I had a good experience over the phone with Madison concerning general Information and advice.
She was very professional, welcoming and polite.
I will be doing business with M&T in the near future.

I phoned in to request information regarding window repairs and the woman I spoke with, I believe her name was Madison, was very helpful and informative. Her friendly demeanour made it easy to ask questions. I will definitely be doing business here!

Ken was amazing to deal with. Friendly and knowledgeable. I brought 2 camper windows in 1 week after speaking to him. He remembered. I was quoted $200 elsewhere. Cost me only $44 here and it was done in 30 min. There were 2 customers in front of me who also left very happy. One of them was looking for a piece of hardware for his window that he said was discontinued. Ken had it in stock and just gave it to him for free. Who does that today? !? M&T Glass does.
Customer service was outstanding. For 3 customers.me included. I will definitely be back!

Work order dated summer 2020, paid in full spring 2021, and is still not completed (October 2022). I cannot count the number of times I have called the company, and when I do get through to someone, they say they will call me back, but never do, so I am stuck chasing them again either on the phone or wasting time going there in person to try and get an update. Occasionally someone has come by to make progress on the work orders (most windows are done, still missing one), but the work is still not complete and nobody follows up with me. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.

Update Nov 2022: after posting this review one of the owners contacted me. He was going to then call me back to arrange to come by and see what he can do to fix the situation. It has been weeks and I have not heard anything. I also forgot to mention when they removed the glass from my arch window to template it, they broke the glass (and trim). Given it is getting cold it would be nice to get this fixed.

Another update Dec 15 2022: Finally got through to someone after a few more unreturned phone calls and unanswered messages. Had an appointment today to install my missing window glass. Nobody showed up, nobody called, and I couldn't get through to anyone either.

Update Sep 2023: Finally got the missing window, but another one that I had waited over a year and a half for was poorly installed so sprung during the first cold spell six months after installation. Initially they were going to replace it under warranty, but when I followed up a few months after someone came to measure for the warranty replacement, they told me they would charge me for a new one. I asked for a refund but was of course ignored.

I needed to replace a handle/lock on an old patio door; no longer available due to its' age. Ken gave me the perfect alternative, and great recommendations.fantastic service, much appreciated! I'll definitely be using M & T Glass in the future.highly recommend! Thank you Ken!

I grew tired of the big bulky full handle pieces that were installed by another shower glass company. I contacted M&T Glass to remove the old shower glass system I had for so many years and to install new panels and new hardware. Perfect fit. No leaking. Very modern look!

OMG, M&T is just a joke of a company. After 24 WEEKS waiting for a shower installation, I gave up and went elsewhere. The other company did it in three weeks, as promised. Avoid M&T at all costs.

I'd give 0 stars if I could.

I have been waiting for my windows to be installed for close to 10 months. They were only supposed to take a partial payment for the work they did do, but they billed me for the entire amount with the promise of a quick installation for the rest.

Half a year later, and after at least a dozen emails and phone calls I don't have my windows or my money.

This company is terrible and I regret hiring them.

The day after I posted this I was contacted to schedule an appointment. Moe called the day before to postpone from Thursday October 27th to Monday October 31st. Then they never showed up. I contacted M&T glass a few times more and they said they would be here on Monday November 21st. Again they did not show up and neither called nor emailed to communicate.

They make you take time off of work but then disrespect you by not even having the decency to call and cancel or reschedule.

Initial contact to get a measurer out and get a quote went smoothly. On July 27th Ken Murtagh indicated the replacement thermal would have to be ordered with a 5-6 week delivery window and 50% deposit. Placed order and paid deposit same day. Followed up with Ken on September 13th and was told I would be called the week of September 26th to schedule installation. Sent emails on October 1st and 11th, and left voice-mail last week and again this week inquiring about the status of Work Order. Have received no call back nor email response. At this point worried my deposit is lost.

J'ai appeler en février dernier. Un monsieur est venu évaluer les domage pour une fenêtre craquée. La semaine suivante on m'appelle pour me donner le coût des réparations et prendre mon dépôt. On me dit de 4 à 6 semaines pour la fenêtre. Nous sommes à la fin septembre.aucune nouvelle. Mes appels restent sans retour. Quand je réussi à parler à quelqu'un, on me dit qu'on me rappelle.ce qu'ils ne font jamais. Cette compagnie se fou royalement de ces petits clients. Tenez-vous loin d'eux!

