I got my nails done by Helen, regular manicure and it was beautiful and she was able to finish in 30 mins.

Luxe is the best nail salon I've ever been to. Everyone makes you feel welcome and no one is made to feel out of place. Everyone is spaced out and one person works on your nails until they're finished. Bright, spacious clean and friendly!

I recently had an appointment with a nail technician at Luxe and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. I was disappointed with the lack of attention to detail during my visit. Not only did I have to file my own nails, but I also discovered black particles under the nude nail polish when I got home.

This lack of attentiveness and the subpar quality of the service left me generally unhappy with my visit. I believe that every customer deserves a thorough and professional experience when visiting a salon. I hope that my feedback can help improve the service quality for future customers.

The mani and pedi I received was nice but over priced by $30.
$110 plus tax and tip for a regular pedi and shellac mani.
I wont be back.

I am not satisfied, because the pedicure was too short. Expected more time. My pedicurist was Julia, there was little introduction and she ran for another customer and left me. It was rude.
I think it's too much money for atitude like that. Won't visit again.

Really beautiful place and kind staff. I’ve been coming here for months and am usually satisfied but my experience today was enough for me not to return. I got an overlay manicure as I usually do and asked for a square shape. I wasn’t pleased with how the shape was looking and I asked her if she could please straighten out a few of the edges as they looked almost oval rather than square. She said she couldn’t and she already tried. I just said okay that’s fine and didn’t say anything else about it as i’m not one to argue but I think it was clear I was disappointed. I come here often and have no issue getting the shape I want any other time so it was disappointing considering how much I was going to be paying for this set.left my appointment and went straight to shoppers to purchase a nail file and fix them myself, which only took me about 5 minutes to get my desired shape but did unfortunately result in a bit of chipping of the polish but I guess that’s my own fault. Not a big deal, just disappointing when you pay so much for a service.

Let me just start off by saying there is a lot of things I love about this salon. My nail tech Hanna is so friendly, personable & absolutely AMAZING at her work. I have always left happy with my nails. My mother and I have been coming every two weeks for almost two years now.
However, I have been extremely disappointed by the management of the salon, primarily the booking system. Seems like almost every time I come in there is a new coordinator/ manager. I’ve shown up for appointments that never existed more then once (due to miscommunication/ organization). I’ve been promised discounts that were never followed through on- and when I did mention it to the coordinator she talked back to me & told me she had no idea what I was talking about it and said she would give me “her discount” (which defeats the point). My mother comes here on her lunch break and sometimes they run half an hour late on appointments, yet when I needed a nail fix they were unable to squeeze me & I had to wait a day or two.
Additionally, sometimes when you make an appointment they call you with a reminder and other times they don’t. Leaving the client wondering if you really do have an appointment & often times you are playing cat and mouse phone tag.
Lastly, when it comes to booking appointments I was told that the nail tech I see was booked up for three weeks- yet when another coordinator came over she found us an appointment no problem.
The lack of organization makes scheduling appointments very difficult on the client.

I always like coming to Lux! Staff are friendly and the nail technicians have a gentle touch which is perfect for me. Definitely will be back.

This was my first time at luxe. I asked for a shellac manicure. I asked for a natural colour and some glitter for the holidays. The service lasted less than 30 min and I was left unsatisfied.

Love this place! The colour selection is huge and my nails always look amazing when they’re finished. Great atmosphere too!

Won't be coming back. While I was waiting for my appointment, an aesthetician came and asked if she could take the nail swatch that I was currently looking at and promised she would bring it right back. She never came back.
My "relaxing" hand massage was rough and aggressive and very brief. The whole appointment felt rushed and like they were eager to move onto the next person. Plus, it hasn't even been a week and a half and several of my nails have either chipped, or fully peeled off. Not great. I would only give 1 star, but the girl who worked the front desk was very friendly.

Amazing staff. It's fun to visit here and the staff wants you to end up with the look you are hoping for. I visited for brows and lashes and absolutely live the results. Very clean and relaxing.

