As you can see with the many positive reviews the food and service is excellent. I am leaving this 5 star review for another reason. During our last visit an unfortunate accident happened and a piece of my wife’s clothing was damaged (no they did NOT spill anything on her). Management stepped up to plate and replaced the garment no questions asked. I highly recommend this restaurant not only because of the great food, service and friendly staff but also because honesty and professionalism are hard to come by these days and these kinds of businesses need to be supported. Thanks again Neil and we will be back.

The service was immaculate. The steak was one of the best in the country. The dipping sauces, especially the chimichurri, were delicious. We loved the ambiance. The servers were polite and adequately interactive.

The whole experience made it worth traveling to Ottawa. Well done, Luxe Bistro!

Very good restaurant. Had Humus appetizer excellent. Ceasa Salad very good. Filet Mignon and NY Strip cooked perfectly served with mash potatoes and roasted vegetables. Everything was very good. Washed down with craft beers ahead of the meals and an excellent Cabernet with the entrees. Finished with Gelato and coffees. Highly recommend Luxe.

Everything was great and food was amazing, the service was somehow slow though I guess for our table coz it was more faster for others, we were told the delay because we ordered appetizers! Which I didn't find convincing but overall I had great time.

We have been to Luxe many times over the last several years and it never disappoints! Great food and atmosphere! We are usually here for brunch on the weekends and highly recommend!

It’s one of my favourite spots in the city and have been coming here for many years.

We had the French cocktail, Caesar salad, and seafood appetizers.

I found the $27 for seafood appetizer overpriced for what we got. Small. The display of it was not fabulous.
It tasted okay.

Cocktails and fresh warm baguette and whipped butter were delish. Salad very fresh.

Just the seafood was not what I’m used to having at Luxe.

Server was wonderful.

I’ll return for sure but I will order something else.

We were only there for one or two drinks. In fact, we also found a Kölsch variant that actually tasted good. But local wines were also offered there and were excellent.

Amazing expérience! I came here once with my family and it was good. I came back tonight with my girlfriend and we had an wonderful time. Our serveur was great and took care of us all night!

Had our office holiday party there and the service was fantastic, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. They were very helpful and accommodating during the planning and set up. Everyone has been raving about the food and venue all week!

Everything was great!

The food was delicious, the wine list really good and the service was the best. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.

Only flaw was the music was a bit loud and we were not charmed by the hostess.

Per the suggestion of my coworkers I decided to take my parents here for their 25th anniversary; let me tell you, we were not disappointed.

We had an appetizer of crispy squid which was stacked tall with delicious flavours and perfectly cooked squid. I had the lobster burger with a caesar salad which was packed with lobster flavour and the caesar was very good with lots of parmeggiano reggiano. The burger was a bit messy to eat though. Mom had the same with a basil tomato soup side and the server paired a citrusy pinot grigio for her which was a nice touch. Dad had the seared scallops, which while it appeared to be a small dish, ended up being the perfect amount with the scallops cooked absolutely perfectly.

This a great casual fine dining restaurant with from what I could tell excellent front of house staff and exceptional back of house. A great place for special occasions or just a nice night out.

A bit expensive. Food was nice and pretty artistic, but nothing that different from other options of the same price. Service was great tho

Great atmosphere, a little loud so be sure you book a booth ahead of time or dine on their loft upstairs, is much quieter. Great food and service.

Only came here for drinks so don't have anything to say about their food. However, we ordered an Old Fashioned and their "Miso Into You" cocktail. Both drinks tasted pretty rough and the Miso had a fruit fly in (attached pic). I'm kind of glad it had the fly because it saved us from having to finish the drink. Wouldn't recommend coming here for drinks. Cheers.

Really wanted to be wowed by this place after reading so many amazing reviews, but unfortunately our steaks arrived an hour after ordering and were lukewarm, whereas the mashed potatoes on a skillet burned the mouth; the veggie side dish was cold yet burnt. The starter, on the contrary, was great. Usually don’t post negative reviews but this is meant to be a higher end spot in the Market. Overall the experience was disappointing.

Overall a lovely dining experience. Wagyu beef was perfectly cooked, sides were delicious and wait staff excellent and attentive. Came for lunch and returned for dinner. *****

Came back for dinner after having a bad experience last summer. After leaving a poor review, management contacted me to send out a gift card for another chance to try their restaurant. Was back in Ottawa for my birthday and went there for dinner and it was great! Our server "Nicole" was lovely and very professional. Food was amazing as was the service this time around. Thank you very much for a wonderful experience this time!

The best burger I’ve ever had in my entire life. You can tell from the taste of the food how much care and love the chef has for his work. He/she must be to owner of the restaurant.

The service is awesome. My wife really enjoyed the duck. I got a steak and fries (reminded me of McDonald's fries) and was a little disappointed by both but I hope this was a one off issue. The server was great.