Suivi (2022-10-27) : Ils m’ont appeler la journée de ma “review” pour installer la fenêtre! Rendez-vous une semaine plus tard. Pris congé du travail et personne n’est venue… même pas un appel! Rien! Et personne ne réponds quand on appelle. Je comprend que les délais de matériaux sont hors du controle de l’Entreprise. Mais le suivi au niveau du service à la clientèle lui?

Not able to get a hold of them by phone or email. Ordered glass over two months ago, was told it would take about 6 weeks until installation, and just want an update. - Update, M&T got back to me swiftly with an update on my glass following this review. Thank you. - Further update 11 October 2022 - it's now been 6 months since M&T took our deposit for a window. The day it was due to be installed (almost 3 months after it was promised) we received a call that the window was broken when being loaded into the truck to be brought over and installed. We understand, these things happen. However, now it's been a further couple of months of no communication whatsoever. Amending my review again until we can get this resolved. So far, though, regretting having given them my money.

Not happy with the service at all. Ordered a pane of glass a month ago which was going to take about 1 week to complete. Not able to contact them for past several weeks either via phone or email. Can never get to speak with someone unless I drive out there in person. Left countless voicemails and got no callback. Very disappointed

I have changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars since they did make an effort to make things right.

They had scheduled to send someone to my house for a replacement of 2 of my window cranks and I took the morning off work to be home for this, they never showed up at the time of the appointment, no one answered the phone when I called several time and left messages to find out what was going on, and no one called me back it's been over 24 hours now. I had been waiting a week for the repair and now I have start the whole thing over somewhere else. Very disappointed.

After this first review I got a call and was scheduled in for the work a second time. They came this time on time but they cracked the window in the process. They did then fix it within a few days. So now it is all fixed.

Each time they came they left a mess on the floor, it would have been nice if they swept it up. It would have been nice if they had a towel to lay their tools down instead of directly on my bamboo desk.

The caulking could have been done better.

Not one to write reviews very often but not happy with the service of m and t glass, ordered a window in beginning of April which came in July so I brought it in and they broke it installing it, they put a single pane in for now and, ordered another one and now into October still waiting and can’t get a hold of anyone they don’t return calls. Emailed them them and will see I will still be waiting for response, I just think 6 months waiting for a broken window to be replaced is a bit much!

I have had 3 experiences with M&T Glass in the past 12 months for various glass items large and small and they have consistently been excellent. My largest job was 12 months ago when I had them make frameless shower doors.their pricing was very competitive and the quality was excellent. They are great to do business with. I will continue to use them and would highly recommend them as everyone I have encountered at M&T Glass have been true professionals.

Best customer service in town for window parts. Very knowledgeable and kind stuff. I couldn't close my window due to crank handle broken. I was looking for a replacement. I found the right size and model to fix my window.

+) Okay. I look forward hearing from Ken on Monday. My concern is not the deposit but when your company would install the windows. I know there are supply chain issues, but I received the estimated waiting time recently (Sep 2nd) not before the pandemic. I believed Ken calculated and gave me the estimated waiting time based on the recent situations.

M&T Glass managed to replace the sealed units for 20 windows I have in my house in one day. They were efficient and very nice. I highly recommend them for any glass job you need around your house.

I have been using M&T Glass for over 40 years to maintain and repair windows and doors in my rental properties. Great and reliable service.

Just wanted to share my experience as a beware to people considering using this company. During the installation of my window the installers had cracked the window and insured they would come back and replace it. We scheduled a date for them to return and my dad booked the entire day off work to be there and they never showed up. Trying to get a hold of them over phone is almost impossible. I cannot recommended anyone to use this company as you will be screwed over. Please go elsewhere.

Worst service I have ever experienced by any company. Ongoing since Feb 2022.

They do not complete the orders or installation (no fault to the installation guys). They do not install on scheduled dates because the schedule is such a mess. They promise discounts because of the inconvenience and charge the full price. Was offered refund and never got it. Had to call over and over, spoke with the manager Mo to get the credit and when they do it, they ask you to go look at your account to see that it was added and see the credit. They then cancel the credit and pretend that it was done. Currently disputing the transaction after 2 months of fighting with the M&T Glass. The bank even has proof that there was a pending credit and it disappeared and was never applied (I work for that bank).

