking if that was an ok time.

*I've done a lot of thinking about my experiences at this hospital, and I think it needs more Black and Indigenous Dr's, I hate that that's a factor, but I feel like it was a major one.

I don't like hiring based off ethnicity policies but.well if you've been, you know.