My friend and I had a wonderful first time experience at Luxe! We were greeted by the loveliest host, offered coffee & tea while we waited for our nail techs. Our nails turned out amazing and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience from start to finish! Thank you! It will be our new regular nail spot.

I’ve been coming here for years and slowly the experience has dwindled. I am constantly coming out with uneven nails, it typically takes 1-2 days to get a booking as they are poor on answering phone/texts. My nails are always chipping, and if I’m paying $45-$55 on a nail service I expect to be there longer than 28 minutes as my last experience.

I’ve been getting my gel nail fill here since December of 2021 and the service is fantastic! My less than ideal review should not reflect poorly on the staff as they’re wonderful ladies just doing their jobs.
My review is 2 stars because I feel there are some shady business practices that the owners are using.
I started coming to Luxe for Sumiko and her permanent makeup services. I had never been here before and was excited to see that they were also offering a wide range of services including nails. I started booking appointments for my regular nail fill. On my first visit once I was ready to pay the lady at the desk said that their monaris wasn’t working and that I needed to pay with cash. I was a little worried as I never carry cash. The lady proceeded to point to their atm machine at the back and said I could pull out money to which I replied that I don’t have cash even on my debit. The lady then said it was ok I could use the monaris. I was confused as she had just said it wasn’t working. Either way I just brushed it off and didn’t think about it until my next visit in January and the same situation occurred. Surely the their monaris issues had been resolved. Not according to their staff and again I got the same spiel and again after reiterating that I do not have cash they allow to pay the the monaris “that isn’t working”. This whole bit about the monaris doesn’t sit well with me and doesn’t seem like there’s an issue with the POS at all. It’s very much a business tactic to save money by not having to pay the fee for customers using their POS system. Further more they have an atm inside their building which tells me that not only do they save of the POS fees by accepting cash only they’re also using the atm to pocket their own fees for using the machine. An ATM can also help a business make more money by incentivizing customers to spend more and tip better. Listen if that’s how you’re making your bones that’s fine but do not tell your customers there’s an issue with the POS when there’s clearly no issue. They insensitivise you by saying you won’t pay tax for your appointment. Ok but my preference is plastic, always. Do I need to explain my finances to these people. There’s obviously something fishy going on here. Further more it’s putting your staff in a position where they need to fudge the truth to the customers and it also also makes the customers feel extremely awkward at the cash if they do not have cash. It’s also made me, a customer, not trust the business as they cannot be honest about their payment. I’ve been using the nail services for about 4 months now and the same story about their monaris hasn’t changed. And I will add that when I use Sumiko’s services I’ve NEVER been told this. Unfortunately I will no longer be getting my nails filled here anymore.

Nice place. They do a great job with long fancy nails, not so much with plain shorter nails for people who have to work.

Love the ambience of the place. Greeters were super friendly. The over sized chairs and foot soak tubs are very awkward and uncomfortable. The lady giving me my pedicure was very disengaged and stared out the window the whole time like she did not want to be there. She also cut the side of my toe really bad. It bled the whole time and she ignored it - no apology or anything. A week later my toe still hurts where she cut me. Polish on big toe was obviously chipped In multiple spots on day three. I won’t be back.

I really enjoy coming here! It is a little pricey but so are most nail salons. I’ve had Taylor and Zoey work on my nails and they’re both super friendly and talented! They do only take cash at the moment but if you’re in the area and you ever want to get your nails done, they do take walk-ins depending on how busy it is!

Literally the best place in KW for beautifull acrylic or gel nails. The kitchener location is really nice too. The decor inside is so pretty, you feel like you are in a spa. And they do an amazing job with your cuticles:)

When you get your toes done you get to choose a bath bomb, which is really fun. The coffee one is my favourite; has such a nice smell.

Honestly very disappointed. I’ve been a few times before and was decently pleased, but the last time i went my gel nails started breaking not even a week after I had got them done which i think is unacceptable given the price. Don’t think I’ll go back.

