I'm not sure about the experience. The tax preparer filed that I was a Canadian citizen. I am a landed immigrant, permanent resident and I am divorced not single because of this I did not get the gis

Second time I’ve had issues filing my taxes with this place… last year the man forgot to file my taxes, so I had to call back to find out they were not filed (luckily it wasn’t late yet, but still - come on? I’m paying you $100+ to file my taxes, figure it out).

This year I was not told that they don’t actually file your taxes until you come pick them up, so this meant I was charged a $70 late filing fee. Had I of known this ahead of time, I would have picked them up much sooner. Didn’t realize it was going to cost me money, as no one informed me of that. Again, I paid them $100+ to do my taxes and was not given all of the necessary information. To say I am frustrated is an understatement. Will not be returning to London Tax Depot. I’ll use Turbo Tax and do it myself from now on.

I have been getting my taxes done here for a number of years. 2021 Taxes were filed, received my remittance from CRA, paid what I owed, all was good!
Then, I received a letter from CRA explaining that I owed $1000.00 from 2020, that I had been audited.
CRA was missing a slip that they said I did not include in my filing for 2020.
Searched back through my papers from 2020, and there it was… attached.
Meaning The Tax Depot DID NOT include it!
Called them, explained the issue to someone there. They said because of COVID, everyone was being audited to recoup all the $$$$$ the government handed out) ?
Was told they’d get back to me, which they did call back and left a message to call them back! I called and got a girl who I explained the entire story to for the second time! She said she didn’t know anything about filing taxes, so I’d have to talk to someone else. That person was very busy and she would call me back.
They called me back, she wasn’t very pleasant, but neither was I!
This is THE TAX DEPOT’S mistake not mine. I asked them to call CRA and clear me of any wrong doing, that they were responsible for NOT including all my slips, and I wanted my $120.00 I paid to get filed by them, re-imbursed, as I entrusted they knew what they were doing!
They told me that the girl that filed them was no longer there because she made too many errors and they offered to pay my interest CRA charged me and that was all!
I asked that they speak to a manager/owner and I wanted my $120 filing fee back PLUS pay for my interest.
She rudely said it was human error and they couldn’t do that, but she would speak to ‘someone higher than her’ and have them call me back!
It’s been about a week and I have heard nothing.
The Tax Depot would not be a recommendation.

Used to come here every year until my husband went there last year. First it took months to get it done and we had to keep calling or going there to see why it was taking so long. Karen was the one who did his taxes and she was very unprofessional and rude. Second she called my husband for my personal information (including sin #) and when I called back and left a message explaining how I didn't appreciate her calling someone else for my personal information (she had my phone #) she didn't even have the courtesy to call back. I advise everyone to stay away from this place.

The first woman I spoke to on the phone was impatient and condescending. I persevered, dropped off my taxes and heard nothing for 2 days. Called on 3 rd day and the receptionist couldn’t find them. She located them in the file cabinet and told me no one had “noticed” them yet. I went and got them and took them somewhere else. Before I left they told me the accountant had taken the week off and wasn’t there anyway. Oh brother!

Robs very helpful with great response times on emails and calls. Very knowledgeable and interesting guy. Always happy to help with any problem no matter the time or complexity.office has a lot of personality and the decor is fantastic. Front reception is also the friendliest!

I have used their services for 10+ Years. Karen (Highbury location) has always done my taxes. She is honest, helpful, friendly, replies to email and phone messages immediately, and my taxes are completed within a day or two of dropping them off.

I have had this office make my tax for 20yrs now. I gave my tax papers to be done as per covid protocols set by this company. I recieved few calls to up date phone numbers and address that should have already been in the file. Any how I was told they will call when tax was done. I waited 3wks finally I called and was told by staff they did not have phone number to contact me. Seriously! Enough after all these yrs I am done.

I will never have my taxes prepared by London Tax Depot again. Nancy was extremely rude in a Passive Aggressive manor. I had questions prepared in advance -which were quite simple & logical- and when these questions were posed to her she looked and spoke to me as though I was stupid and knew nothing. I was in essence treated like some sort of imbecile. She would also exchange barbs and made unnecessary comments with a female coworker in the next cubicle during my appointment. Also in an email enquiry to her she responded with the word "huh? " to a very basic question. Absolute unprofessional conduct. Most definitely has a terrible bedside manner. In hindsight I should have left. A most disconcerting experience.

London Tax Depot is the most unprofessional, incompetent group of clowns I’ve ever had the misfortune of doing business with. They misrepresent themselves as accountants, but check with the CPA of Ontario, they aren’t registered. I actually had CRA give me better advice on how to save more on my taxes than these idiots did. This place is a toxic stew of incompetence and the owners (who hate each other) spend all their time blaming someone else and making excuses rather than fixing their litany of mistakes. Stay far away from this place. Not only will you lose money, you’re almost guaranteed to get audited. They are cheap for a reason.

Prices are good and the staff is wonderful. Nancy went above and beyond for us! Can't thank her enough. I would highly recommend London Tax Depot to everyone.
