M Models and Talent Toronto Modeling and Acting Agency

I have been with this agency since 2009. We have had our ups and downs but this is the agency that made my career. I have done bunch of commercials for Tsn, Subaru, Con Air, Intact insurance, Pepsi, Subway thru M Models. All my commercials can be seen on their youtube channels. Thank you so much to all the agents for being so patient with me. This is the agency to choose if you want agents that will invest in you and not rip you off.

I have been with m models for 3 years now. I have has a great experience so far. I had so many issues with other agencies trying to make me pay thousands on portfolios and acting classes. I only paid for my admin fee and my shoots and acting classes were paid by my agency.

Oky… I have to say, it’s my best experience with them. The staff is also very helpful and organized.

BEWARE: Exposing Troubling Practices at M MODELS Talent Agency

During my interview with this modeling agency, a significant concern arose when they asked me to pay administrative fees amounting to "$372" while also recording the interview without obtaining my prior consent. This unexpected recording was the first red flag. Subsequently, I discovered that some of the commitments made during the interview were not reflected in the written agreement.

Specifically, the agency verbally pledged to cover unlimited photoshoots and acting classes, both within and outside the agency. When I requested that these commitments be formalized in the written contract, the representative declined, simply stating, "you should believe me. " Regrettably, I couldn't place my trust in verbal assurances alone without written confirmation, which cast doubts on the legitimacy of their operations.

When I raised concerns about negative comments I had found online, the interviewer appeared offended, and dismissed them as "fake" and attributed them to competitors and abruptly ended our conversation. This experience left me feeling uneasy and reluctant to proceed with the agency. Transparency and clear communication are fundamental in any professional relationship, and the agency's reluctance to document their promises in writing was a significant red flag for me.

Given these circumstances, I've decided to explore opportunities with modeling agencies that better align with my expectations and uphold the values of transparency and professionalism.

UPDATE:
After posting my review, I received incessant calls from Sean, who expressed anger and demanded the removal of my comment. I explained that my review was an honest reflection of my experience, highlighting that the interview abruptly ended on his side, despite his claim of losing internet connectivity, which contradicted his earlier farewell. He then resorted to threats, insisting I delete the comment or face legal action. I calmly encouraged him to proceed with legal action as he saw fit, citing my busy schedule, and ended the call. However, the barrage of calls persisted, with Sean resorting to different phone numbers and messages like "I will cover all your costs" and "tell your lawyer to call me asap, " all due to my truthful review. Despite my three requests to cease communication, the harassment persisted.

Sean Fernandez later modified his comment, alleging my rudeness and the interviewer's refusal to consider me, both of which are outright lies. I maintained a polite and professional demeanor throughout the interview and they did extend an offer and sent an invoice for administrative fees.

During the interview, they pressured me to make immediate payments, a significant red flag for legitimate agencies. Rebuffing their demands and refusing to sign the contract, I explained that their promises were not documented within it. In response, the interviewer became aggressive and terminated the call. They had assured to cover photoshoots, acting classes, and travel expenses, none of which were specified in the contract. They repeatedly referred to clause 8, which ambiguously stated that courses would be provided "if the agent agrees. " This lack of clarity raised concerns about the guarantee of these provisions. If they refused to document their promises, it implied deception on their part.

I urge everyone to exercise caution and AVOID this agency at all cost. They may dismiss this comment as fake, as they did with previous negative feedback, but I assure you it is 100% entirely truthful and accurate.

Signed up recently with M Models and I have to say, it’s my best experience with them so far. Very organized and helpful. The staff is also exceptional, they always gives heads-up regarding projects and auditions. Their senior agent Sean is also phenomenal and explains things with details. He also helps through issues regarding everything within the agency such as payment timeline, auditions and etc.

Last week I had the opportunity to attend their acting classes which the agency pays. I had learned so much from that class and it provided me with better guideline for auditions and projects.

Again, excellent experience with M Models & Talent. I would recommend anyone who would like to apply to go for this agency. Don’t let a bad review stop you from signing up. I’m part of this agency and honestly it’s amazing with how they handle everything.

I joined them 10 years ago. I have tried signing in with other agents but no one is like M Models. I joined another agency last year paid over 1300 and didn’t land one audition in one year. At least with M models I had tons of auditions and I know exactly what’s going on. They also have been paying for my head shots for over 10 years. Trust me when I say this is the right agency to join ….

