I would give 0 stars if possible. This is probably the third time I've gone to rona out of location convenience and am reminded once again why I don't go there. I the plumbing department was unmanned for 20 mins while I grabbed what I intended on purchasing and it took another 5-10 mins to find an associate that could call the plumbing department associate to their station. All I needed was a simple replacement for a moen o-ring that the moen representatives give to department stores to provide customers who own moen products.

Everytime I come here the plumbing associate argues with me about the existence of free replacements and insists I pay an inflated price for my free part instead. It's sad that department stores can't be bothered to educate their associates before allowing them to run a specialized area of the store.

I need to contact moen about their parts policy now because a competitor (that had provided me with faucet repair kits in the past) claimed moen doesn't provide them anymore, ust cartridges. That other associate didn't even look though so I believe he just didn't want to deal with digging it out.

Regardless of that though having a section of your store completely unmanned for 20+ minutes is unacceptable. Especially when other associates claim the one guy manning it must be on lunch @ 7: 15 pm. Only to find that two associates were in charge of the area.

It's sad what Rona did to this store when they bought it from Lowe's. Lowe's was such an excellent store with knowledgeable staff eager to help and an excellent selection of stock. Now? The place is empty. On a recent weekend afternoon, I could barely find anyone to help with a question. We bought all of our appliances here when it was Lowe's. The staff was friendly and full of sound advice and suggestions. Now I counted about five or six people working in the entire place. It's worse than Canadian Tire. An employee told me Rona basically came in and fired everyone and cut hours way back. The staff used to be the reason to go to this store, the reason it stood above other chains. Now, there's little difference between this place and the horrible Home Depot or the equally horrible Canadian Tire. They didn't even have any mulch left in the pathetic garden center at peak mulching season!

I decided to downgrade this to one star from two because of the lame, canned reply.

We couldnt find anything we needed at home depot at the sunrise center in Kitchener. Not even lament flooring. They only had a few options in stock. Then we went to lowes and found everything we needed for our project. They had 3 to 10 times more selection, and everything was in stock. I honestly dont know why anyone would go to homedepot after experiencing the difference. Good job lowes!

I usually know what I'm looking for and don't need staff for assistance. Last time I went in for some screws for outdoor use. I was happy to look on my own, but a staff member asked what I was looking for. He seemed confused and showed me the whole section of screws for indoor use. After a while of waiting for him as he searched without success, I just told him, I'd continue searching on my own. It's only one incident, so hopefully other staff are more knowledgeable, especially if that is the section that they roam and are responsible for. Otherwise, it's a decent store with good selection of products at good prices.

Products are great and lot of choices for house decoration.
HOWEVER, if you do not want to do price match please do not advertise that! I found the same model the same colour and the size in Canada and shown as Canadian dollar. It is from the product’s company official Canadian website which not just some fake or cheap companies. After customer service’s triple check with manager and manager’s manager, they said they can do the match but they had to add the shipping fee? Have never seen this rule on their website. I don’t understand why I have to pay the shipping fee when I was in store? And no 10% addition difference applied which was not a deal anymore compared to their unreasonable charge and their violation to their advertisement. I guess when you saw a small difference on the price the store can just do the price match nicely but when the price difference is to large, they will just find any excuse they can use to refuse you.

Always disappointed when I choose to go here. They have a very limited stock of just about everything, and I always end up leaving with less than half of the things I was looking for and end up having to go to a different hardware store.

Went there to buy a new door handle. The item was very easy to find and the staff was very friendly. The CSR who helped me was extremely knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The door handle I bought was faulty (manufacturers defect) so I had to return it. The staff at the returns counter were ok. Not as friendly as the other staff, but they were polite enough. Would definitely recommend this store.

Had the pleasure of asking Erich for assistance on some lumber. I had simply asked if they carried ground contact rated pressure treated lumber. Well let me tell you, Erich seems to think he knows everything about lumber. According to him it doesn't exist and there's 4 different kind of pressure treated. After he spent 22 years in construction he knows everything. He was very condescending and tried pushing his opinions on me, without me even asking for them. I literally had to get mad and tell him to leave, before he would stop telling me how wrong I was about everything. I just had one question. This guy needs to learn some manners. For that reason I will no longer shop at this lowes.

I always seem to know more about their products than the staff does.
Surprised that they don't carry anything other than builder grade 90' euro hinges (kitchen cabinets).

Refuse to enforce mask and distancing by-law. Refuse to take any action when alerted, other than we can check with head office next week. Go into this store at your own risk. Patron safety apparently is just not a concern.

Top notch that the store has people to actually answer a phone during the pandemic and not have an automated machine telling you to used the internet. Appliance division was able to not only help pick out the right fridge for my home but go the extra distance and expedite the order because of the emergency. Thanks to Curly at the Boardwalk waterloo branch, I will definitely be going back to the store

These folks are by-far the best hardware store in town customer service & communication wise. They have been beyond impressive over covid 19 lockdowns, they have been an integral part of my contracting business & have earned my loyalty for a long time to come.

Fairly busy, had no stock of manure and peat moss, purchased plants and soil went to Canadian tire for what they didn't have. Staff were very idle and "lost". There we no carts unless you go collect them unsanitized. Staff were prepared with such scripts that it was painful to talk to them.

Service was excellent today, Chris offered his help loading heaving rocks into the cart and than into the car. Really appreciated his hard work, and he also quickly restocked the items we needed. Chris went above and beyond to help us out, really appreciated.