This place is a real gem. The food, drinks, service, and even the atmosphere is a delight. We ordered the steak frites, burger, and cod. It was all so delicious. The wait staff was so attentive and friendly, and the prices are fair.

The food was average but low stars are for the wait staff that was extremely rude. One of the worst customer service experiences ever. Do not recommend this place at all.

Horrible servers, lie about times of service. Use covid as an excuse for terrible service and operation. Would never recommend. Very disappointed.

We went last Friday and waited over an hour for our food. When the food finally did show up, the steak was cold. My friends steak was completely raw inside when she asked for it to be well done. The food we received after waiting for so long was… really horrendous to be completely honest. A meal that cost be close to 100$… will never be returning, and will never be recommendations to friends/coworkers.

Fantastic French bistro, beautiful patio, classic bistro menu. My Moules (Mussels) in a fennel broth with a side of frites (french fries) and aioli was perfect!

The food was absolutely delicious, presented beautifully, great portions, fast service, and our server Tom was superb. Definitely highly recommend to anyone visiting the market.

A wonderful evening on the patio! Delicious food and decadent wine. We had the Bouillabaisse and the Duck leg- both divine and perfectly done! My friend and I visited LUXE bistro and were amazed at not only the quality of the drinks, but also the service. Also the food looks delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough! Such a warm and welcoming environment!

This was my first time here for a birthday dinner and I was Very disappointed. I ordered a filet mignon well done the chef sent a medium rare to me and on top of that it tasted awful. Almost like the meat was frozen and had a bad after taste. I did enjoy my drink though.

Great steaks and beef dinners. Location is excellent. Right in the Marketplace. Desserts were to die for. I would avoid the Lobster Poutine. $$$

My honest opinion: Food was good not that good for the price. Definitely a bit overpriced, ordered the new York strip was a good size but a bit dry, over seasoned / salty. Drink was good but not great for the price of their ceaser could have been a bit more fancy or dressed up, not even a stick of celery, steak was a bit dry and over salted. Was also not a fan of the peppercorn sauce too watery. $23 dollar tomato salad was also way over priced for the quality I was expecting. Servers were pretty slow getting food out as well. All in all it's a good vibe nice environment in a nice spot in the market. Hope this is taken as constructive critiscm to make this restaurant as great as it could be. I might come back and try this place out in the distant future but for this summer there are a many other restaurants in the market that have impressed me much more.

Never been there for dinner but would definitely NOT RECOMMEND going for brunch. This place is clearly overrated. Food was tasteless. Potato hash was undercooked, sausage discusting; felt like I was eating sand but once more with no flavor. One more thing, fruits were not even fresh and no non dairy option for drinks. Highly recommend sticking to lunch and dinner cuz brunch ain't your thing.

I really enjoyed my experience at Luxe. Only the patio dining was available (no indoor eating) when I went on July 5th. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made drink suggestions, answered any questions I had. My friend ordered the truffle mac n cheese with fries and he said it tasted great. I had a salad and they made great replacements for ingredients that I didn't want in the salad. When I arrived there, around 5: 30pm, there was only 1 couple there but by the time I left, around 6: 30-7pm, it was fully packed. The Peach Body drink was delicious and I'd order it again. I highly recommend this restaraunt. High quality food and service. If you're going at dinner time or any rush hour, I recommend making a reservation in advance as it does fill up fast.

We were lucky enough to find Luxe Bistro on Uber Eats during the lockdown/stay at home orders and fell in LOVE. The food was consistently amazing and always the perfect temp even with the delivery time! I was truly amazed that my steaks would come perfectly medium rare even after a 15 minute delivery. They always provided nice notes and the packaging was perfect too. We loved everything instantly on first bite and I would honestly give 5/5 stars for Food alone. Everything was amazing until last weekend and today.

Last weekend the lockdown and stay at home orders were lifted, so when we went to order Luxe for delivery on our anniversary our Uber Eats order was canceled after waiting about an hour. We were upset, but assumed things were pretty busy since everything was now open so we tried again on Sunday. Sunday they were listed as closed and will open again on Monday. Once again, a little disappointed but we assumed a very busy kitchen. Our disappointment grew once we saw Luxe Bistro closed on Uber Eats for the whole week, so we gave them a call today.

Now I'm not sure if we spoke to someone new on the phone today, but the complete lack of empathy and understanding was enough for me to spend 10 minutes of my own time to write out my disappointment with Luxe Bistro. We were told Luxe will not be going back to Uber Eats or anything third-party app for delivery OR take out, which means my wife and I will no longer be able to enjoy the amazing food anymore. I know the whole city is acting like crazy after staying inside for so long, but my wife and I can't risk going out into crowds until we can get our 2nd shot in August. This is the reason I'm sadly giving Luxe Bistro a 2/5 rating and sadly I will no longer be able to enjoy the food due to the removal of ALL delivery options.

Twice in a row now, brunch was terrible. Sometimes the food is excellent, sometimes it's terrible. Too bad they're inconsistent with the food.

