I just started dealing with these guys and couldn't be more impressed with their customer service. When you call, they pick up, nearly instant response on emails, and some of the friendliest staff I've dealt with in any business. Orders are fulfilled very quickly, same or next day. BZ to everyone who works there.

Kevin Woo was very helpful, price for diamond wall plating was very fair for our order too. I strongly recommend buying from this company for any metal work.

Very nice people and great service.

I needed a small piece to fix some training equipment I got. A new part from the company that make this machine cost 180$. I went there and got a 3" aluminum tubing for 5$. Even though it was such a small and cheap part, they still treated me like a valued customer and helped me with the best care they can provide.
Special thanks goes to David Marsh, for helping me choosing the correct material, cutting it and dealing with everything.

Next time, when I will build my Gazebo, I know that place will be the first and last place I'll deal with.

This is a great spot for metal. Be warned that this is not a sparkly clean retail store. If you are a hobbyist, make sure you bring work gloves and cardboard/old rags to protect your car from the dirt and oil that is likely to follow you home. Steel toe boots are not required, but it's a smart idea, it's a metal shop after all.
They have full sized parts as well as a nice selection of cutoffs for the "home gamer". It pays to know a bit about the metals you are looking for since there is limited labelling of the cutoffs and realizing you picked up a chunk of stainless instead of regular steel will surprise your wallet.

Tl;dr: I've never used any metal shop's cutting or drilling services. I buy my stuff in bulk and cut at home as needed. Loucon is fantastic if that is the kind of customer you are.longer version: Loucon is a great place to get metal, they seem to have better prices than everyone else in town. That said, the experience you may get at Loucon is going to be a bit more dependent on you knowing the way metal shops tend to work.

What I mean is that a rudimentary knowledge of metals and the metal trade in general will help your experience at Loucon.the other shops have a great level of customer service, really clean shops and websites that make it easy to pick out what you want.but their prices per piece of metal are also higher.

Loucon is poorly lit, their website is outdated, and walking into the shop feels a little awkward (there is no front "door", you walk in through a garage style door that is open). But, perhaps, because they've focused on making metal available rather than polishing the bells and whistles of customer service, they're able to bring their prices down a bit lower than the other local shops.

So, if you know what you want and aren't afraid of getting your hands a little dirty, Loucon is an outstanding place for picking up bulk metal. I can't rate their cutting service as I've never used it myself. Angle grinder + cutting disc (if you keep your eye open for a deal) is about $50. Pick one up and save yourself $$$ with Loucon's prices.