I joined Mmodels approximately two years ago and I have to say that I have been very satisfied. You are constantly being submitted to projects and thus being able to grow your experience as a model when the opportunity comes to work with certain companies. The staff is very accommodating and ensures that you feel safe and respected in any situation. I am very happy to be a part of this amazing agency.

Met a few agencies before going ahead with M Models & Talents, must say these guys are the only ones who are not in the game only to grab money by making you to go with their panel of photographers and all. Did my initial stills and always there to do more.

So we hired 12 actors for a PSA. I had one that didn’t show up from the agency, I just called to notify them and within 30 mins we had replacement at the studio. It was a pleasure working with them!

My agent Clare knows what she is doing, she answers all my questions and is always available to chat. I have had many agents in the past and none of them give you there personal numbers. I can call her any time.

I have been thru tons of agents in Toronto and have paid thousands towards comp cards and shoots. They were the first agents to pay for my shoots and actually someone for the agency was there to help me during the shoots. I just paid an admin fee and I have done 3 shoots. No agent in Toronto takes out there time and money towards there models. This is the only agency I trust when it comes to print and commercial castings.

The agency is one the top modeling agencies I have worked with in Canada. I hire models for commercial projects thru them and they are easy to work with. My staff and I would recommend them for sure. I do really appreciate your guys hard work and determination.

To many agencies in Toronto but these guys are the only ones that invest on new comers. I paid 1500 with tn model management and got s # h i t photos and no auditions. M models paid for my shoot and my agent was actually there to help me during the portfolio shoot. The shots turned out much better and I landed my first audition within 3 weeks.

I just landed 3 projects in 2 months. My agent is always available to anwser my questions and are on top of all my bookings. I am happy to be apart of M models!

I signed up me and kids and I left it for couple of months. I got bunch of auditons before the kids because I tottaly forgot to do the kids profiles I called the agency and dealt with one the agents. They are a great agency and really straight up not cunning like other agents.

Fake people don't ever go to this agency. They're big time frauds. They're scammers.

I would have given zero star, if there was an option. Please do not waste your money in this agency, they promise to find work and provide auditions. Forget about the work, they don't even follow up after sending numerous e-mails. The worst agency ever, do not trust them. They only know to make false promises. There was no photo shoot done, we submitted the pics taken by a professional photographer, threatening me to sue of defamation & what not, that’s where the work ethics & professionalism come from, when called spoke to some Shawn, was literally shouting at me over the phone not even giving me any opportunity to speak up & hung up the phone. Wow! If that’s Toronto top modelling agencies work that they claim… then I have no words.

I signed up at the agency about a month ago and I already submitted my first audition today. Sean is kind and easy to work with and it's been a smooth process so far.

Before I joined the agency. I was confused to choose which agency is legit in my area.then I decided to join mmodeles and talent which is the right thing I have done. I met Sean he is very helpful, humble and polite. He is always there to assist for every shots and questions.

Worst experience ever. At this point they just encouraged me to join to take my money. No help no guidance or assistance nothing! Do not recommend especially for people with little to no experience.

Update: for the person who replied no I am not mistaken I still have the interview email. You are correct it is the agents choice to choose who they want to work with but the agent that took our call is weak if they can’t verbally turn someone down over a zoom call. They would rather verbally agree to working with someone then going ghost that’s unprofessional and if you can’t see that well that’s already a red flag. —- my review: I will leave my honest experience here as I have voiced this on their IG page and my comment was deleted. I was then later blocked. Contact this agency at your own risk. My at the time almost 3 year old had an interview with M models in July of 2020. The rep explained everything and appeared truly excited to work with my daughter. She advised she would send over the paper work post call but never followed up. I believe I sent 1 email to the team who setup the interview, they also did not reply. There is a level of unprofessionalism here that I have not seen before. It’s ok to not want to work with someone but at least have the decency to say it upfront rather than going ghost. I would not recommend them to anyone. Enrol your child in theatre school when they are at the age to learn valuable skills the rest will come.

My daughters joined 6 months ago. I absolutely love this agency. The amount of hard work these guys put to get auditions is insane.

We had models booked with another agency and on the day of the shoot the 3 models canceled last minute. It was 5: 00 pm all agencies were sayin they can’t help. I left a message on M models voice mail. Not even 10 mins later I had link to pick the models that were available same day. By 8: 00 pm we started shooting. Thanks a lot guys. We will be working with you guys again.

