Called in yesterday talked to cashier, said she had put both & freezer aside, went in today to say where it had to be delivered to. Bev very nice & helpful found both freezer & bbq had them rounded up & put into storage for assembly & shipping thanks Bev great job.

Does not answer their phones. I can understand maybe one department being busy, but not 5 plus customer service. Businesses who do not have the courtesy to answer their phones, really do not need us to spend our time going to their store.

Original: Staff are helpful - however, their parking lot does not have security cameras (my car was involved in a hit-and-run).

Update: I just called the phone number listed below (6/15/2023), and customer service had no clue why I would call them. They thought I was searching for something on Google. When I explained to them, their response was, "It doesn't make any sense". So when the respondent says they take these things "very seriously", that's clearly not true - they wrote that in the review to make everyone think they do.

Bought a fridge in a rush.the old one quit on a Sunday. They had what I wanted in stock and I received it in Tuesday. Bit of a shipping issue, which a manager, Eric resolved quickly. The delivery people were the best. Price was great too. Sam the salesman was knowalagable and very helpful, as were everyone we dealt with.

Bad experienced!
I've waited 40 minutes paint corner for mixing.
Pushed the call button bunch time but nobody showed up.

Bad management and ridiculous service.

Could not help but notice the parking for disabled customers is father from the entrance than the parking spaces reserved for customer pick-up. Suggest store management park in the disabled spot, put a small rock in their shoe, and then walk into the store until they find a power scooter. Also note there are no vehicles using the Customer Pick-up spots. Those few extra steps really matter to some people and I hope someone sees fit to resolve this issue.

Staff are very friendly. If your looking for appliances. Garry is your man, he is friendly and a super guy.

Great Lowes location. Very helpful staff on the floor, the customer service desk and the cash areas.

Great place! One of the employees helped me out with choosing lightbulbs for a bedroom lamp. The employees know their stuff! They educated me on what to look for and what to avoid. Did you know that compact fluorescent bulbs contain small amounts of mercury? I had no idea, and I’m glad I know now. I don't want that in my house, haha. The product works well! Thanks for the help!

Went to pick up a couple of pegboards for my garage, It showed online they had some in-stock but couldn't find any. Asked 3 different associates - two of them sent me in different (wrong each time) aisles whereas third one paged some other guy and told me to wait, I waited for a while at the same spot but nobody showed up. Eventually decided to move on & drove to Home Depot.

We are building a pergola and needed 6x6 post bases which were proving difficult to find. The stock online wasn't adding up to what was in store so after checking two Lowe's and failing, I wanted to call Ancaster before driving all the way there. I was lucky enough to be connected with Susan. She saw the online stock and went crazy looking for these post bases for me. She looked everywhere and was extremely helpful, but we concluded they didn't have them in stock. I ended up in Brampton later that day to pick them up. Well the following day, Susan called me to let me know she had 6 of them and could hold them for me! Fortunately I already picked up 6 from Brampton, but the fact that she went out of her way the following day to contact me was unlike any customer service I've ever experienced. I genuinely was smiling and could not believe she went so out of her way to help me get what I needed. You rock, Susan! Thanks a million!

Big, big store so preplan what you need to look at and avoid going around in Big, big circles!
All the stuff you would imagine at a hardware store of course, plus a big garden section and area for contractor pickup.

The parking lot is a bit crazy, they have lumber, landscape items & a small village of assembled sheds that make parking a bit of a treat but at least plenty of spots!
I don't find their prices any different from HD and to be honest I can barely tell one store from the other if it weren't for the color of all the displays and staff uniforms.

So if you're physically fit by all means, wander in.those easily winded or with walking issues I'd advise to pre-order for curbside or delivery.

Literally stood in the store for 30 minutes not a single hi, hello, can i help you nothing. The service today will bring my business elsewhere!

Got all my stuff on my own. No help or assistance asked. Just got looked at. Lol oh well. Love the store, great product

Staff went above and below to help solve our housing situation, and provided options that will help.

Bought 5 blinds a few weeks back at reduced price. Asked the associate that worked in that department if I could bring them back to get cut. His answer was yes then i asked if I could bring the 2 small ones back if they didn't fit his answer was of course. Went back today to get 2 big ones cut and return the 2 small ones as too short. Was told couldn't return them as they had put them on clearance for 5 dollars and weren't taking any returns starting today even though their associate had said yes. I guess you cannot trust Lowe's employees to know the policy. So if you are going to purchase anything there call for a manager and get their policies in writing or just avoid this store.

