I had a great experience here. Michelle was kind and had a lot of patience with my cat. Poppy loved her haircut.)

Michelle Simpson is abusive to the customers, staff and animals in her care. My pet came back with fleas and was sick on the floor from stress. The conditions are appalling and unclean. It's no wonder there are so many negative reviews online. Stay away!

Michelle took great care of my senior cat. She groomed him well and was very responsive to my needs including convenient drop-off and pick-up times.

Michelle is INCREDIBLE! She spent so much time & energy with me (just on the phone!) discussing the special needs of my cat- sharing her wealth of knowledge with sincerity, compassion, honesty & generosity. I felt I should pay her for all that info, yet she was happy to simply put the cat's needs above all. She is truly angelic, and I cannot recommend this place enough! WAY MORE THAN 5 STARS!

We left our kitten here and he seemed to be ok with the stay. He got along with the other animals, eventually, and seemed normal when he got home. If only cats could talk lol.

I absolutely love this pet hotel for my cat Bella who has had numerous health issues. They have always taken great care of her whenever I have been away from town. They have a lot of knowledge on cats and dogs. I would definitely recommend this pet hotel. It’s not overtly expensive and they care a great deal about your pet’s well-being. They have always been very accommodating on last minute check ins/out. The lady who takes care of Bella always fills me in on amusing stories of my cat getting along with other pets whenever I pick her up.

Very friendly, professional and perfect for your pets needs and hospitality. During this time of awaiting my pets transport needs, this company has come thru in many ways. Highly recommend for short term or long term care.

What a fantastic cat hotel! A thousand thank yous to Michelle and Vera for taking such excellent care of my cat over the civic holiday long weekend. From my first contact with Michelle, communication was clear and extremely courteous. The cat condos are spotless, air conditioned and so inviting. Check-in and pick-up were scheduled by appointment, so I didn't feel rushed during the introduction and post-stay debrief. Fantastic grooming care was also provided - nails trimmed and fur de-shedded. My Galileo looks even more handsome than when I dropped him off:). Will book again for my next trip!

It's good. The lady, Michelle is always responsive, and I as long as I called a couple of days before my trip I can always find a place for my cat there. The cost is 25CAD/day.

Great Cat Hotel I honestly was a little nervous leaving the cats because i had a horrible experience last year. I was blown away by the amazing care she gave to both of my cats! My faith has been restored in cat sitters! I'll definately be back for any sitting or grooming needs!

This is our girls third stay at Lonesome Kitty. This is the only feline hotel I know and trust for my girls. Michelle goes above and beyond to accommodate us. A home away from home for our cats. We are always comforted that they are in good hands, maybe better hands. Thanks Michelle for all that you do.

Michelle's sensitivity and understanding of cats were extremely apparent in how she talked about and interacted with them, and in how relaxed and comfortable our cats were when we picked them up. They clearly received excellent and loving care and felt safe with their caretakers. We were very happy with our experience and would highly recommend Lonesome Kitty!

I have used their services twice now, and can confirm that my cats were well looked after.
The first time I left my cats there for 1 week, the second time was for 4 days.
The area for them to play in is small, but my cats were quite happy. There are cat trees, toys for them to play with.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Lonesome Kitty for the flexibility, service, and price!

Really well managed my cat was really well taken care of and my friend brought their dogs there and was pleasantly surprised.

Bad customer service. Called there, and who answered the phone did it in a very rude way, I felt zero desire to be friendly or answer my questions correctly. They just lost a new client.

Michelle Simpson, owner of Lonesome Kitty, is a TRUE animal lover. Her love and care for animals is strong and from the heart. She has the magic touch and the love each cat truly deserves. My nervous cat, Whisky, a rescue cat, easily relaxed during her very first visit with Michelle. It's now been 3 years of loving service, and many family and friends switched to Michelle's exceptional FELINE CARING WISDOM. No exaggeration. 10 out of 5 stars. I would feel terrified to allow anyone but Michelle to handle my beautiful cat's finicky needs.

This is the best place for cats and dogs. Not a store front. Very home like lots of loving care. Very responsible staff, very clean and organized.

I have always boarded my dog and cats here. The cats have a luxurious space on the third floor. They have tunnels and climbers galore. Great staff. The owner is so nice, my cats and my dog love her. The dogs have a great set up on the main floor. Beautiful environment. A truly loving home away from home.

This is the best place to leave a cat or dog. Also they are expert groomers, extremely kind to all pets. I have been using this service for more than 20 years and have referred friends and family that are extremely happy with the services. I have to say this person that keeps leaving false one star reviews is atrocious. This is a five star plus. I can not say enough good things about Lonesome Kitty. LOVE THIS PLACE.

I brought my cat to stay here and she was so happy. It is so lovely at Lonesome kitty. The cats are so relaxed and content. This is really a home away from home. I am so happy to be able to travel and not feel anxious about leaving my cat. I highly recommend this place

Never even got to use the services. The woman that i dealt with over the phone was very negative and did not really reassure me my cat would be in good hands. She seemed as though i was putting her out. Not sure what her problem is but she just lost the company some money and judging by these reviews, i see im not the only one to experience this. When i asked if i could come in saturday at noon (as that was a convenient day for her) she paused and said ". Uh well you know i dont want you not to show up" uhhh.why would i not show up? Lol what a bad representative for the company. -update since owner responded: Your lack of professionalism comes through in your argumentative responces to would be clients, especially when you blatantly lie 1 eg. I specifically asked for a noon appointment. Also why would anyone spend time creating a chain of negative reviews? Your problem could be so easily fixed if you took a class on customer service and possibly learned how to speak on the phone properly. Instead you waste your time posting condescending and snotty responces. 20 years ago is not today, so good luck.

I do not usually leave reviews without using a service but holy Geez this woman was rude. My friend and I were sitting here looking at each other in disbelief.
I called with a few questions since we both have Maine Coons that have never been groomed one is older the other is aggressive. I called to find out about different cuts and and how they handled cats with issues or scared. Her answer to everything was "we groom alot of cats we know what we are doing " her tone was annoyed and condescending. I asked about a teddy bear cut something I had seen while looking at cat cuts (I have never had a cat groomed I know nothing) however instead of being professional she commented like I was stupid and the only cut for the cat is lion cut and she knows because she grooms hundreds of cats.maybe if you get past the crazy cat lady attitude they do a good job but her professionalism sucks and for that I won't be using the service.

I have come to Lonesome Kitty on several occasions and there is no better place. The place is very clean, well managed and the best thing is that it is owned by someone who loves pets. She is very committed to her own pets as well as her clients' so I'm always relieved to know I can safely drop my cat there for grooming or for a hotel stay and know that he'll be cared for and loved. This is a great place and the pets facilities are spacious, clean and nice. Lots of space and a backyard too if you have a dog.
