Amazing experience here for wedding dress alterations! Great location (lots of paid street parking). Highly recommend making an appointment! They do many types of alterations as well. They're incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. The price estimates are very reasonable as well, given how much experience they have and how talented they are! Lucy’s are the most wonderful seamstresses around. I purchased a second hand wedding dress that needed its mods and they were able to make it come true. They made the changes I requested alongside using their surplus of knowledge to let me know how they can make things work. THE BEST DRESS SHOP EVER! These sisters are unbelievably talented! I bought my dress at David's bridal and after 3 years, a pandemic, and 40 lbs, they worked MAGIC! These awesome ladies took my dress out all the way to the seams and added a corset back so it fit like a glove! They also changed the neckline and made it a beautiful sweetheart style for me! They work quickly, efficiently, and created my perfect dream dress! They also hemmed and adjusted my mother's blue dress so it fit her perfectly! They also helped my mother in law find and order a new dress when the dress she ordered online arrived about 10 sizes too big. Her dress arrived in the perfect size in about a week or so!

Long story short, these awesome sisters were essential for the success of my wedding and how gorgeous we all looked! If you have any sort of event to go to, go see them! You'll be GORGEOUS!

Outstanding customer service by Ban and Eman, these two charming ladies took my dresses to be altered for my son's rehearsal dinner and wedding reception, and even made a chiffon shawl with darts to match one dress. Beautiful invisible stitching and magic happened to alter the impossible making it possible. I will never go to anyone else in my lifetime for alterations, i have never walked into an establishment and felt so welcome comfortable and like family, Lucy and her sister are top tier theres no body else like them, i have goosebumps writing my review because i am speechless how satisfied and happy she made me on my wedding day, God bless you?

We encourage local businesses and understand the importance of supporting such businesses. However, an abysmal service is just not acceptable. We were told that the dress we selected is available, so we drove down 2.5 hours to visit the boutique. After we arrived, the dress style was suddenly sold out, moreover no one was there to assist us and staff rushed us because they were about to close (although they still had about an hour to close). We finally found a dress but then their alteration prices were so very high that we had to say no.

At first glance we did not think that there were many dresses but then we realized that there are many options in the back, as well as a wealth of options in catalogs. Many dresses were provided to my daughter so she could get an idea of what suited her. They were very patient and supportive and in the end my daughter found the prom dress of her dreams

Ban and Eman did a fantastic job on altering my wedding dress! They did major work on it to bring the front of the dress together, to take in the hips area and shorten the dress. Their work is like magic since I couldn’t tell that the dress had been cut at all! Also I had bought sleeves fabric from the shop where I bought my dress but unfortunately that lace didn’t match the lace on my dress. Eman was able to take the extra lace from the alterations to make matching sleeves for me! Their attention to detail is unparalleled and it was a great experience working with them. They made sure the shop was not busy when I came in so that I could get the best experience and make sure that my delicate dress would not be stepped on. They weren’t satisfied with their work until it was perfect. I highly recommend Lucy’s for any alterations, especially if you have a beautiful dress that requires perfection!

I have taken a few dresses to Ban and the team at Lucy's, and each time has been a wonderful experience! She knows what she is talking about, and gives fair pricing on the work that has to be done. I knew after the first bridesmaid dress I took to her turned out perfectly that I would be bringing her my own wedding dress, and she did not disappoint. The first visit she pinned and adjusted everything, and when I went in 2 weeks later it was done, perfect. We were also able to rent a crinoline from her instead of buying one, which saved us money and time. When I brought my bridesmaids dress for my sister's wedding in, Ban went above and beyond to make sure it was done on time and with care, even giving me a tip to seal my sparkly shoes

After deciding to come back to Canada from Australia and moving my wedding up I was struggling to find someone to alter my dress with a very short timeline.

I am so overjoyed that I found Lucy’s. The sisters are so incredibly knowledgeable and personable! My alterations were absolutely perfect, the dress fit perfectly and she even hid the buttons for the bustle so they were not noticeable at all.

Ban did loving repairs to a coat I recently brought to her. It was a hand woven coat given to me by a friend who could no longer wear it. She had not only woven the fabric but had also shorn the sheep, carded, and spun the wool. Ban did all the repairs by hand knowing how special this coat is. She is an excellent seamstress who can be trusted with your finest treasures!

I used to come here for my kid's uniform alterations for years. They grew up and I no longer needed Lucy's as often. It had been well before covid since I had been in. I recently showed up with a few things and one very complicated item. As usual Lucy welcomed me with open arms. Took in my items including the one she probably didn't want to take and handed me my slip. Today I went to pick up my things. I didn't even notice the "closed" sign & rang the bell. She came to the door despite being closed and again with that big smile welcomed me & gave me my things which of course were handled with expertise and look great. I've been going there for probably 15 years and she is the best. Never has disappointed. Hard working and great at what she does!

What a fantastic store!

When I first booked my appointment they were BEYOND nice and accommodating. They moved around their schedule to make sure I was able to come in. I had a very specific date and time crunch and they made it work. While on the phone they also gave me some fantastic wedding advice and timelines for a dress, who to bring and when. PLENTY of information.