We recently renovated our kitchen. We bought everything from the lowes Ancaster store. We delt with Barbara in kitchens, she was always available and always happy to see us. Throughout our 2 month reno, any problems that we had encountered Barb was able to solve immediately. She consistently went above and beyond to make sure we we're happy.

I went in to buy a ceiling fan to replace the light fitting in my bedroom. I had no idea that I needed to replace the box. John was incredibly helpful in that he not only showed me the box, but how it needed to be installed and wired. He was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. As he described it, the last thing I needed was a 75lb 'surprise' landing in my bed at 3am and I am very glad of his advice. Thanks!

Can't stock their shelves especially the most common things. Shameful for a home improvement store. I stopped wasting my time going there. Sad to see it go down hill.

With friendly greetings from many departments while strolling by on a lazy Sunday morning, it set the entire tone for our shopping experience.
Whilst trying to answer my own question and reading a ceiling fan box, I was greeted by a darling older gentleman, who knew exactly what I was talking about.
He walked us straight to the product I needed and pointed out a few different options to choose from.
I walked away from that interaction happy and satisfied my home project would be how Ive pictured it.
It was right there that I vowed that I rather drive the extra few (25) miles just to shop at the Ancaster lowe's.

Haven't been here since xmas. Was kind of disappointed and surprised with tile, other flooring, bathroom cupboard selections on display. Only few things that I remotely liked.

The in-store employees told us a product we wanted was online only, so they couldn’t show us to an in store location for it. On the way out we came across a large selection of what we wanted.in store.

Well organized store, prices visible and stick is neat. The staff is very kind they show that they respect customers and make you feel valued.

Mike the store manager is one of the greatest people I have ever dealt with. I had clients that need a tub install next day. My local Lowe's had nothing in stock. Mike pulled out all the stops and got me those tubs delivered next day in the morning. And I'm in Brantford. Words can't express my gratitude and astonishment. Thank you Lowe's and thank you Mike!

I stopped in at Lowe's to pick up an item and browsed through the Christmas section, found lots of cute tree ornaments

I went to the Ancaster Lowe's and truly it was one of the best experiences I've had. Barb who works in kitchens and design answered all our questions, gave us things to think about and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. And for purchasing our applicable Sam and Sal were also super accommodating and informative. We have a budget and we were very honest and we were also met with honesty and transparency. Thank you for all your help!

On sale items.are often not in stock. They attract you to the store with sales and then tell you they do not have any stock left.

Ordered a shed from Lowes Ancaster and had a 3: 00 pm pick up time. Had to wait about 20 minutes before there was enough help to load shed into pick up. When we were more than half way through we ran out of screws. I contacted the store but they declined to give me enough screws to finish the shed. Although the supplier of the shed made the error I think Lowes could have helped replace the missing screws but they would not. Therefore we had to but screws to finish the shed. Totally disappointed!

Sal at appliances was great, took time showing and explaining different freezer we were looking. Thumbs up to the excellent customer service.

With the number of lock downs that we all had over the past year and a half i was disappointed in the performance of the curb side pick up. Now that things are opening up i hope they get back into the swing of things quickly. I will continue to shop there but certainly will be more critical moving forward.

The elderly woman came out to the parking lot to speak with me 2 times without bringing out my order. One bag of sand. She then informs me about my early arrival, explaining that they need at least 4 hrs to get an order ready for pickup not one. Asking for my phone number so I give it to her, she say that it is not correct. I give her my driver license, she goes that’s not good enough.and keep asking me about my phone number. I was ready to explode. How did this person got hired? Who pushed her trough the probationary period and why she still employed while she can barely walk. If you don’t accept my drivers license for proof of identity then what do you want from me? ! You degenerate.

First time back in a while. Got what I came for. No special deals. Staff helpful. Store not too crowded.

Worst online ordering and pick up service
Watched 5 cars come after me and get served slowly, so I called again they obviously forgot to bring my order a total wait time of 45min not impressed

Curb-side service entails extraordinarily long wait time following notification of arrival on premises even AFTER their system insists you reserve a pickup slot beforehand in the schedule.

I’m sticking with ‘Olde Orange’ on the other side of town.

Ordered my items and chose a pickup time. They emailed me it was available. Arrived, called in and waited 35 minutes. They couldn't find my order and had to shop in the store again. Lowe's doesn't have curbside pickup nailed after over a year. Last time I go there. Do yourself a favour and purchase from another store.

