First time ordering and this kind of pizza was made to please. Ingredients are obviously so good, and adding garlic dip is almost essential. Phenomenal stuff.

Great friendly service. We went for a pick up and it was ready quickly (15 minutes). They have ample parking and the taste is veeery good. I dont normally eat all the crust of every slice but I did with their pizza! The inside of the restaurant looks like it's straight out of the 60s-70s which I love! They are a classic joint for a reason!

C'était ma première pizzeria depuis mon arrivée à Ottawa et depuis je ne commande que chez eux. Je ne suis pas partie chez d'autres pizzeria pour dire s'il y'a mieux mais en tout cas j'adore leur pizza.

Malgré que le resto est à Vanier, personne ne parlait français chez le personnel. Dommage. Le service fut pourtant courtois et rapide. La bouffe était assez banale. J'avais déjà essayé la pizza en 2021, et découvert qu'ils utilisaient du fromage trafiqué, genre mélange de mozza avec soya. C'est très visible (fromage laiteux, qui s'étire peu, et quasi liquide en le réchauffant). Triste, mais légal.

Aujourd'hui, du veau haché (enfin, j'espère que c'était du veau, tel qu'annoncé.) dans un enrobage légèrement frit, bon goût, mais ça manquait d'amour. Un petite sauce aux champignons aurait vraiment fait une grande différence. Le plat était servi avec des légumes vapeur sans intérêt. Ma compagne avait commandé le foie de boeuf avec oignons et frites, et elle était très satisfaite malgré la cuisson un peu agressive de la viande. Bref, un resto sans ambition, sans prétention, ordinaire, et très, très populaire.

I have been a long, long time customer here, same amazing authentic family and great pizza (they have other items on the menu but I stick to the pizza (for the last 25 years).

I’ve been going to Louis since I was 5 years old, and it still the best Pizza I’ve ever had hands down! Unbeatable! And amazing staff. Ask for Louis Special. You will not be disappointed!

My family was ordering pizza from this place when I was a kid in the 80’s because it was my dad’s favourite. 40 years later and it’s still the best pizza in Ottawa. I haven’t lived in Ottawa since the mid 90’s but try to make order every time I visit. I am very happy the current generation running the restaurant is upholding the high standards.

Ordered a Margerita pizza, it's not on the menu.
They made a plain cheese pizza instead, so disappointed. They should never do that again. Take an order that they cannot do right.

Ordered from Ubereats. $55 later. Dough is incredibly salty and mushy. Sauce tastes like slightly sweetened V8 and toppings have no flavour. The ham was a weird chemical-y tasting lunch meet that completely offset the whole thing. Disappointed. I had a pizza from here two years ago and it was absolutely delicious. This was barely edible

Funny when you read " best pizza in town ", we all just think it's another review overly boasting and experience. But the people are right, the articles. This is literally the best place for pizza in town. Can't wait for my next order.

The crust and the sauce is what sets Louis' well above the rest. The staff is just as good as the pizza there too.

Considered one of the best pizzas in Ottawa. All the years I've been coming here, I've never strayed from ordering pizza. Big mistake. I tried a club sub and the chicken Caesar salad the other day. I've realized I've been missing out on the other great food this place has.

My go-to pizza place right now. Crust and toppings have the major players beat. I usually build my own pizzas, but the ‘Louis’ Special’ is work of art, and you don’t mess with perfection! I only wish they had their own delivery people so I didn’t have to give Uber Eats a big chunk of their money! Ya gotta try it.

My co-worker recommended this place and called it the best pizza in Ottawa. I was skeptical because the dude just likes to eat but I tried out the veggie pizza and sweet Jesus this might be the best pizza I’ve just ever had. The crust itself is amazing, and though its Covid times and we can’t dine in, the interior is pretty el classico diner/pizzeria. Only down side is they don’t do delivery besides through skip the dishes, but there’s no way I’m taking a star off for that when the pizza is that good. *chef’s kiss*

Had Louis Pizza for the first time today. Had 2 large Louis Specials and they were very special. Probably the best crust I have ever had. Very friendly service and the coconut cream pie was awesome. Thanks Louis for making today extra special with my family. Great Pizza!

I have never been to a more caring restaurant in my life! The pizza is the best in the city and I have been coming back to it for years, even when I've been living on the other end of town.

Pizza is good nice people, but I've ordered poutine from them 3 time now and the fries are undercooked who cant cook a fry?

I have been to louis on a lot of different occasions and every single time it's great Service. The Ladies that serve are always smiling and fun. The pizza is fantastic and it never disappoints. I will have to add some pictures the next time I go. Again this is a recommended pizza place that has a variety of options and seated services.

I love this place. It truly is a gem. It's a classic family pizzeria with delicious food. The decor is dated and it is small inside, but strangely it really works, like going back in time.

Recently ordered Louis' pizza for the first time. I was not disappointed! The pizza was excellent, generously topped, and the dough has a little something salty that makes is totally scrumptious. Bonus: I got free pie because my name is also Louis: D

We came all the way from aylmer quebec just to try the pizza and we werent put down it was the best ive eat i a long time bravo louis pizza and the best time was taking with moe and his waitress about old times when he had his pizza place in gatineau.

A real neighbourhood institution. The place looks the same as it did 40 years ago and the same staff (family) still work there. Outstanding pizza! Service is fast, even when the place is packed (which is often). Louis is a real part of Vanier and worth the trip. I try to eat there at least once a month. Twice if I'm in the neighbourhood.

If you like fluffy yet crunchy cheesy and heavy style pizza, this is the place to go. If you want thin crust stone oven baked kale and artichoke artisanal buffalo cheese pizza, this is not your place to go. Home cooked meals, hearty, friendly and it's hard to find a place that still serves a good liver meal.

Pizza is the best I have tasted! Cheese was perfectly stringy with no noticeable oils, and a light and crispy crust. Absolutely impressed!

Great pizza, wonderful service staff. It is a very busy restaurant, so it may be a bit of time for your pizza to arrive at your table. Keep that in mind and you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely wonderful pizza, staff, swiftness (of course one can't fault them if very busy). And charming atmosphere.
This is what I would term a "classic" pizza of highest quality.
The location is fine and the restaurant itself is adorable, with a nice homey feel to it. Hence the charm I mentioned.
Prices are fair because you're getting exceptional food.

I enjoyed the complimentary coffee as I waited for my order to be ready. Bonus!
I can see why they have a good reputation.

I chose to eat here because of all the hype. "It will be the best pizza you've ever had, they said. Well truth is, it wasn't. But I still enjoyed my experience. The place was crowded for a Wednesday night, but we were seated fairly quickly. The decor was a bit much. I guess it's supposed to add to its "authentic" feel. It was all a little strange. The waitresses were yelling at each other from across the room. Our waitress looked a bit overwhelmed, and in the chaos, she forgot to refill my drink even though she had promised to return promptly. I wasn't upset; I just left a little thirsty.

No surprise its been around over 30 years. Neck & neck with Riverside Pizza in Cornwall for best pie for this guy

The place is just awesome. It looks so good from the outside. The interior is good too. The pizza is so much delicious. The service is best for sure.

This gem has been serving our family forn4 generations! I've come back to visit Ottawa after being away in Edmonton for 7 years and was pleasantly suprised to see nothing has changed and the pizza is as delicious as I've always remember!
