Excellent service at this store. I recently purchased a Roland piano from this location. The staff was extremely helpful with my questions and made the process a very smooth one. This piano purchase was a big decision for me and the staff were able to provide valuable insights which helped me arrive at the right decision. Big thank you to both Steve and Ethan for helping me out!
This L&M location is quite nice as well. There's a solid selection of pianos, guitars, synths, etc.to try out.

I've been dealing with L&M since I was a teenager in the 80s, and they were willing to rent amps and instruments out of their Toronto store to a bunch of 14 year olds. This experience has kept them on my radar over the years and I haven't been disappointed (as they probably guess if they look at my purchase history. I have literally dropped tens of thousands of dollars here over the years).
The Guelph store in particular is a place I love to shop. The staff is excellent, and while I remember a time when Ben was just an employee, he has deservedly risen to manage the location and it couldn't be in better hands. I did have an issue with a special order, and while it dragged on for longer than I'd like, in the end it was L&M that took action to get me what I needed. The distributor in this case was useless, but at least L&M cared enough about the customer in the end to make it work regardless. For a large chain, you can get surprisingly personalised service from your local store.
The in-store selection is typically good, but note that L&M is an enormous retailer in Canada and must move a ludicrous amount of product every year resulting in vendor relationships which are second to none. If they don't have what you want, you can rest assured they can get it, and in a timely manner as their logistics chain seems to be very well organised. When I know exactly what I want, L&M is typically my destination.
I have started using their online retail services recently, and my experiences with that have also been excellent.

Great rental service done by Stephen and Ben! Make sure you let them know all the wiring and equipment you need for your AV rentals!
