Very disappointing. We ordered takeout on a Saturday, the food was not fresh and was room temperature. The lemon chicken was not edible - so gross!

My husband and I went in for the buffet at around 6pm. The food was practically inedible; I had the chow main noodles and they were cold and stuck together, the fish was soggy and cold, the only thing that was good were the chicken balls in which they only had 10 of.
They never came out at all to fill the foods or anything like that for the whole hour we were there. The staff came out to grab some food for themselves and ate in the back ignoring us, with us needing refills on our drinks and plates piling up on our table side.
This is definitely not worth the $40 or more depending on which day you go. Will not be going again, we left very disappointed and disgusted.

We ordered on New Years. I use to live in Toronto. This was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Everything was covered in oil. All of the different meats tasted very bland. The beef in the lo mein was inedible. The short ribs were cooked fine but were not fresh. The only thing that was fine was the chicken balls. I’ll take a hard pass on eating here again

Buffet is back, and well done! Decent selection on a real steam table, so the food is good and hot! 2 adults, buffet, a drink each, tip in for a total of $60. Good value.

First time ordering take out from Lucky Kitchen and it was absolutely the best Chinese food we've had in years! We'll definitely be back. Thank you Lucky Kitchen!

Generous take-out portions (dinner for six). Ready promptly and nice and hot. Each dish had a nice flavour. The chicken balls were NOT greasy (the cardboard carton they came in was nearly pristine.)

Prices are not what they say on the website. Even though it's been updated. They told me it's all new prices.

Not great. The General Tao chicken was spongy and mushy, the rice hand the egg rolls had little to no flavor. Which is super weird for a Chinese restaurant. Cream cheese wontons were good, but thats the only thing I liked out of our entire order. I appreciate the 5 to 10 minute wait time, but maybe spend more time preparing and the food wouldnt taste rushed. Wouldnt come back here again.

The food was delivered an hour over what we were told. Food wasn't very hot due to the delay and probably won't order there again!

Really good Chinese food some of the best I ever had I would eat there again if it were closer to where I am living now.

Good food, easy pickup and ordering. We did meal for 6, overall food was tasty. The spare ribs had a great flavour (Ginger perhaps?) which was nice. We'll order again. Glad to support local restaurants!

This is a high rating because of the service great food for the price very quick to be ready if your in a rush and big potions definitely making my go too in St thomas.

We love most of their food however ordering over the phone is a bit challenging with a lot of miscommunication.

Wow, This is the best Chinese food in St. Thomas!

This is our first time ordering from lucky kitchen and I have to say we love it! The food is delicious, they give a big amount so you are full and the price we good for what we got.

Takout was quick, but food was flat, lacking any significant flavor. Szechuan beef and General Tao chicken not spicy.

Ordered delivery for my parents and it took over an hour to arrive, when it did it was cold. The crispy wontons were not crispy and slightly underdone, sweet and sour sauce was watered down, and had a general "didn't taste right" and fishy flavour to the chop suey and fried rice. Would not reccomend nor order again.

Just ordered from Lucky Kitchen today for the first time. All I gotta say is delish! Everything arrived hot and fairly promptly. I would definitely order from them again!

The food was good, however we were starving due to the slow delivery. It took twice as long as we were told. From left to right; Sweet & Sour Pork, Beef with Mixed Vegetables and Vegetable Soft Noodles.

Takeout was fast and friendly. My food was hot and fresh. If you are new to town and looking for Chinese food I would definitely try Lucky Kitchen first.

Very good food on the buffet. The price is very good for the selection. Dessert is an obvious last thought, but you go for the buffet food.

Great local buffet. The owners are very nice. The food was pretty good, and the prices were also very nice. $18.00 for an adult dinner time buffet.

Staff happy friendly, but same old same old. Nothing new, just thrown together. I want to be impressed

The food was ok the restaurant was not busy but the food could have been a little fresher. The service was good and they were very polite.

My wife and I have gone to the buffet 3x since August 2019, and really haven't been disappointed. The first time, the buffet had only been open for 2 days, and that being said, the food was hot and fresh (aside from the fried rice, was a little dried out and bland) but for only being the second day of the buffet operating, we left full, and happy. Second visit was in early September, buffet had improved somewhat, again except the fried rice which wasn't as dry, but still very bland. Peppered beef was amazing, as was most everything else, including the wonton soup! Third visit, late September, restaurant was busy, buffet was looking good, salad bar had improved, food was delicious, did I mention the peppered beef? , Still amazing! Everything had improved 10 fold, except the darn fried rice! It was piping hot, had what looked like a bag of frozen peas, corn and carrots mixed in, which is fine with me, but it has no taste! Was bland. Could not taste sesame oil, nothing. Hopefully they improve the rice, but other than that, it's been a decent experience price wise, and never left hungry ever. Keep up the good work Lucky Kitchen!