I had gone in with both my mother and mother in law to look for a wedding dress and they were ready as soon as we stepped in. Having had no luck the previous day, I had felt discouraged to continue shopping. The ladies within this store were so kind and asked really insightful questions to understand my style. What was different from them to the previous bridal boutique we had went to, was that they started selecting dresses after I provided feedback. Not selecting dresses they thought I would like. They LISTENED. Not once did I feel judged for how I felt if I liked or didn't like parts of specific dresses and after 4 dresses they pulled out the one I ended up choosing. THEY found and selected it. I didn’t have to. It was magical.

My mother in law picked up my dress for me a few weeks later and they had taken such care and detail to ensure it was flawless. Even sewed in some blue for good luck. I have a few more fittings and alterations before the big date next year and feel in very good hands with them. I came in feeling lost and left saying yes.

My experience with Eman and Lucy's Bridal was exceptional. The wedding dress I purchased 2 years ago did not fit after 3 wedding postponements and some extra weight during COVID.

The ladies were with me every step of the way taking out seams to make the dress fit, and then bringing them all back in when I lost the weight for the wedding. They were patient, kind and encouraging.

I even bought a beautiful veil to compliment my wedding dress there at a very affordable price.

The pricing was very reasonable and the flexibility and craftsmanship was unbeatable.

Amazing experience having my wedding dress altered at Lucy’s boutique! To say I was anxious about leaving my dress in someone’s hands to alter it is an understatement, but at Lucy’s every single detail (no matter how big or small!) was considered and my mind was put at ease. I am extremely detail oriented so when I noticed a few things were not EXACTLY like I wanted they were instantly attentive and fixed it and made it even better than I expected! “Good enough” is not the standard, “it must be perfect! ”. So pleased with everything and also the pricing is unbeatable. I had a quote for someone else for double what I paid at Lucy’s, and they suggested ways I could save even more money rather than charging me for more work! Just make you leave enough time for a second fitting should you need it. Lucy’s masks are beautifully made and fit perfectly with ideal 3 layer coverage. I have three of her masks and enjoy wearing each one. They are very comfortable with easily adjustable soft elastic for around your ears and a nose piece you can mould perfectly to give a snug fit. Lots of colours and patterns to choose from. I have finally found a mask that fits. Thanks Lucy!

Had an amazing experience at Lucy's Boutique and Alterations for my wedding dress. I walked out with my dress this past week and it looks better than I had ever imagined!

I bought my dress without knowing that there were some missing buttons. Ban with hey eye to detail caught the error. Unfortunately the bridal shop was not willing to honour me with the missing buttons. Ban of course saved the day and went out and find buttons that matched perfectly!

Ban saved my wedding day! With 3.5 weeks until my wedding day my dress needed some major alterations done! Keep in mind my dress had already been "altered" by the boutique i purchased it from and it cost me over $900. The dress was altered poorly but I did not want to go back to adjust as they told me it would cost me more money. So, I took my dress to Lucy's and immedialty Ban said she would save my dress and not break my wallet. AND SHE WAS RIGHT! My dress was very intricate and is fully covered in sequins. 1.5 weeks later I went in to try the dress and it was almost perfect.last minute I decided this dress needed to be strapless SO that is exactly what Ban did. Within just a few hours Ban transformed my strapless unfitting dress into the strapless DRESS OF MY DREAMS! Thanks to Ban I had the most amazing dress I could have ever possibly dreamed of. This was the second time I’ve come here and both experiences have been amazing. I bought and altered my Grade 8 grad dress four years ago and Bhan did an amazing job with the alterations. My sister also bought her confirmation dress here this year and Bhan was so helpful in changing it to how she wanted it. She has an awesome selection and is so helpful and caring. I bought a very expensive prom dress online and it was too big and I was so worried for my prom, but I brought it to Bhan and she fixed it up so nicely. Totally worth every penny I paid. It was such a hard dress to alter, with so many jewels all over it I was surprised at how awesome of a job Bhan did on it. Truly the best place I know in Oakville and I recommend to anyone! Purchased my daughter's prom dress at Lucy's and it was a 5 star experience from the start! At first you may think that it is only an alteration shop but she has a limited but beautiful selection of dresses with many more styles and selections to choose from by ordering. The dress came in within weeks and the alterations were done quickly and professionally perfect. Be sure to check out this hidden gem for formal and bridal wear. There is also a children's section. The prices are very reasonable compared to larger stores and the service is impeccable!

They have beautiful gowns here including bridal as well as the portion of their business where they do alterations. I came here because of many recommendations for this place and they were right. I came in with a dark spring jacket and didn't like the white lapel and wanted it changed as well as taking it in down the side and getting rid of the gathered bottom. She did a fantastic job and I've since brought in other things to be altered as well! Both ladies are very friendly and easy to talk to. My work done seemed slightly expensive but you get what you pay for and you want to know that you don't need to worry about the outcome and that is the case here. I highly recommend them!

Lucy (I'm assuming) was able to shorten a difficult hem with sequins and bead work and she recommended adjustments to take the sleeves from dowdy to fabulous. The price was excellent for sewing by hand. I noticed they carry gala dresses, jewelry, clutches, evening capes (including rentals), bras for backless and low cut dresses. I'll definitely go back!

I came upon Lucy’s Dressmaking and Alterstions quite by chance, on my way to lunch on Kerr Street. I paused briefly to look at their very attractive dresses in the showcase.
