We have been customers since they opened. No more.
Self scanners with no help for grocery prices up and beyond Giant Tiger and more like Fortino's with out the service.
Not sure how employees are treated but none look happy.
We used to buy turkey burgers and specialty items here.they disappear.
Only the older employees are mildly approachable.
I used to really enjoy shopping here. The location is great. Not now. Won't go back to bag my own groceries again or roam around without service.

I signed up for a $ 25.00 charcuterie course but had to cancel the day before because I fell ill, and I didn't want to infect the others taking the course. I asked for a refund or credit. I was told that I needed to give 2 days notice. Does anyone know they are going to be sick a few days in advance? I think not. Companies like this eventually go out of business because they have lost focus on the customer. It's not the $ 25.00. It's the principle and they have lost me for life as a customer. If they could ever think that they have to consider the lifetime value of a customer vs.the value of one event like this, they could stay in business longer. The only show in town is Fortinos, and they know it. No one is ever in Longos. My lifetime value is likely $ 50k and they lost me over $ 25.00. How stupid they are.

Today was my first time visiting the longos in Ancaster. I first walked in to see a beautiful produce section and was overwhelmed with some vegetables I wasn't familiar with. Was greeted by a grey haired older gentleman with glasses and was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge and advice will recommend to friends and family happily.

First time visit to Longo's in Ancaster. Purchased some chicken wings from the deli which were excellent. I also purchased a coconut cream pie which was over priced but thought I would treat my husband and myself as it is one of our favorite pies. What a disappointment it is the worst soggy pie I ever tasted. The crust was soggy wet, the cream filling was tasteless white color gelatin with no coconut in it,   and the whipped cream had no flavoring at all. The only coconut taste was the coconut flakes on the top. I ended up throwing the whole thing in the compost as I would not even feed this to my dog. I would highly recommend you take this God awful pie out if your bakery department.

Great store, very friendly and great selection and customer service. Takeout is awesome and pizza is amazing. Staff were quick to correct a problem with pizza and make me a new one. Very good customer service experience here after multiple visits. Really enjoy shopping here.

Unless the cake decorator is in, don't bother asking questions or placing your order! I had to change my entire cake the day before our party because the girl behind the counter misinformed me of MANY details that could be done. Although I left my number on the order slip, I never received a phone call that week. The bakery did do a nice job of our daughters Birthday Cake, but after the headache I won't go back.

I'm sure like myself, most customers would appreciate to be told their unsure then to be told yes.

Easy location to get to just off 403. Big parking lot close to other stores and restaurants. LCBO next door. Major grocery store selling all the brands. Good meats and specialty fish. Bonus points card for savings.

I see a handful of reviews from people whining about masks and their bogus exemptions and human rights.and I just want to say thank you to Longo’s and their staff for being steadfast in your requirements that protect both your customers and staff. Most of us appreciate all that you have been doing since the start of this pandemic, and it’s a big reason why you’re my go to grocery store.

Messed up my Thanksgiving order. Very unhappy. Will never trust them with preparing a meal for us again. Didn't even compensate us.

In anticipation of Thanksgiving dinner, my family ordered their Thanksgiving dinner nearly a month in advance off the Longo's website. When we went to pick up our order today, the associate walked around and had us wait over 1/2 an hour.hmm.finally she said they had run out of turkeys and they didn't have our order. WHAT? ! It's too late at this point to defrost and roast a turkey! They had our order and another person's order in their binder but it seems no one had bothered to prepare our meal? !

To try to salvage the situation, they gave us a packaged cooked turkey breast and had us go to the refrigerated section to select a number of prepared sides that they had on hand. No one had prepared the sides we ordered. So no mashed potatoes for us and no roasted root vegetables and no roasted whole turkey. I just don't understand how they can mess up a pre-order situation. They knew what we wanted and needed weeks in advance and just needed someone to have baked and have made these things a day or two in advance. Longo's messed up big. They are not trustworthy with your special events and orders. I will stick to ordering from restaurants for events to avoid disappointment. BTW this turkey situation still cost me over $120. We had paid in advance when we ordered.

Watched 3 employees let a guy in with no mask on, not one of them told him to put it on. They still served him.

I have a medical exemption from mask bylaw. It is a hazard to my health, not that it is anyone's business at this store. The employees at this store can feel free to look up the bylaw information at any time.