Very poor service. Ignorant employees and always gets our order wrong. Instead of them trying to please their customers they try to make u pay more money. Horrible place. Be prepared to have food poisoning.

I went for the buffet around 12 noon.
The food was hot. I thought it was very good.
They had 2 soups, hot and sour and wonton. Both where excellent. I liked the egg rolls.

My favorites where the mushrooms and the pepper steak and mixed veggies. Also the Buffett was super cheap. I paid under $15 for that and a can of pop.

I didn’t care much for the chicken balls. I thought they where too doughy. Pop is served by the can so no refills. Plates where kind of small, but really that’s just me being nit picky for the sake of an honest review.

All and all this place exceeded my expectations.
It’s just a tiny Buffett in St. Thomas. Not a lot of options but there where lots of things I like. I wouldn’t try to bash it too much. Come on guys this isn’t the Mandarin. We are lucky to have it and once it’s gone we might never get another buffet again. They are not as popular as they once where. I don’t know how or if they are making a profit.

I recommend trying it. I will go back for sure.

Popped in with some family for a late (7pm) dinner and tried the buffet. Affordably priced and everything was very fresh.

New owners made a huge change in the place.

My roomate and I decided we both would try their new buffet (which btw looked amazing.) It wasn't until I found a piece of plastic or metal in chicken wing. I showed the waitress and had asked her what that was. She then showed the kitchen staff. Not once did I get an answer nor did I did i get an appology nothing. I thought they would've tried anything to rectify the situation. I paid for my meal and left! I didn't even think about taking a picture of it. Such a disappointing experience.

Ordered a combination plate. Small portions. They gave me pork when I ordered chicken, all the food was super oily and I ended up getting sick. When I called they told me to bring the food back the next day for a refund, since it was close to close which was fine by me. The next day I went back, and they told me they would give me $2 off on a new meal.

Really? I told them I drove 30 minutes one way, and brought the food back like they requested and didn't want any food. I thankfully ended up getting money back, and 100% will never eating there again. Go to Lucky Garden on Princess instead.

Food was not good and hardly warm. Order took over 1.5hrs to come when we were told 40min. No communication on it being Delayed. Lady laughed when I told her I had to make a separate dinner for my daughter becuase it took so long.

I don't know how many how long you have to let cooked chicken sit out between cookings to get it rock hard and still not over golden. I couldn't stab even one of the pieces. I bet this place would fail a health inspection

New to St. Thomas - tried Lucky Kitchen on June 14 2019.
Worst Chinese food that i have ever tried eating - wasted $95!
Food was gross - most of the dishes were badly overcooked - what wasn't overcooked was mushy and tasted like all the fried food was cooked in the same pan!
Will never never go there again - live and learn.

They seem to have gone down hill! My chicken fried rice was soooooo over cooked it was so chewy and chicken balls were the same. I wouldn't recommend this place now

Stay away! Food was ok.but who i ordered from was very difficult to talk to and made me wait while she answered the phone after already starting my order.then gave me a hard time about asking for extra packets of sauce for the egg rolls.ordered 4 egg rolls she was upset i wantes 2 packets of sauce per roll.dont waste your time

Best breakfast in Lucky Kitchen Chen. They serve my orders very quick and fast, the staff is friendly and prices are very fair. Mr. Yuan is great man and very kind person I mate ever.

Was not happy.the quality of the food has deteriorated since our last visit. Pad Thai tasted and looked like noodles in sweet and sour sauce.a sloppy mess. General Tao chicken. No spice or flavour just a sticky sweet sauce. "Shrimp" in black bean sauce.mostly peppers.very few shrimp. Had to ask for spoons to serve the food. Dishes all arrived at separate times. I suspect this restaurant won't last long as I heard the only other people in the restaurant asking what the food was that they had been served. Very disappointing

Tonight I got take out. I Ordered sesame chicken and got a spicy chicken, not entirely sure what. I didn’t get my drink, asked for chop sticks and didn’t get any. The lo mein was “okay”, and the wonton soup had good wontons in it but the fried wontons were pretty much all noodle. At least they threw in extra fortune cookies, but I Hope my future contains what I ordered next time.

Liked it better before the changes. Fried rice was dry with no veggies. Chicken chop suey flavour was totally different. I'm going to miss eating there.

Poor service, wrong order, no take-out bowls for soup, same poor quality greasy food under different name.

Originally my rating was 5 Stars but after ordering takeout over the weekend for pickup. My rating has dropped we ordered 5 items only to find when returning home there was only 4 items in the sealed bag so we were down $10. Unfortunately it does seems the quality, quantity and service has dropped which is a real pitty. As Chen's used to be the best Chinese in St Thomas by far. We won't be using it again.

Use to like this place, haven't had it in awhile so we ordered some today. What we picked up was nothing that we ordered, come to find out it's under different ownership. They offered us 10 % off our next order. I dont think so. We dont like what we originally got and you think 10% will cover it? Nope, not going back. Its garbage.