They are the only best agency to work with in Toronto. They help you not a lot of agencies care.

I joined a year ago. At first it’s was hard to understand how to do an audition. But bit by bit I actually started landing auditions and it was amazing. I have done 1 print and 3 commercials so far. I definitely recommend M Models.

You know the different between a real agency and a fake one. These agents are real! Keep it up!

I am in love with the fact I don’t have to keep giving my availability to them. They submit me for projects I match and don’t wait for me to email them my availability. So I get submitted before other agency’s that wait for there models to confirm.

It takes all of time and patience to be an actor. If you think you will get a job right away. This is not for you. Stick to your day job.

Just hired 3 models from them last week. It was really easy to work with the staff and helped me follow the covid protocol for the shoots.

I have been with a lot of agencies in the past. This was the only agency that actually kept there word and actually tried getting me jobs. I am truly blessed to have hard working agents behind me.

I had my doubts to join but when my wife and my daughter got work together recently it showed me that they are good agents out there. We had a agency in the past but they don’t come close to them.

They are hardworking and honest agency to work with. I always say actions speak louder than words. Just look at the work they are doing and what they have done.

First they immediately tried to schedule me for an interview. Then when I asked, they said there were no fees except for If I wanted to do my headshots with them. Then I asked them to schedule me for an interview and received no reply. Then when I asked them again to schedule me they said actually they have a 300+tax registration fee. I told someone about this and they confirmed that this is a scam. There should be no fee or very small amount.

I paid my admin fee which was fare. Took me 3-4 months to actually get a decent auditions. If I compare the previous agency I was with. There is no comparable, these guys know what they are doing.

My staff and I work with Ruby to choose models for our products. They are great company to work with.

My son is with this agency. I have to say the agents know what they are doing. In 2 months he has done 12 auditions. The previous agency gave him 10 auditions within an year.

I will be hiring models again from this company. They followed my direction really well. I can’t wait to see the final images.

I just joined the agency 3 months ago. I paid for my admin fee only because I already had images from before. These guys actually made it a lot easier for me to see projects come in and applied for me. I don’t have to call and check in every week or reply I am available. Great agents to work with!

They literally send a bot interview email to every application on their website. They hire anybody as long as you pay that $339 fee

M models and Talent agency is a very useless agency. They take money from innocent aspiring talents and come up with fake jobs, fake sponsors and fake reviews. You send self tapes to all these fake jobs they come up with and they never call you back for at least one. Avoid this agency or else you lose your money and you lose your head. Scammers and Fraudsters.

It was okay. Nice set up. It would of been nice to be greeted by someone the day I personally went however the consultant we spoke with was friendly and straight forward. The services included in the package is worth it but their initiative needs a lot more work. Just checking in their models every once in a while would improve this rating.

In my views real agencies don't asking for registration fees and photo shots. So you should ask yourself before apply here" if I pay this amount and then if there is no work"? ‍️ I guess you got it.

I had a ZOOM interview with a woman who required I pay $339 upfront and it must be paid in full within 1 HOUR or else my application would be terminated. Like a damn threat! If this doesn't REEK of scam, I don't know what does.

I joined in November for fun and had no idea what would happen. So far I have done 2 projects after 20 auditions or so. It's not that easy as you think it takes time to understand how to do a good selftape.

I have that same situation the company asking for $600 plus tax and nothing happened he asked me for money right away and he said send me the money right now without even me signing anything, I did some research real agency never ask for money even for the photoshoot 300$ is a lot for a photoshoot, my friend gave 20$ for a photoshoot not 300$ and I just can say real agency never ask for a money, they usually take 20% if you get any job from them.

I was with icon for 1 year and did not even land 1 audition. I joined Mmodels a month ago and have gotten 5 auditons. This just shows it all depends on what agents you have working for you.

No agency in town can compare to M Models. They paid for classes and gave me more the 12 shoots for free so far. All I covered was my prints. No agency does that!

This agency is great and treats you with respect from day one. Working with Sean was a breeze and he was able to find jobs for me even with little experience. Sean, and the whole team is understanding and flexible with photoshoots and will teach you ins and outs of the business. Would reccomend them 100% to any aspiring or experienced talent.