Excellent service at the contractors desk with Conor. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful with our large lumber order.

Attended an Interview in Lowes, Ancaster on March 5th 2021, I am a new immigrant (no parents & relatives here) and two small kids father, i can work morning 8am to 9pm, but Interviewer told me our time starts from 5Am to 10Pm, its a part time job.

Unfortunately i lost that job.

Walked in with 15 minutes until close. Greeted and looked after by staff member Rachel.

I use to go there! When they first open customer service was good! Not so good now from my expierience!

Just a little bit nicer than Home Depot but the Depot is closer.
Better selection of 4X8 panels here. Never seems very busy. Parking is easy.

I purchased an LG OTR from this store, Terry from appliances was very knowledgeable friendly and helpful

It is a good store for household goods and associates are very helpful, as for prices it is reasonable compared to other similar stores

Ordered a outdoor griddle online for my parents xmas gift. I was told it would arrive on the 11th it was a few days late. No big problem. Received a call that it was in but i missed the call. I called back 3 mins later and they had no clue about my order. Finally after searching every possible # they found my info. I went to pick it up that same day and again when i got there they couldnt find my info. Finally found it again and they brought it out all beat up. The box was all damaged. Luckily the bbq inside wasnt. Unfortunately we had to give my parents an ugly beat xmas gift

Next to nobody in the store. Had asked for a forklift to load dry wall. After 20nmins of waiting none showed to help. I ended up loading it all my self.

Everyone is always willing to help. They go above and beyond when you ask them any questions. Unlike other stores, they care about DIY projects and want to ensure your success.

Went to buy a Christmas tree and the only downside was the trees were wrapped up so you couldn't see their full shape

I was initially frustrated because I had to return an item that broke on it's first use but when I got to the store I was greeted by a knowledgeable and pleasant associate who helped me locate a better product, and walked me to the return counter where the service team quickly processed the exchange. Great experience. Thank you.

Just bought a Broan central vac got 20% off it was half the cost of a Beam with same performance specs!

Professionals don't waste your time. This is a Lowe's for homeowners. Half the time they are out of stock or they don't carry it at all. The only response I get repeatedly is " it's a small store" from the employees. I hate to say it but head to home Depot.

Visited the Ancaster Lowe's & Edward in Kitchens was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! He configured a kitchen best suited to our needs, unfortunately at the end of the day, it made more sense for us to go with another company. He made our Lowe's experience very enjoyable and would recommend Edward to anyone looking to do their Kitchen.

This location seems so disorganized in comparison to neighbouring cities. They also don't have the stock others do. Very disappointing considering it is a brand new store. Will go to the Brantford location instead.

Out of stock on the item I wanted but the staff was nice and helped me prepay for an item that was on the truck and would be available for pickup the next day. You could tell they were trying very hard but the store was obviously understaffed. I felt bad for the associates who were clearly being run ragged!

Customer service here is terrible. To price match Amazon is always a hassle. When it closes no one will be surprised and amazon will continue to deliver to our doorstep! I bought my husqvarna mower that stopped working with 11 months of purchase and they told me to contact the manufacturer, stand behind the brands you sell!

Excellent prices, service, and product! Purchased a ceiling fan today. The price offered were cheaper and very reasonable. The cashier was very friendly and helpful! I recommend this location.

I do like this store, however I prefer Home Depot for better selection and better business practices. For example, you have standard 'cards' for smart home items which are locked up for security purposes, but the number of cards on the shelf, does not actually reflect what you have in stock. I've bought and paid for items, only to find out after the purchase that they're not in stock. This is a bizarre system, and i'm sure the customer would love to know you're sold out before hand, rather than paying, then waiting while a manager refunds your purchase. Also, like home depot, your POS terminals do not accept tap-pay. Digital wallets are becoming a bigger thing so I hope you upgrade them in the near future.

Went in for a weed cutter and the only ones available we're on the top-shelf. The staff were extremely helpful in getting this down for us in a timely fashion and are generally very friendly when available to help you.

I had an issue with paint I purchased at the Ancaster store. I returned it the next day expecting some form of compensation. The paint department and customer service were of no help, they suggested I contact the paint manufacturer. I'm disappointed that a big box store wouldn't stand behind the products they sell, especially one day after purchasing. I purchsed more paint at Home Depot, if I have a problem with it I'm confident their excellent paint department will look after me.

I couldn't find the hardware i wanted but they have almost everything for home furnishings and repairs
