Lula Lounge

Authentic aesthetic and amazing concept for sure but the mic’s on the entertainment seriously need to be turned down and the menu needs a do over. Latin food is DELICIOUS and cheap to make I don’t see why there aren’t more offerings.

First time here. Loved the atmosphere. Went for the Caribbean Mix Tape show which was fabulous!
The service was outstanding. I will definitely go back but not to eat unless the food ramps up. I admit I'm a bit of a foodie but I dont think it's hard to make simple food tasty. The guac was boring and the portion was sad. My husband had chicken which was good. My pork was tasteless I even wonder if it was seasoned. There was a dribble of peach compote.
The portions were good but.

A fun spot to spend the night with friends/family for great hispanic music, flair and culture. Drinks are unique and strong. Food was average. Lots of salsa and bachata dancing!

I have to give Lula Lounge 5 starts. I celebrated my 40 birthday here and had an amazing experience from beginning to end. I'm Latina so I've been here a couple of times for dancing but first time for the dinner package. I also invited friends from work, none of them Latin and we all had a great time. They truly made my day special. Thank you!

All the staff were incredibly rude and pretentious. I just went in to pick up my take-out order and they treated me like I was dirt on the bottom of their shoes. No respect for their customers.

We love coming to Lula lounge every other month. It’s a guaranteed great night of dancing and excellent live music! We wish the upstairs lounge was always open as it provides seating options for a night full of dancing especially for people who don’t have a food reservation to go have a drink. Without the upstairs lounge, it makes it more difficult to enjoy the whole experience without feeling crammed. We had dinner once and the food was pretty disappointing. However, the music, space and people make it such an incredible night out!

The place is beautiful! Everyone from security, the hostess and the servers were super nice. The music is amazing, the live band is amazing, the vibe is amazing and the food is good! I plan to have an event here soon.

The famous Lula Lounge, I went here recently for a special date, and I'll recommend going for bigger groups, solo, or just to dance.

Food: 3/5 for Fri/Sat nights, for $69 you get a three course meal, plus access to the show at night (typically $30). This is a pretty good deal, but the food was okay. If you are in a big group like bachelorette parties I saw, it is a great time. For more intimate, I recommend going somewhere before and then heading to Lula Lounge.
Waiters were great, and friendly.

Atmosphere/Entertainment: 5/5 This is the main reason you come to Lula, the show and dancing.
The free dance lesson included in your show ticket, while not very instructional, was great.
The artists include some of the very best Latin artists of Toronto. Bring your dancing shoes, have a cerveza and enjoy the show.

Great music venue. Decent beer choices, esp Henderson's which walking distance away. Lots of great liquor choices too. Drawback is the food - mediocre at best. Will eat prior next time.

Salsa band are almost same and so lala. The band plays salsa and DJ play also mostly salsa so is boring! Generally, they need a another dj. FOOD, l ate only once so wasn't my thing and was so little amount so l had to order another dishes

A great spot for date night!
The ambiance was lively, DJ was LIT! The salsa lesson was fun! Live band was a HIT! I loved the sequence in which they had the salsa lesson, the DJ spinning, and then the live band, back to the DJ and then the live band! The energy and vibe of the place was so vibrant! The place looked elegant and the experience was really memorable. Highly recommend if you love reggaeton, salsa, and just want to dance the night away!

Sooooooo, let's from the beginning. We get there at 7: 23pm we check our jackets and wait 40mins for water and to place an order for drinks. We got our first of two drinks 30mins later and then finally placed our food and second drink order after 9pm. I'm currently not impressed, however, the band is giving me some life. Our food arrives and it's blane, I'm currently at home making something to eat after spending almost $300 for two people and 4 drinks. Joke is, that's not even what's causing me to give this venue a 1 star rating. This moment I had trying to get my jackets back is. So I handed the gentleman at coat check 4 tickets for 4 jackets. He came back with six (6) random jackets. I said those aren't mine and he tried to insist that they are. My friend and I told him these aren't our jackets. So he moved them to the side, and tried again. He came back with my jacket, my friends, best friend and said ok that's it. I said there are 3 jackets and there needs to be 4. He said that is it. I asked him to count with me and told my friend to get my wife so she can confirm her jacket. When my wife came downstairs the gentleman at coat check said the manager is coming to speak to me about the missing jacket. I'm still waiting to speak with a manager. My wife went behind the coat check as they couldn't find her jacket. She found her jacket in a cubby hole when we saw them place it on a hanger and put it on a rack. How did it get in a cubby hole with no tag and no hanger? Conclusion, someone was trying to steal her $900 jacket. We left with no apology and no conversation from any manager. I will never go back to Lula lounge again.

