WOW! INLOVE AGAIN WITH LONGBOARDING 'COZ OF THIS HOTSPOT - GREAT SERVICE, AWESOME EXPERIENCE, SOLID FELT ONLY GOOD VIBES. CHEERS RYAN TO YOUR BUSINESS -THE ROCK THAT STANDS OUT STRONG KEEPIN' REAL WHATS TRULY THE BEATING HEART OF TDOTS KENSINGTON
Got my pinnie board replaced the other day, I was on a field trip. Quick replacement for 60 bucks was quite the deal over all still happy with the results. Will probably come back to get bigger wheels as advised but for now ill try and get used to the board that was replaced.
Bought a longboard here a year ago. I had no knowledge or experience so I went in not really even knowing what I wanted - Ryan was really patient with helping me choose a board, adjusting it to fit me, and giving me tips to maximize enjoyment. Ended up loving it, and still come back every so often for help. Not sure if I would have stuck with longboarding if I just bought something off Amazon or something - really happy I came here.
Ryan was extremely informative and helpful. Helped me pick out the right elbow pads and shred lights for my bored. Even installed the lights on site! Great guy, great store, great time.
Great Skateshop! Always a great vibe, and always leave with what I was looking for Got my first longboard here, and whenever I'm in Kensington I always stop by. Ryan is always willing to answer questions and guide you towards finding a good fit and solution for what you need. He somehow keeps a solid selection of boards and parts in a relatively tiny space. Highly recommend you check them out if your looking to get on a board. They have multiple styles and sizes to choose from and will give you great advice, whether you're just getting started or have been skating forever. Highly recomend
Nice cozy spot with good prices. As a new rider, the owner helped to find a board that suited my needs and even gave me some pointers to help teach me ride in the parking lot behind the shop. Overall a very memorable experience, will be coming back again for all my other longboard needs.
Amazing products from this store. I’ve been buying from this shop since 2020 and they are an absolute pleasure to deal with. The products offered are top tier. For example I purchased a longboard 2 years again and it is still in quality condition and was not badly priced at all. The customer service is also amazing. Very informative and they will not rip you off at all. For example I had placed an order for a board I had ordered that was going to be too small for me. I was contacted by their store and was warned that the board will not be usable for my build. They were able to cancel the order and refund me even though the order was already placed. It was incredibly nice and thoughtful and the definition of putting the customer first!
Very friendly service, perfect place as a beginner too. Very responsive on messages and helps to find a board that matches the current skill, budget and purpose. Threw in free tool for me and shipped very quickly.
Took my 4 year old longboard here to get re-gripped. One of the only places that will do it at all in this city. Was 20$ for the tape and 10$ for the replacement cause my existing grip was so old it sanded right off. Awesome shop that's always busy. My board grips harder than ever! Picked up speed rings and was gifted new better fitting washers for the trucks. Would absolutely recommend! I'd suggest showing up early as it's always busy here.
Bought a board here a while back.haven’t bought anything else there since.terrible service, especially considering the size of the shop.i felt like i’d been gouged when i left.the owner didn’t seem to know anything about skate culture or the products he was selling.also it didn’t seem like he skated…? So weird vibe through & through.i could see that maybe the guy’s more angling to sell to kids maybe? I wouldn’t buy anything there that’s not from a trusted brand or at all.considering the owner’s overtly miserable attitude, it begs the question:
why is he in the service industry in the first place?
why open your own shop if you hate customers dude?
Great selection of decks and friendly staff! I bought a land yacht from here and the owner was super helpful in getting me what I needed. Not only that but the customer service is impeccable! Best longboard shop in Toronto.
The person I spoke to on the phone had an abundance of knowledge about longboarding and really helped guide me through the process of figuring out how I want to assemble my board. They told me to call back if I ever have any questions and they will try to help answer them. I placed an order shortly after! I highly recommend this shop for any of your longboarding needs.
I cannot resist the spin of their wheels, it's smoother than a brand new set of spinning wheels because of the excellence of their dedication to the craft.the craft of making sure i fly away happy and safe down a hill this summer and every summer with every option for every state of mind that my bank account might be in. Even in some winters man. They come through and bless you with any need not related to food; they do not concern themselves with that but instead stay focused the whole time to deliver solutions to your problems of rolling down a hill. My problem was that rolling down the hill by laying down and spinning myself does not actually strengthen my muscles and stamina, but it turns out that standing on a long board on perfectly tuned wheels from the Living Longboard can get me there with even less bruises. So I'm gonna do it for the rest of my life this way. Truly, thank you for the help man, it was a pleasure being loyal to care.
Ryan was greatly helpful, taking the time to help me find a longboard suited to my needs as a beginner on a budget, and being on the shorter side. His assessments were honest and patient, and he didn't oversell. He gave solid tips on building up balance and pushing. I'm in love with my new skateboard and excited about learning and getting ready for spring. Thank you, Ryan!
