Longo's Yonge & Sheppard

Nice and friendly staff, good quality products. Not the largest variety, but very good nonetheless.

Not very pleased with the current level of customer service. At 8: 00 there is no fresh merchandise out. It was just started. They would not check if there is in the boxes, prefer to say they do not have. It went down is service levels in the last 6 to 9 months.

Discrimination Alert. Short, stocky lady with short, dark curly hair, usually manning the self checkout area.

Cashier mistook my disability for being intoxicated and refused to sell me a can of beer. She made a huge deal, attracting the attention of other staff and customers, and completely humiliating me.

For the record, I buy 1 can of beer once a month to enjoy a Saturday afternoon. I was dead sober, just disabled.

Never been to a Longo's before but I loved it. Nice, clean and organized. Friendly and polite cashier.

Just had a terrible experience at this location. The self checkout has always been crowded, small, and not user friendly, but these days it's also messy with garbage on the floor, especially under the till. The bagging area is so small my stuff keeps getting dropped on the filthy floor. The cashier just stood there chatting with a coworker when I obviously needed help. And, I hit my head when picking up my stuff, the cashier said nothing, completely ignored me. This place is also getting more and more expensive, I am switching to other nearby stores, and there are a lot to choose from.

Spacious, clean, good discounts, good variety of products. Definitely recommend! Cannot use the self-service checkouts if buying alcohol.

It is not a big store, but its shelves are always replenished with a good variety of items. Conveniently located on Sheppard Centre

The produce is fresh, prepared foods are delicious and the staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. It's a pleasure to shop here.

A clean modern location. The opening of new locations in North York and Liberty Village means that this chain is on a roll.

Joanne from seafood dept is a very approachable, patient and understanding. This young gurl gave her best to assist us all throughout. We’ve encountered an issues to our purchase and even after that time she was still there to help us. We’ll definitely look forward to see her again on this Longo’s store. A fixture in the community with high standards on quality and service. Fresh produce, floral, kitchen, bakery, meat & seafood sections. Weekly sales, limited time promotions and loyalty program.

Worse grocery store in this neighborhood compared to FB and Whole Foods. I even rather drive to Bayview village but not buy from here. Several bad experience: chicken was already gone bad, they just added some marrination sauce and sold it, bread cookies all gone bad already

I already threw away the chicken right away, fried the egg to eat with bread and noticed it doesn't taste good. Guess what? Bread already has blue spot on it.

Great store and selection of products! Super convenient that they have a Starbucks right inside. Went on a Saturday afternoon so it was more crowded than usual. I walked past a few shoppers shoulder to shoulder.had someone find a product for me and he was very friendly! The cashier was nice too!

The store is very clean, and has a good but slightly expensive selection of products (though the weekly sales offsets this), but on my first visit I went to the Deli section and was met by a red haired employee and she was extremely rude and gave me attitude. After my encounter with this employee I will not be returning to this location.

I was at your store this past monday morning, my first time and I should say that i will for sure shop there again. Fresh produce, friendly and helpful staff. The aisles are wide and clean. Some products are a bit pricey, but I found a lot of good deals.

Best customer service experience!
Everytime I can't find a product, the staff walks me to the product instead of just pointing me to an aisle. They will take my order over the phone and hold the item for me. They're clean and organized.

Was there for a kids birthday party, pizza making and cupcake decorating. The staff on hand were really nice and patient. Clean space for the kids to do their thing. May even take the idea for my own.

Generally, I LOVE Longo's. I am disappointed in the location. So fractionalized. Cannot even get a brewed coffee.escept a KEURIG in the loungie part.

My favourite grocery store in the area. I'm glad they opened because its usually cheaper than Loblaws. Check it out if you haven't been in yet.

Great grocery store with huge selection of natural food, ready to pick dinner, bakery etc. Convenient location, underground parking for 2 hours free, wheelchair accessible.

Very modern and clean location. Conveniently located at the upper shopping levels of Yonge and Sheppard with direct access to subway. Everything is generally fresh and there is a huge cooked food section for those who just want a quick bite!

Excellent staff at this store! Groceries can be bought anywhere, but the consistently pleasant and helpful employees I've encountered here make all the difference to me when I'm shopping after a busy day at work. Keep it up!

Went for a quick dinner. Parked underground, had a tasty pizza and drink, followed by super dessert. Coming back soon.

Overpriced. But there are some authentic things u can find here.there's also an eatery. So u can sit and eat.

This is a nice grocery store. The produce looks nice and the meat selection is well stocked and organized. The store feels a little small but for its location I think it works well.

I was already in the mall so I hopped on the escalator and went to check out Longo’s.
The store is clean but overpriced. I didn’t pick up anything so I headed out. A security guard demanded to see my shopping bag, took it from me and looked inside! He questioned where I bought the items inside. Had I not been so shocked I would have thrown my receipts in his face. Be prepared to be treated like a criminal if you try to leave by the Starbucks entrance!