Curbside service is a joke. I'd give 0 stars if you could. Ordered Saturday 930 am morning a can of spray paint. Think the order has been picked yet? Tues still waiting. Mgmt of lowes, particularly at this store if they think this is good customer service or your order picking system is working, it's not. About time, you stop using the pandemic as an excuse to understaff your store. If a can of spray paint takes 3 days to clear your system. Your system is beyond broken. Shop elsewhere folks, I will be. Go to home hardware on weber st, took them an hr to fill the order and pick it.

In my opinion simply the best supplier in Kitchener, I've tried all in the region and this Lowes location is my only go to now. Unsurpassed customer service and price match, I've never had a bad experience.

The staff were incredibly helpful. I came with a bizarre lightbulb, and they helped me find the right replacement, and all with good humor. The store visit brightened my day figuratively and literally. Thank you.

Another terrible visit to loews. Self scanners weren't scanning any of my products, lady told me to locate all my items, take a picture to prove to pricing instead of asking a associate who is walking around doing nothing. Terrible customer service, I hope they wouldn't do this to elderly people.

A typical Lowe's. Staff can be sparse when looking for assistance. We have used the 'commercial counter' for deliveries and have had mixed experiences depending on who is working. It seems to be younger students that work the evening shifts. The cashiers on the commercial side are very efficient. The flow within the store can take you from one end of the store all the way to the other. We always end up walking A LOT inside the store whenever we shop there. Unfortunately, they seem to run out of sale items quickly.

Called the Waterloo Lowe’s (Boardwalk) to ask a simple Question. I wanted to know if there was a Military discount as online a lot of people were saying there was a 10%. The customer service lady who answered my call and my question was extremely RUDE and said only once a year and that she had no clue when it was but She also informed me the online and the stores are not connected at all which is fine that your store doesn’t give military discounts, it was how she spoke to me about it. I definitely think this store employee needs to trained better and learn how to be respectful to people while representing a company. This person also needs to learn to slow down talking while taking a customer service call call. I then went to Home Depot instead as her Rudeness was that upsetting.

I am currently painting my home so I went to buy paint so I chose a color from the olympics brand and one of the employees was kind enough to guide me to a cheaper and better brand of paint. He told me if I needed more I can come back and get the same shade. I went back the next few days in need of the same shade again but another employee was there. She treated me with disrespect but treated other customers nicely. She was very rude and was very unhelpful although I did nothing to make her act this way. She gave me paint that was a different shade which ruined my entire home design. I was very disappointed and hurt by the way she approached me in addition to the different shade of paint. I never come back there

Terrible customer service and management. Very unhelpful. They have attitude and care little about customers satisfaction in contrast to home depot and some other Lowes stores. Returning items is always a big hassle.

Absolutely the worst lowes or home improvement store I have ever seen. I have had numerous worst experiences in this store. I believe something is very wrong with the management of this store who has collected the least helpful staff who hate their job, have lots of internal problems and look at you like their enemy. The only thing that these people don't care about is customer satisfaction. I should repeat The only thing that these people don't care about is customer satisfaction. Yes, unbelievable! As another reviewer said "they are extremely lazy & could care less about anything". As other reviewers said "ordering product online for pickup at this location is awful". It takes forever they make ready your items. Returning stuff in this store is a nightmare. They falsely accuse you of using item and repacking it while when they sell it they dont care if the box is open or it looks used, rusted or even broken. If you want to see how a real no-hassle-return looks like try Home Depot but if you really need to buy something from lowes at least try Kitchener store. If you are not looking for headache, beware Waterloo store and these abominable people

I prefer this store to HD, HH, CT or Rona. When you need truck to deliver your bulky goods, you may rent it right in store. Very convenient. Prices sometimes get better too!

I had them at a 5 star. Because of today my opinion has changed. I don't even want to give the 1 star. This place was once my goto for any home repair items, appliances, outdoor furniture and so on. In the last year alone I've spent close to $20,000. I will no longer shop here or recommend this place. It's very sad its come to this. I'm that turned off of this place I'm even canceling my Lowes card. It's crazy that one manager who maybe is having a bad day, I don't know has caused this. Home depot will now be getting all my business.

Service is poor. Your lucky if you find the odd person who knows what they're talking about. I ordered a garage door in July that didn't arrive until October with missing parts. That is with me following up on a weekly basis and speaking to a different person every time. If you kbow want you want and take care of yourself it's not bad.

Very poor service. When to pick up the bar ceiling orders 2 weeks ago needed 115 4ft rail they brought it out all scratched not even wraped. They ended up giving me a $110 discount. I asked if they could wrap them ended up doing it my self they did not offer to help. Most aragent people ever. Took 6 of them to do a refund. Wouldn't even give them a one star

This place used to be my go to place. But the service has gone downhill and their prices have gone up and up. I have done a lot of Reno's and have owned a few properties, so I am aware of price. I am not very impressed anymore.and home depot is calling me more and more.

Nice store. On par with home Depot and Rona of course. Decent selection of tools. Somehow I still prefer the home Depot sunrise center. Had some valspar paint and primer in one. Didn't stick to the wall.

Online service registering for Extended Protection Plan (EPP) does not work. Tried Chrome, IE, and Firefox browsers on Windows/Linux.

New review:
My water heater was leaking gas, and it got covered by Lowe's EPP. I'm glad that I took EPP for 80$, otherwise I had to spend about 300$ for the service.

Why 3 stars still?
I had to call 4 different numbers to ultimately reach the person who is responsible to register my complaint and take necessary actions.

Ordering product online for pickup at this location is awful. You go to the online pickup sign, wait a while and then get the wrong product after emptying your wallet for the cards they need to verify the order that you have on your phone.

Online ordering is supposed to be SIMPLE. I spent 30 minutes in this store for three items. And two of them were completely wrong. I probably could have walked in the store, found my items on the shelf, paid for them and left 2-3 times in the time I spent doing it the "more convenient" way.