Can’t say enough about luxe nail bar in Waterloo! Every technician was extremely skilled and Alicia went above and beyond to make sure our group of 10 had the absolute best time! Even including a little photoshoot at the end! Perfect for any bridal party or just a girls day out! We’ll definitely see you again soon!

I got my eyelash extensions done by Maria today. It took 3 hours but she has such a beautiful energy, I could’ve sworn it was only an hour. Her work is meticulous, my lashes look and feel incredible! Thank you for such a great experience. I will definitely be back!

I appreciate what they are going for in terms of aesthetic. It's overall modern and bright, with lovely high ceilings and a great open layout. Great business/salon concept.

Where it fell flat for me was cleanliness. The large rectangular sink where you wash your hands immediately after coming in was distinctly grimy around/behind the base of the taps, and there were old watermarks on the mirror. The bench where you wait has scuffs around the base, and the front desk had smudges on the plexi.

It made a poor first impression, unfortunately. Though I may have just come at a bad time, as a result, I don't intend to return for my solo appointments. Seeing that the basics weren't clean made me question the other hygiene practices in place re tools/basins etc.and I don't like to have that kind of uncertainty when booking. I might consider them if I was going to come in with a group, simply because it's a great space, and hey, maybe I just caught them on a bad day?

That said.

My service (pedicure) was good and the woman assisting me was lovely and quite thorough.

I appreciated having a cushion in the chair behind me, as the seats are quite deep. If you are very tall, prepare to be pleased.

I did wish the overall seat was fixed to the floor, as it moves on the platform a little too much for my preferences, but that's really nothing important.

Hopefully management tightens the ship a little there moving forward, I would love for them to succeed.

Dina is amazing! She’s been doing my brows and lashes for awhile now and WOW! Takes her time is a perfectionist, and is very pleasant. Everyone else at LUX is kind and professional, and welcoming as well!

I did my hybrid eyelashes extensions and all fell of the next day. I paid 155 am really disappointed I will never come back to this place again

My sister and I have been to many nail salons and this one is TOP NOTCH. We made appointments for pedicures and were greeted immediately, asked if we'd like coffee/water, and the wifi password. They made sure the water was the right temperature for our liking and even added a bath bomb into our foot soak. Everyone was so friendly and nice and the salon is well decorated, clean and inviting. We are not from the area but would hands down do the hour drive for this experience again. THANK YOU!

Went to get my eyebrows threaded for the first time, and Kaitlyn did such a wonderful job! She cleaned them up while still sticking to my natural shape, which is something I'm picky about. She was also so kind and professional, I can't wait to go back again!

I've tried many places for getting my nails done over the years but Luxe is by far the best choice! The salon is clean and welcoming, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the service can't be beat. I've been getting gel overlay done for 6 months now and I haven't even managed to chip or crack a nail once in that time. Even when I had to get my overlay removed for a surgery my nails underneath were still strong and healthy - something I didn't even think was possible.
I've been going to Annie exclusively for months now because she is so careful, gentle and phenomenal at what she does. Not to mention she is super quick so I'm in and out in 45 minutes every time! I absolutely love Luxe and will be continuing to only get my nails done here!

I had the most amazing experience here at the salon about a week ago. Maria helped me out with a beautiful fill on my eyelashes. She was over the top kind, sweet and very informative. I would recommend her services to anyone and everyone. I left feeling so relaxed, satisfied and beautiful.

I highly recommend LUXE. The ladies at the front desk are always so welcoming and every nail technician I've had gives such high quality service. I work a very hands on job and am yet to break a nail! As someone who is super particular about their nails, the ladies here always do an incredible job. The atmosphere also contributes to the amazing experience as a whole. Will always recommend to friends and family!

This was my first time at this salon and I was not let down. Hana did my nails today and her patience and precision was unmatched for the checkered nails (see attached photo!). I’ve been to a few nail salons and this has by far been my favourite. Can’t wait to be back next time.