Person who works at the kitchen section should not just turn her back on the customer while asking questions because it's quite rude.

Beautiful and organized store. I often find everything I'm looking for. A bit pricey for my everyday needs, but definitely worth the splurge.

My favourite grocery store in the city! There are days where I come here and grab breakfast from the hot table, stop by at lunch for a smoothie or a soup, and come to pick up food to cook for dinner. Love love this Longo’s!

One word - AMAZING. Not too many people, decent prices, healthy food selection. They even have friendly bakery staff during busy times. A CUT ABOVE.

Sharing some facts: you should spend $20 to validate parking, other places are usually 15. It is clean, and has a dinning area at the back. Order of aisles and fridges are not matching with other locations. Fridges are against the wall all over the places and aisles are place counter intuitively perpendicular to each other.
- the worst thing: live lobsters on display, with wrapped claws crammed on top of each other. The worst MORBID scene possible in a grocery store. Never walk again around the meat section to see those poor lobsters!

Beautiful new store. Large lovely collection of diverse items I haven't seen in other grocery stores. Really like the olive loaf at the bakery.
Have unfortunately found some problems with the produce such as the beans already going off in the store.

Also stopping me from giving it a perfect score is the staff, like many other places they're more interested in talking to each other than acknowledging the customers.

This is an absolutely terrific store. Their produce is excellent and very fairly priced considering the quality is so high.
I purchased a large 8 pound brisket today from the meat counter and cooked it today. I am so impressed. It is absolutely the best brisket I have ever made, and I’ve been cooking them for 50 years so I know from experience. And the price was $4 per pound less than the store I usually buy it from. Incredible.
The staff are wonderful, pleasant and helpful and I really like the way the cashiers put elastics on the boxes of berries so they don’t spill all over.
And they stock items like Rogers Granola and different types of flour that are difficult to find in many supermarkets.
I’m so happy to have this store in my neighbourhood.

I enjoy shopping at Longos, especially this location because it is so close to home. Their prices are reasonable and the quality is above anything else. Sure, you might find 1 random bad produce in a bunch, but that's life. If you want something perfect, grow your own crops! The bakery staff are very helpful when helping me decide a cake for my son's 1st birthday, juice bar is so whole and pure, meat and seafood is delicious, deli has some great Italian meats which we LOVE, and don't get me started on the hot and cold bar. Variety of salads and flavours are out of this world. Price per weight is reasonable considering EVERYTHING IS MADE FROM SCRATCH! If you want cheap and poor quality, go to another grocery store!

Clean, well maintained. A bit pricey on average.seems to be geared more to the Whole Foods crowd.

I love the store.the parking lot can be very confusing. Remember to have your parking validated. I shopped this week and was not impressed with the produce.needed to return. It was not LONGOS QUALITY. Especially since it is a new store. I might not be so loyal to this store.

It's a nice place for groceries, especially when you live literally across the street until you walk in and get followed around by loss prevention employees. They're only doing their job I understand but it feels demeaning. Maybe I should walk in with a suit and tie next time as oppose to sweats and a baseball cap I'll be going to the wholefoods downstairs where I live instead.

A stellar store with excellent prepared food choices. Don't miss "Corks" the onsite beer and wine bar where you grab a bite and enjoy a great view of Yonge Street. Or, you can enjoy a slice of pizza and other take out items and sit in the onsite food area that also overlooks Yonge. Parking is free with a $20 purchase.

Perfect new addition for the Sheppard-Yonge area. The staff is very helpful and kind. The beautiful bronde lady in the floral department immediately started helping when I asked if they sell aloe leaves. The produce is very cheap and fresh. Longo's is known for having great produce, so there's no excuse not to support this new store. The staff is amazing, the fruits and vegetables are cheap, and we all should be eating more whole plant foods to be healthy. (little to no animal products)

To the negative Nancy who rated this a one star. (Aka A) What do you do for work? Cause it looks like nothing. Please don't take his reviews seriously. He describes all the people in his reviews by their race. Who tf does that? As an Asian person. I find it very offensive and racist. Get off your high horse and put yourself in the shoes of these hard working employees.

No I'm not a Longo's employee. But I do work in the building at Ricki's. Clothes for women sizes 0-18, next to TD bank and Carter's.

As an employee I'm also biased I will admit. But I really feel the love and respect of the entire neighbourhood. I hear a lot of "thank you for coming to the area" and "what a beautiful store". I think Longos was way overdue in this area (grew up and lived here for over 20 years) and I believe we will satisfy all of our guests even if it might take a few weeks to adjust to everybody's needs. Best grocery store in Canada. Much better than any grocery store or any retail store for that matter. Quality is amazing. Great Variety of products
