Lonsdale Grove and Cat and the Fiddle, Boutique Style Pet Boarding, Grooming and Care

We left our pup Oscar at Lonsdale Grove for 12 days. We were very nervous as it was the first time we’d ever left Oscar. Their care was second to none. When we picked up Oscar I think he even hesitated for a moment as he had been busy playing with friends. I would absolutely use their services again with hesitation.

Our cat Apollo loved his stay and we were relieved to have a safe place for him to stay whilst our house was having open houses.

Lonsdale is the best! Our Ace going to Lonsdale for grooming and boarding almost 2 years and I never experienced anything bad. All the staff friendly and professional. Emily always makesure that Ace has a perfect cut. I feel very safe and happy when Ace at boarding. I highly recommend Lonsdale. Thank you again for your great service

Our cat stayed at Lonsdale for the first time for over 3 weeks. The accommodations are the best we’ve ever seen. The place is spotless and there is no odor of animals at all. Our cat was in excellent shape and well cared for. Highly recommended.

We boarded our furry crew of four (2 dogs and 2 cats) here for nine nights. We were a bit nervous as one of our pups was only 23 weeks old. But all four of them did great! Cats can be very stressed when boarded, but our two Persians did very well! (At another facility, one of our cats came home weighing 4kgs less. Thankfully both cats came home healthy from Lonsdale Grove.) All four were groomed during their stay - the cats got lion cuts and the dogs both got a "tidy" grooming. Perhaps the biggest "tell" of an animal's experience at a facility is how quickly they return to their normal selves when they are at home again. Both the cats and dogs were back to "normal" within a couple of hours. Lonsdale Grove is a good 45 minute drive from our home, but the drive is completely worth it! We couldn't be more pleased with our experience.

The team there were great, took my pup Cookie in for her first cut, she was nervous at first but was happy when we received her back.

Staff were really courteous and professional.

I recommend them for any of your pet's grooming needs.

The staff were all so incredibly friendly. I booked an appointment here because the amazing groomer, Emily G. (Emiloo), began working here. She welcomed back my dogs and welcomed my cats for the first time with open arms. I have a perfect dog and a perfect cat, but I also have a very grumbly dog and an extremely timid cat. She was so kind and patient with my animals. Other groomers tend to give up on my grumpy pup before finishing the groom, so he never looks as fabulous as he deserves. Emily made sure to pamper him and tolerated his loud-mouth attitude. She made sure to ease my kitties into the grooming process to ensure they would not be too scared. Everyone came back looking absolutely adorable and amazing. I gave her a Muppet and she returned a beautiful dog.

Emily did such a great job grooming my persian cat and my exotic shorthair! They both came back looking amazing and were super calm and relaxed afterwards. My ESH Frank is a rescue and when we brought him to Lonsdale he was very dirty and matted and now he looks amazing! Thank you!

Lonsdale Grove is an exceptional boarding facility. My cat needed longer term boarding and I am so glad I found this place. The staff are very polite, courteous and they take the time to get to know your pet. I called to check on my cat multiple times and was always very impressed with the staff and their knowledge. My cat came home happy and well cared for which just solidified my trust. I will definitely be using this facility any time I need boarding in the future!

Lonsdale is the best! I was very apprehensive about boarding my dog for the first time in years after doing so previously for a couple days at another venue and having a bad experience. The premium cost is SO worth it. I love that they specifically cater to small dogs, match dogs based on their temperament for play, or offer solo play time if that’s what is best/you request. They even sent a couple photos & updated me on how he was settling in. Will definitely use them again!

What a wonderful place to know your 4 legged family member is well taken care of. The two week stay was wonderful and so was the staff in providing updates and knowing what type of personality our Cocker was. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

I have a Tabby/Bengal mix that is full of non stop energy and he requires lots of play time and outside walks. Every now and then he needs an extra good clean to stay sharp! He is quite the handful but Emily is amazing with him. He doesnt stress out or scream when she bathes him and we're in and out quickly with a fresh, soft coat. Great facilities, excellent staff and Rick, the owner, is a pleasure. Lonsdale is my new go to spot!

Emily at Lonsdale is the BEST groomer and only groomer we trust to bathe, cut and clip our little guy! Our puppy normally doesn't like baths but you can really tell that he loves coming to Lonsdale for his groom because he also gets to run around in their massive yard. They even sent our little guy home with the cutest bandana. He loves the staff and is always so happy to see his groomer when we arrive for his appointment. The Lonsdale facility is incredible and really is a sanctuary for pets. It's the best place you can take your furry friend!

My two cats approve. They are always well cared for when there and are their normal selves when they return home.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a space for their fur babies while away. Zeus came home happy, clean (didn’t smell), full of cuddles, and most of all calm. You could tell that our kitty enjoyed his stay! He’ll be back, and we will continue to use Lonsdale for any extended time away! So happy I found a great local spot.

I have been boarding and grooming with Lonsdale Grove for a few years. I have never received anything but exemplary service from them. The process is so simple to follow and Rick and staff are always pleasant and helpful. I know it’s stressful for some pets to be boarded but somehow even my fussy cat always comes home and settles right back in. Thank you Lonsdale Grove for all you do!

The only place I will take my pup from here on out. What appealed to me was that this facility caters to small dogs. Each unit also comes with heated floors, a patio, TV and lots of outdoor time. There is a groomer on site as well. My pup always leaves happy!

Brought my long hair cat here for a comb cut - they were professional, helpful, and my cat looks great! Very happy with their service, will be back.

UPDATE: Simba had an amazing time on his mini-vacation. He came back happy, healthy and cuddly. We're so thankful that they could accommodate us. Will definitely recommend to other pet parents:)!

Have a buddy that can be a little extra work and not everyone can accommodate. The team asked the right questions, looked for more information from our Vet and got back to us quickly! AND could get him in!

Can't wait to review again after their stay!
