Lume Kitchen and Lounge

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in here. No need to go downtown to get a fancy, young, fun dining experience. Service was lovely and the food was all excellent. Between the 8 of us we tried most of the menu. Highly recommend baked oysters, Cubano, beet salad, Flatbread pizza and table favorite was the polenta fries! The octopus looked amazing! Rana, our server, was very kind and inquisitive into our needs. Great experience overall truly! The only thing that lacked was some sort of customer appreciation for the birthday, no dessert or sparkler or drink or anything for the birthday girl.

This was my second time at Lume, second time did not disappoint! The food is absolutely delicious and portions are great for sharing. Everything we’ve had so far was fantastic.
Our “ dining service expert”…I can’t just call her our waitress or server because she was more than that, Rana, was absolutely fantastic! She’s so knowledgable about the food, provided great recommendations, and very accommodating for any requests that you may have.
This is the second time we’ve had Rana, and the first time she was just as amazing. Will be back soon!

Was seated on the patio and waited 15 minutes with no server coming to us - place was not very busy. First time ever we have left a restaurant without ordering - very disappointing.
Edit: the general manager contacted us the same day after leaving this review to apologize and offered to make it up to us - while we don't live in the area and probably won't make the trip back, bumped up the rating for the effort despite the poor experience as hopefully this was just a one off.

My husband and I came to Lume with our baby and friends and had such a great experience! The staff were so friendly and on point, the owner even came out to ensure everything was up to par. The food and drinks were also great, and the ambiance was awesome both indoors and outdoors. We can’t wait to revisit this new neighborhood gem.

Very nice place, well decorated, good service, clean and nice music. Food was great! The flat bread was delicious and the polenta fries amazing. Ask for a side of the spicy spice, it’s made in house and very tasty. Definitely will be back.

We had ordered Lamb Shank or something and after 30 min of waiting they come and tell us we had a big order and had to give lamb to them. They preferred another patron over us. They need to learn basics of service.

From the second I sat down Arezo was a delight. Was very informative, gave great recommendations and was super attentive which I appreciated. The food was phenomenal but her service is the reason I'll be returning.

Came in for my mothers birthday last Wednesday and had a great time. Food and drinks were good but Rana was a fantastic server! Definitely made the experience fantastic for us.

We had a lovely brunch experience at Lume. We wanted to have brunch before our Cirque show and this ended up being the perfect spot. Everyone loved their food, and the atmosphere was really nice. The service was also excellent - our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I'll definitely return when I'm back in the area.

They have a simple and to the point menu and each dish on the menu is crafted to perfection. All their ingredients are fresh and everything is made from scratch. Their hip ambience is only matched by their top notch service. And I haven’t even started talking about their cocktails, where passion and creativity are the key ingredients of every cocktail served.

Came here to grab a bite to eat before I went to Cirque du Soleil. Tried the Atlantic salmon and the spicy chicken sandwich. The food is really good. Only complaint that I had is that the spicy chicken sandwich is too spicy where it ruins, the flavour of the sandwich itself. It’s disgustingly spicy, but SUCH a good sandwich. A suggestion, would be to dial the spice back a bit so the flavours of the sandwich could be enjoyable.

Came here yesterday for a communion and the atmosphere soon as you walk in is amazing, staff were awesome friendly everyone was smiling, food was incredible! We had the pleasure of having rama as our server she was hands down one the best servers we have ever had! We will definitely be coming back again.thank you to the chef's and all the staff and rama for making our brunch amazing you guys were awesome!

Had brunch today - it was fantastic! All the staff were lovely. The food / drinks were great. The patio was perfect!

Last week I came to Lume for dinner and a drink. The staff is really friendly, Arazo and Tia served me really quickly and make an amazing cocktail. The chef, Ryan, came to serve my meal and he was so personable and cute too! He really made the evening a great experience having the chef come to the table made me feel extra special.
The place is very clean and chic, definitely a place I would love to come to throw my next party. It’s trendy, modern and the bathrooms are really really nice which is important when I go out. I will be coming back to check out the patio because the food was so great and so fresh, I’ll be bringing friends along. The quality of food, drink and service is top tier! ️ also, lots of parking available, and easily accessible.

Went on 10th June again and we had ordered lamb shank. 30 min later they come and say they don't have lamb since since another big order came and they had to deliver there.

Pathetic!

First time here and service was amazing. Rana was friendly, attentive, and gave the best recommendations. Definitely a new spot for date night.

This place is awesome! I got the lamb shank and it was perfect! Also the service was on point! Not to mention the drinks! Ask for the strawberry shortcake cocktail! It's not on the main menu, but trust me it's amazing!

We got here at 5pm wanting to eat before our Cirque du Soleil show which started at 7pm nearby, and it took forever for our food to come out, I think nearly an hour. We got the penne ala vodka as one of the dishes and as soon as it came to the table you could tell it wouldn’t be good. The sauce was super watery and didn’t coat the pasta well and it was pretty flavourless overall. We asked to return it and asked for a margherita flatbread instead since it was a starter and we figured we would get that quicker but it took like 45 minutes to make and bring to our table so at this point it was 6: 45pm and we had to pack it to go after only being able to eat one slice otherwise we would’ve been late. The server we had was sweet and understanding, but it’s crazy how long it took for the food to come out and even then the food was subpar to us

With only three other tables, waitress forgot to place our order taking nearly 45 min to get two sandwiches to go. Burger was a bit too salty and dry.

Overall this place was ok. The staff is great and friendly. The overall service leaves something to be desired and it was kinda slow. It took a long time for us to receive our drinks and food, especially since the place was at about 40/50% capacity. Food was meh, not bad but not great either. The part I really did not like was how there seemed to be a lot of people standing around but nothing was getting done. We ended up cancelling our last round of drinks since 10 mins after being ordered they hadn’t even started on them yet. I had high hopes but Highly doubt I will be going back. Maybe with better management and faster service I’d like to try again.

Great experience at Lume! Amazing brunch and all the staff were so friendly and accommodating!
Went for a Saturday brunch and while it wasn’t too busy we had made a reservation. The inside decor is stunning and the patio was beautiful and serene.
Had the lobster Benny and 10/10! Shrimp Benny also looked amazing. Our sever Caleb was great. Would definitely go back!

Wow, the most amazing dining experience in a while. We were warmly greated as we entered. Arezo is absolutely the best person, so full of positive energy. She exemplifies the true definition of someone who truly enjoys what they do. Food was awesome, tasty and FRESH. They make everything in house. The owner deserves the credit for the great food, but even more accolades for hiring the best staff. We will definitely be back. All the success to you.

We had tickets to the afternoon Cirque show and wanted a restaurant to go to after the performance. My wife chose Lume Kitchen and Lounge because of the good Google rating and it did not disappoint! There was a bit of a glitch during the performance which had it run long, but our table was still waiting for us. Gio was our server and was completely engaged with the two of us which just added to the enjoyment of the evening. Food was fantastic and ambiance perfect. Would highly recommend.
