Lucullus Bakery

I go here for the ambience and decor. Food is good too and drinks are alright. They have a patio too for a summer evening coffee.

I made a special trip to buy it. The bread was mediocre and the taste was not that good. I ate half of the cheese tart and immediately developed prickly heat on the tip of my ankle. It has not healed after four days. Will not go again.

Saw a cockroach crawling on the display glass and turned right around and went home.would never eat here.

I recently visited this bakery, and I must say, I was extremely disappointed. The pastries I ordered were dry and tasted like they had been sitting out for days. The customer service was horrible; managment seemed disinterested and didn't even apologize for the poor quality of the products. I won't be returning to this bakery, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious treat.

Michel’s had way better service and goods. I truly miss it, what this new establishment has done since taking over is completely atrocious and sacrilegious to everything a bakery stands for.

The bakery had a wide selection of breads and pastries. We tried the mango mochi, milk tea and some buns. The mango mochi was large and had a nice texture. There were fresh mango chunks inside but also butter which I didn’t enjoy. The milk tea was very authentic with a strong tea flavour.

We tried their egg tarts which is supposed to be one of their signature pastries, it is disappointing. The shell is not puffy, no egg taste, sounds like a result from mass production. Lucullus past generation has few signature pastries, people would line up for them. But the new stores seem to be lacking attractions, don't know what good they are now.

The only good thing about this bakery are some of the people still working here from Michel's bakery that used to be open before Lucullus took over. New staff is rude, slow and disorganized. Coffee and baked goods are mediocre at best.

Highly overpriced. 30 bucks for a few pastries and coffees. Food is nothing special and better can be had at Asian supermarkets ready made food areas and even cheaper! Some of the customers are super trashy, saw a woman bring food to her table and touch it and put it back. Noticed several other possible health violations.

Lovely and cozy place with a lot of delicious baked goods and really good coffee. This place is amazing to relax a little bit or read something with a good coffee

Management is horrible and deceptive. I worked here when this café first opened and got 'fired' because I brought up safety concerns during ‘training’ shifts- they weren’t training shifts, we were put to clean up after the contractors and the managers just watched us. Stone Yu (the manager) told me that I "shouldn't tell a boss how to run a business" and that I was never hired in the first place because I never signed any papers. Some of their furniture (the white cushion chairs) are really dirty and stained and honestly, the food at Saint Germain Bakery downstairs is better and cheaper. The only positive thing I can think of about this place is the coworkers I had who are extremely nice.

There are polite and friendly baristas and staff.
The place is clean with a patio.
Cakes and croissants are delicious.

I am not a fan of the drinks (Matcha and Hot chocolate in oat milk) I have chosen by now.

I meet a silent cashier today at the store. When I asked about the "Fat C Lady discount" with cash, she is silent with a blank face. I have to double check if she hear me. After she total the bill she is silent and look at me with a blank face, then I realized that I have to look at the tiny screen on the machine to see how much is the total. The screen is very small and being an old lady I can't see it clearly. I think letting the customer know what is the total bill with voice is something basic or maybe the world have changed and I am being trained to deal with a robot cashier.

Came here as a family with small kids. It’s a spacious cafe with good atmosphere for families so I like that, and the food is alright. The service was rather unfriendly. We bought food and several drinks, then we asked for a plastic cup so that my kids could taste each other’s drinks. The lady at the cashier said it’s a $1 extra charge for a paper cup. Okay no worries. I asked if I could borrow the ceramic coffee mug instead since we were dining in. She said that’s also a $1 charge to use. I explained that it’s just so my kids could share juice and she refused many times saying it’s company policy and she’s not in charge.
Later when I picked up my drink I asked the barista if I could simply borrow a ceramic coffee mug and then return it, he said yeah of course no hesitation. So I’m not really too sure about the “company policy” or what’s going on. But I was just glad that he was acting like a kind person, and not a robot following strict rules in a restaurant

No idea of customer service! They charge $1 for a glass of tap water. Mall should get rid of them

Premium bakery goods. My favorites that I have tried so far were definitely the meat croquettes and the strawberry shortcake. The croquettes were crispy and slightly warm, and the strawberry shortcake was not too sweet. I would definitely recommend trying this place out!