What a great place. I was by myself for the Canadian Thanksgiving and wanted to treat myself. I had an amazing steak and glass of red. Steak was well prepared, and my side of brocolini had a touch of a really good sauce with some heat. I'd like to go back when friends visit.

We had steak. The steak is cooked according to order. The side was also good.we had crispy squid and it was also cooked perfectly. We were there on a Monday evening and it was not busy.surely will recommend to try if you like steak.

Went for lunch mid-afternoon. Both the host and the server were lovely about my wheat sensitivity, and the server even double checked ingredients with the kitchen when I asked about a specific item.

I really love steak tartare and the new version on the menu is great and the presentation is also very good. Not everyone likes steak tatare but it's great. The service is always great and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. One of the few places in town where I can get Butternut Chardonnay. Thanks

Great steakhouse in the heart of the market. The food was great, and the service was seamless. I only wish that there was a little more room to spread out. I felt as if we were rubbing elbows with the other tables.

Last night (Aug. 31,2019) we tried LUXE for the first time as we are from Montreal. We stopped for drinks and a small snack and I was impressed by the service. I mentioned to the waitress of my seafood allergy and we ordered an entree.
Later, not sure if it was the owner or manager came to speak to me to ask about my allergy and suggested that I do not try the entree that we chose because he felt that it was not safe. (cross contamination). I ordered another entree and he personally brought it to me and said that he prepared it himself!

Well, this is the first time that this happened to me. What an amazing service. Both entrees were delicious and the drinks were fabulous.

Next time I am in Ottawa, I will definitely go for dinner. I recommend this restaurant.

Second time dining at Luxe in the last 2 weeks. Very pleasantly surprised by the food, it has been outstanding!

Hamburger "haut de gamme" cooked to your liking. Medium-rare Southern Burger was out of this world. Best Burger ever!

Mais le pire c’est le hamburger pour mon fils qui a coûté 18$ (hamburger classique Mayo-ketchups) on a demandé avec fromage 2$ d’extra et elle nous a suggéré le mac and cheese pour accompagnement 4$ d’extra. Donc l’assiette pour mon garçon de 3 ans a coûté 24$ haha. Ça me dérange pas de payer mais là c’est rire des gens complément.
Mon conjoint a pris hamburger au filet mignon, il a aimé.
Et j’ai pris salade au steak (29$) et pour le prix il ne vaut pas la peine, le steak goûtait rien et raide.
Pour le prix ça ne vaut pas du tout la peine.

Meal was excellent! We sat on the patio. Music was upbeat and jazzy at a nice volume. We got in on a Friday night with no or wait for a table. Server took a while to get back to us (looked like he was busy) but service was good enough. The real selling point is the food. A bit of a wait for food to arrive (probably 30 minutes) but the quality was excellent. I had the luxe burger, and a lobster mac and cheese. My girlfriend had the lobster burger. All of it was very very tasty and well worth the wait. Considering their burgers are the same price as the king eddy, you are getting much better food for the price at luxe.
I will be returning to try their surf and turf.

Wow! This place is fantastic! We went there for our 25th anniversary dinner. Super variety of dishes. We tried the lobster poutine and I enjoyed a lobster burger after. Many gourmet offerings in a classy atmosphere!

Food and service was excellent! A bit pricey for the market but a great place to celebrate a special occasion.

Only been a few times to eat but have been a bunch for drinks. The steak is on point and the brunch is awesome. Katie the rest of the staff are always great to visit!

Terrible- just terrible. Poor service combined with bad food.

I ordered the prime rib sandwich and asked for no cheese. When it arrived 30mins later, yep you guessed it, it was covered in swiss cheese. No biggie. They took it back. 15mins later and it's round #2. No cheese! But now instead of the toasted/ panini style it's beef on bread.okay. Funny thing about hot juicy prime rib- when you put it on bread the bread becomes soggy and disintegrates. Yay!

My wife had the mussels- swing and a miss- and my little girl couldn't finish her meal because it was too salty. Three strikes!

Honestly, save some money and just get a beaver tail. Luxe is memorable only for being so gross.

Came here for lunch and got the 14oz boneless rib steak with Mac and cheese. The steak was done perfectly rare and was so good. The mac and cheese could have used a bit more sauce, but it was still good. The service was good as well.

About luxe.the location is fantastic.right in the middle of the party area. The best burgers and sandwiches in the city. And the sectet being their beef is ground inhouse. The ambience is great and a mark of a great restaurant 5 star restrooms.better then your home for sure.

I was served by mathew and i am grateful to him. I gave him a whole lot of instructions for the burger AND he got it perfectly. Thee best beef and fresh avocado burger ever! Nice positive likeable guy who aims to help his customers and keep them happy.

My new wife and I had an intimate wedding in the Luxe Loft private room. It was an amazing atmosphere, the food was fantastic and the service was top notch! Thank you to all of the workers who helped make our evening memorable!