Cool place to spend night with friends and family. The food are good and music atmosphere are so joyful.

You would expect a place like this to not SCAM you. Rum punch was $12.83 on the menu and when my friends ordered it at different times throughout the night they got charged anywhere between $17-19. And each time we asked we were told the prices have increased, the menu is old.

Attended a private event last night put on by jazzFM and saw Caity Gyorgy. I’m surprised by all the negative reviews. I thought the food was pretty good although the service was a bit slow. The venue works well for live music and is a little hidden gem in my opinion.

The experience was great since the singers and ambiance was good however except for the dessert I didn’t like the main or the appetizers a lot for the price that I paid!

Thank you so much! We celebrated my moms 81sr birthday and honestly it was so amazing. My mom had such an amazing time with family and the show was so entertaining. The service (thank you Sam ️) the show and the smile on my mama face was everything. 5. I would absolutely recommend, thank you for such a memorable day

I believe this place deserves 2.5 stars at most but I’ll be nice. The food wasn’t worth the price - it was too expensive and poorly done. The steak was gummy and the chicken was bitter. The desserts were the best part. We ordered all the appetizers off the menu but none were made to share. The service was okay - most of the staff were lost when we requested something or forgot our orders. We requested that the band played happy birthday for the birthday girl, but it wasn’t coordinated with the cake and the band pointed to someone completely different in the audience on the opposite side of the room. Cover is typically very expensive but the music is good so I’d only recommend this place for dancing.

The wife and I came for the dinner, dance lessons and, of course, the live music and dancing.
The food was awesome, the music/band was stellar and the entire experience was incredible.
We were served by Dave and Santiago who really made us feel welcome.
You won’t be disappointed here!

This place negligently loud. You can not hear the person next to you, the server, or yourself. They know they’re this loud and had an empty ear-plug vending machine. This is coming from a group of 20-somethings, I would never recommend anybody go here. I feel terrible for the staff, they must all have permanent hearing loss

Nice fun place! The bands are good, but the acoustics need an upgrade.
Would not recommend if you’re interested in catching some good live music, unless you don’t care about the sound. The place has a nice vibe and cocktails are good.

The food was alright for the price. The music was good when it was from the DJ but once the band started playing it was INCREDIBLY LOUD! I COULD NOT ENJOY THE MUSIC!
I honestly could not hear my friend screaming right into my ear and he could not hear me when I was screaming in his ear.
We left about 20 minutes after the band started playing. I would never go again if the band sound level is not lowered because my eardrums were literally hurting and ears were ringing when I left.
As a side note: there is an Ear Plug Vending machine downstairs near the coat check. So they do know it's too loud and they're selling earplugs as a solution? Instead to turn down the music.

We came to LULA Lounge with some friends for an evening of live Greek music.

We had dinner reservations which included guarantee seating with a prix fixe menu, on top of the price for the event ticket.

The ambiance was lively and cozy. The seating arrangement allowed for good visibility of the stage (depending on your position). The sound was well balanced, not too loud and clear.

The food was actually much better than anticipated with very tasty and satisfying portions. The cocktails were pretty good too.

Overall, the staff was friendly and attentive.

Exceptionally bad food for the exceptionally high price. I would truely never eat here again.

Loved the atmosphere, service were 'pretty" descent, nothing out of the ordinary. The live performance (band and singer) killed it! (they deserve a 5 star) Despite all of that, I find myself never wanting to come back to Lula Lounge as I was served probably the worst meal I have ever paid for. The Food was not fresh, cold and had very small portions. The first course only took about 20mins, whereas the main dish took over 45mins and was completely disappointing. Finally the desert, witch was as expected. Me and my party left very hungry and unsatisfied. As much as I appreciated the atmosphere, that with the 3 course meal did not live up to its value. The meal is marketed with experience of the live music and band.it should live up to the atmosphere just as much! And for the hefty price you pay, I expect better.

Was second time there. The live performance (band and singer) were superb. Love the vibe there. Food were very good, had tacos, Birria Consome, Jalapenos Toredos.
