I've never touched a guitar all my years of guitar addiction & when i walked in, they sorted me out.
Very friendly environment.
I'm going again tomorrow hopefully i don't play master of puppets

5 stars all the way for Bruce, Daniel, and Omar. I just bought a Williams piano and a Yorkville bench. The delivery and setups were done with utmost care and attention. Happy to recommend this team to everyone!

First of all, the store looks stunning. The opportunity to finance my purchase made my day. I was literally going home with a smile on my face. Especially appreciate Tyler Abbott and Ben Prior for extremely polite service and friendly attitude. Amazing, guys!

They have done a fantastic job with that location. Clean and pretty well laid out. I don't like how the guitar amps are all in one section, but the flow of the store dictates that, and it isn't a deal breaker. Staff are friendly, helpful and eager to assist. The guitar wall is gorgeous.

Nice place for renting and buying music instruments. Staff are also nice and knowledgeable.

Had an amazing experience with Connor! Very kind and patient throughout my entire experience at Long and Mcquade. It was my first time purchasing a guitar and he was incredibly helpful. Great location and staff!

I just had my Simon and Patrick restrung and the fretbosrd cleaned. They also reccomended some good strings for a very reaspnable price. I had them tune the guitar for $20.00. Whick onvluded the fretboard cleaning and I also bought some new bridge pins as mine were quite old and near end of life. So, for less than $60.00, I have new strings, new bridge pins, and a perfectly tuned guitar. They did this within two hours. Great service, and valuable advice!

Great experience and the staff were so friendly- didnt feel pressured at all compared to other guitar purchases. Also accessible by TTC. Will be back!

Excellent customer service. I used to take my guitars to a boutique shop for service but decided to try L&M. The turnaround time for service was amazing as was the quality of work. On another note, the sales staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. No snobby attitude here.

The staff at this store was really helpful. With a huge collection of guitars and others musical instruments, this is the place to go for everything music in Toronto.

The staff were really knowledgeable and helpful, there’s a nice open layout to it and a great selection for stuff at least for guitar, and as a lefty player they had a lot of options which is rare

This place is HUGE and most likely will have what u need! John was a great help as I needed to get a used Acoustic Guitar and also 5 Ukeleles.

Honestly, when you stand there with nearly $4k looking to buy a guitar you would think they would be all over you.

I spent 20+ minutes standing there making eye contact with each of the people on the floor. Yes, they were serving other customers but when someone stands there in front of a guitar for 20 minutes you would think someone would come over and say "would you like to plug it in and try it? ". Numerous people came and went and walked out of the guitar area.

I guess I could have been a little more forceful with wanting service but I honestly chalk it up to how I was dressed. I probably don't look like a guy with $4k to spend on a guitar.

In the end I did end up buying it but I feel like they could have stepped it up and said "hey, why don't you grab a pack of strings, and here's a cable too".

I wasn't looking for freebies, just looking to be a valued customer and honestly, I don't get that vibe from this place at all.

With service like this I might as well order online, try it out and take it back within the 30 day window.

I love this shop! Staff all very friendly and knowledgeable and I want to particularly thank and hype Mr David McCulloch (Guitars & Repairs) who is a tech wizard, very helpful and transparent with advice and best of all - a great dude!
Hey People! Go get a real musical instrument at this store and talk to some real people!

I tried to rent a gutiar here and had one of the worst experiences among any retail outlets that I interacted since I came to this country. I was denied the service of renting out a guitar at first because they said they needed address proof or had to pay deposit of 700 dollars.when I did provide them with the address they said I had to pay 500 dollars deposit, regardless of the address proof, which was not the case other people I know, who rented out guitars without any down payments what's so ever. He also said that he is not required to disclose the reason for denying me the service, then walked away. It let me wondering if the reason for denying was something to do with the colour shade of my skin.

I regret renting from here. - items were missing and not carefully looked. Had to go back to collect wasted gig time z poor staff. /‘d

I've had a horrible experience speaking to one of the agents over the phone (I didn't catch a name).

1. I called the store on behalf of my girlfriend to add an item to her existing list of rentals/purchases. Apparently there were items already on hold under her name in another store (which should not have been), we offered to call the other stores and cancel, but the agent's response to it was vague and unnecessarily rude. He kept repeating the same thing over and over again and appeared to be frustrated over something and taking it out on me.

2. He also had a problem with the fact that I am calling on someone's behalf, which I totally understand. But the way he communicated it was very offensive. And he raised his voice while repeating this like 3 times. (Once to me and twice to my girlfriend when she took the phone over from me to clarify something).

I still rented some stuff from this store because the other stores didn't have the items in stock and was treated well by the store employee during curbside pickup, but my earlier experience over the phone has been the absolute worst and kind of ruined the day for me. I've shopped at other locations of this store and I have always had a wonderful experience. This one was a bad apple for sure. I don't know what can be done since I didn't manage to catch a name but for whoever that's reading this, if you ever call this store and encounter an annoyed and unnecessarily rude employee on the other end of the phone, don't be surprised.

Marcus and Daniel are awesome employees and made our shopping experience and returns for our restaurant hitch-free and stress-free!

Clean, well-stocked store with a smoking hot manager who seems tough, but fair. Great service, great selection. 10/10 would go back for the managers number.and the guitars.

Friendly staff: Eric sourced what I needed and shipped it to the shop. Very quick and responsive. Glad to have them in the neighbourhood.

Very helpful staff. Received sincere advice on equipment options and best practices. Clients can buy, rent and even sale/exchange equipment which is always great. A nice addition to the East End.

I was interested in buying a new piano and decided to purchase from our very own Canadian Long and McQuade. Although, I was not very satisfied with the transaction as they were only able to give me the display model and did not even include its original box. This being said, I expected some sort of different compensation in return like a 5%-10% Discount or a carrying bag to put the piano in but the employee notified me that there was absolutely nothing that they could do even when I said I was not completely happy with the transaction.

The employee practiced very safe social distancing and was kind but was unyielding with the fact that I was not satisfied with the transaction.

Never have I purchased anything in my life in “out of the box” or “display model” where I did not receive some sort of discount or compensation.

This being said, I have been a supporter of Long and McQuade for many years and I think I will be taking my business elsewhere after this encounter.

Great selection and super helpful staff. Always love L&M but this one went above and beyond. Will definitely be back.