I went in this morning and the young woman greeting (keyword; a greeter at a grocery store, NOT a bylaw officer or the Gestapo) asked me if I have my mask, I let her know I have a medical exemption from the bylaw. Immediately I see her shutter, roll her eyes, and then inform me that "Then im going to have to let everyone know" proceeds to WALKIE TALKIE the rest of the employees in the store that someone without a mask is entering the store. Then of course all eyes are on me, the guy without a mask.

Absolute discrimination, shame on Longo's and the irresponsible employees who, if they are so concerned about Covid Guidelines, were not even social distancing, standing shoulder to shoulder looking down on the store. Only the customer has to adhere to guidelines in this store apparently, the employees are free to disrespect those with medical exemptions and then not social distance. Hypocrisy at its finest. Big ups to Jonathan (a manager?) who was kind and accommodating when I explained the disrespectful greeter's actions.

Longos website showed a product was available but was not when I drove out of town to their store. Out of 6 items i went to pick up, could only get 2. Out of stock. Not happy with my experience.

Things are a bit on the pricy side, but they're great quality, especially the premade sandwiches. Their Covid practices are some of the best, I feel safe shopping there.

Longos is doing amazing work during the virus outbreak, this is the place I feel most comfortable shopping. The store is very clean, masks mandatory, shelves well stocked and cashiers have been very friendly and great about waiting to accept customers after previous one is done which is a mistake made in many other stores that creates close contact between customers. Also love all the shields in place at checkouts and i hope they stay up because its nice to have during flu season too. Keep up the good work, I really appreciate efforts Longos has taken to make shopping safer for customers and their staff. Also the cashiers have all been very nice through all this, even when the lockdown first started, your kindness is appreciated, those smiles really help some of us feel like things are still normal when its far from it.

My one issue with Longos is a lack of natural/organic food selection, it's a decent size but I buy a lot of various natural products so its hard to buy solely from this store when you dont carry a lot of products. Prices are decent on organic items tho which is nice.

Thank you Longos team, you are amazing.

Masks are a requirement at this location. If you do not have a mask, they are asking that you make a “donation” in order for them to provide you with a mask.

Here’s my issue, other than the infringement upon our Human Rights, where is this money being “donated”? And how much has been “donated” so far?

Every other store that infringes upon our Human Rights, at least provides the mask at no cost.

It is NOT law to wear a mask. If it is YOUR store policy, then YOU should provide them, free of cost to your customers whom you are already making LOADS of money from. Every other store does.

Is Longos above the law? Just curious.

So long Longos (at least this location), it was fun while it lasted.

I am very happy to shop here, especially these days. Everyone is required to wear a mask and the staff observes social distancing. It was missing a few things I like, but a very good experience, overall.

They have a great assortment of pre-prepared meal options I including precut veg for the grill or stir fry, pasta and potato salads, rice etc. Produce is always fresh, great deals on meat and fresh baked products available. They're doing a great job with the covid crisis having made masks mandatory and creating an environment where people actually keep a 6ft distance.

Moved to the area approximately 1 yr ago. I'm an RN who retired after 46 yrs. Have worked in long term care and also as an infection control nurse. Kudos to Longo's for the practices they have put into place.i. E.one of the first places to require face masks, plastic protectors at the check out counters, and allowing early hours for seniors to do shopping. Staff are always consistent in cleaning carts, sanitizing conveyor belts and always personable. When in the check out line, I always thank them for working. You're on the right track and thank your employees for me!

High quality products with easy to navigate, wide aisles. Product availability is very good, produce is fresh and lasts. Staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Check out is fast.

Hard to believe a company this size would not allow me in their store without wearing a mask. Even when the manager is standing in front of me NOT wearing an N95 mask. Not sure how these people think a piece of tissue is going to stop an airborne virus.

All I wanted was a coffee from Starbucks

This Longos has the nicest produce selection and meat selection in my opinion over all the other stores in the area including Fortinos and Metro. Everything is always spotless, they have a wonderful fresh pasta section and the staff is always extremely kind and helpful. And a bonus if they have a Starbucks in the store also!

I love this store because it is always well staffed and super clean. I never have to wait in line and the cashiers are friendly and helpful.

Love the store, BUT. PLEASE remove/get less "steep" speedbumps. Even just crawling over the ones you've just installed almost threw my back out in my car. They're too much! (rating will change if speedbumps are removed/replaced)

Used to be my go-to grocery store, but with the new "speedbumps" they installed I can't park my car without legitimately burning my clutch to try to get over them slowly enough. If they fix this maybe I can actually enjoy my shopping experience like I used to.

Judging by the scrapes on the speedbumps after only being installed for 1 week, they are damaging vehicles.