First time buying a board yesterday, I have very little experience with skating. The guy was helpful and let me try out some boards to see which one I felt most comfortable on. He also showed me lots of tips and helped me with learning how to balance on a board and getting on and off a board properly. If you are a beginner or experienced skater this is the place to go.loving my board so far!
Great shop! Came in looking for a cruiser board and the super knowledgable staff was able to fit me with the right board for big people like me. Service was very quick and was able to switch out parts to customize my board. Super happy with my purchase and this shop.
Great customer service when ordering online! There was a slight hiccup with shipping (simple human error caused my order to be sent out a couple days late). However, after a quick and pleasant call to the shop in Toronto, they got my order to me in less than 24 hours! Love the product and looking forward to surprising my girlfriend with a new board from a local business <3
I have always had great experiences here with the owner of the shop. He price matched a board for me and when I brought my trucks and wheels he put fresh hardware on my board and cleaned the bearings for me before setting the board up for me. Great service and lots of cool boards to choose from.
Ryan was awesome, and really helpful. My wife and I have been here twice in a span of three months, and both times we left thinking we’re glad that this place exists for ourselves, and for the long boarding culture.
Great service, and fast. Quality product. I ordered longboard shred lights for my son's longboard. My order arrived without the mounting brackets, so we called the store to ask about the brackets and the gentleman we spoke to said he would send them out right away, and he did. Very happy. Gentleman was polite, and very helpful. Will definitely order from here again. Highly recommend.
Some really good products that have been unavailable during covid 19 quarantine, seems like lots of products are unavailable or on back order probably impacted by shipping. This is true for several online skateboard stores, I see. I am interested in carbon fibre and skate surf so I always check here first. What I love is their beer boards made of recycled aluminum.
I like their outreach programming and meet ups, maybe in the distant future. This store is a definite asset to the Kensington Market.
Ryan is the owner and operator- he is super candid, reasonable, honest and an expert to deal with. This is the best place I know to get your board serviced. I highly recommend!
Mellow, patient and really knowledgeable guy who owns and works there made my daughter and me feel good about our visit. Helpful with getting padded and answered all our questions. Prices were reasonable and beat the competition for the things we bought. We even scored a few sweet stickers. Whether you're skateboarding or longboarding, we recommend you check this place first!
I ran into an issue when trying to purchase a board online. Ryan reached out to me and stayed long after closing to help me complete my purchase. Love the board and appreciate the extra work that went into getting it to me ultra fast.
Wonderful customer service, all the skateboarding equipment you need. Longboard Living has it! First time boarder or even experienced, it doesn’t matter! They’re always at your service. Ever since I found his store, I've gone nowhere else (and I don’t live close by but the journey is always worth it). Ryan is a great man!
Decided it was time to grab a longboard while I am stuck in Toronto due to the virus and one of the first results was Longboard Living. Doing a quick browse through the site I was indeed a bit confused with the selection. A quick Facebook message and a response 3 hours later I was set. Purchase was fast and simple got given a free shirt and stickers for my order. Customer service is outstanding. Highly recommended!
Walked in and got some great advice on options of upgrading my skateboard. He recommended calling ahead to make sure someone is in the shop as the hours aren't completely correct
I'm a beginner on e-stake, I purchased my boosted board from Ryan at Longboard Living, he is great to deal with from day 1, knowledgeable and more than willing to provide great input, and with his super fast personel 5 stars service, very happy with my decision to go 2 him for my e-skate needs.
My brother and I both bought boards from here, my brother got his board with new trucks, bearings, wheels and etc for a total of $160 and when I went I got my (very used) board with previously owned trucks, bearings and etc for over the price of $160, when I told them my what my brother got and the owner said "ok cool" and was just rude and unhelpful. Kinda wish there was better customer service for a place in Kensington. Don't go here unless you want a terribly designed board with a "longboard living" logo slapped onto it to make seem cool. Longboard Haven is your best bet for newbies.
Great little hipster spot for boards. They have everything from longboards to skateboards, to electric variants, as well as all the accessories you could need. The clerks are always super chill and willing to help point you in the direction most suited for you.
I have been shopping here for 2 years now and it is a great store! Although it is a small store, it is well maintained and has great customer service. When a product is not in the shop they will specifically order it in for you as they did for my loaded vanguard and ceramic bones bearings. One time I got to the store 5 minutes before closing and he stayed after closing to grip my board and just charged me for the cost of the grip tape. When loosing a small piece of hardware such as a washer or bolt they did not charge me for a replacement. Overall this is my favourite long boarding stores in Toronto with out a doubt.
If you're looking to purchase a board or want to become involved in the Toronto longboard community, look no further. Ryan, the shop owner, is knowledgable and friendly and will help you choose the right board for your commuter needs. Bought a Boosted board from here and have been so happy with it! Also have their double drop board and love the design/ride. Can't wait for the warm weather.side street surfing is always fun & a great way to meet local riders!