You try contact them and good luck if the phone is ever answered. Even their installers and quote guys can’t get ahold of them. You can leave as many messages as you like but they have no intentions of calling you back.

Today (July 14) after a month and a half of trying to reach them, someone answers. Advised I had 1 window that was never installed (Since April 11), they don’t know if it was ordered of if they have it (I was told by Mo the Manager they would have it my May 26). Supposed to call me back before 5pm today and as always, no call back. When I called at 4: 50, someone picked up and then hung up after I called twice. To be clear, the installers were great but the service department is an absolute joke. If you can, look at other alternatives.

July 15, finally get a call from Mo the manager and he says that they ordered the wrong window (received May 26) and they they had to come a do a measurement again and will delayed u till end of Aug… as for the credit, he’s said he will take care of it next week.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Read the other comments people have left (Many of the good ones are first time reviews, this often equals fake reviews) and check the Facebook reviews. Even the installers won’t stick around.

40 years is a long time to be in business, run it like a sleazy car sales lot and soon they will be a thing of the past.

I'd been looking for some parts for a shower for a while, and had tried several big box stores and several local suppliers but did not have any luck locating the seals. A quick trip to M&T and wish I had just come here first, would have fixed that leaky shower months ago! The staff here were very friendly, super knowledegable and extremely helpful. Highly recommend and this will be my first stop from now on! Thanks!

I have been a customer of M&T glass for so many years and I just see some of the reviews here are harsh, specifically during the unusual times we are living in. Supply chain delays, staffing problems, absenteeism due to covid.

I think we should put some effort to communicate our concerns with small business owners instead of causing more harm to their businesses during those times.

M&T Glass has very honest and kind staff and I really don’t understand some of the comments here that make it look and sound like they are talking about a different business.

M&T Glass, you have my support, even if it is as little and simple as sharing this review.

With supply chain and labour issues I appreciate there has been some disruption in service but M&T has provided excellent customer service to keep me updated on the status of my order

Dealing with M&T Glass has been a year-long nightmare. We ordered several glass panes in August 2020. The measurement was not done properly to begin with, then the first set of window panes was installed. The panes all turned out to be defective. It took us a long time to get the company to acknowledge that there was an issue and to replace the first set. As it turned out, the second set was just as defective - you can see the pictures attached.
M&T said they would order a new - third - set from a different supplier. The panes were supposed to arrive end of August 2021 but arrived (according to the company) end of September. An appointment was made for the installation - no show. After numerous phone calls, I found out from the manager that they decided to verify the product quality that day. We re-scheduled to the following (last) week. I called again the day of the new appointment, and the manager was supposed to call me back 5 minutes later to update on the status - it has been a week and no calls or emails from anyone.
Completely unreliable, unresponsive, and irresponsible staff.

I had to replace a window because we’re moving. We placed the order over a month ago and we were told that it would be in within two weeks. It’s been over 7 weeks and still no window. We contacted them multiple times and every time we’ve been told to wait another week or so. Now it’s moving day and still no window.

Had a great experience with the company, they were able to fulfil my order on time, with short notice! Definitely recommend them!

Had a quote scheduled for 9 am this morning. Did not show up, so I phoned at 9: 30, they said they were running behind. Phoned again at 11: 30, still said they were running behind, so I cancelled the quote, but then they showed up minutes after. Nice guys, no problem with them, but clients should be notified if there will be significant delays.

Custom shower was installed by M&T staff today. Very friendly staff and professional service. Highly recommended.

I have called few glass companies to inquire about replacing a broken window. M&T Glass was the fastest and not the most expensive price. Installation was perfect.

Very poor service. They measured twice for the windows. When they finally arrived they didn't fit. The broke one trying to make it fit. Needed to measure 5 times for a shelf which was very basic. The new owners don't understand the glass business at all. Shop elsewhere.

Pretty disappointed with the customer service. We've been in contact with the store for at least 3 months and every time we call they never get back to us or follow up. We got a truck to bring in the table so they could measure it, they wouldn't specify if they lost the measurements or never took them. Apparently they never put our order in, saved our name or number. Absolutely unprofessional and weird. Was a complete waste of time. Never experienced this before. We came here because of the good reviews, but now I'm seeing all the negative reviews and it seems like this is a common issue. Please do better.

I referred M&T glass many times to my client's and had always positive feedback for excellent service and commitments, definitely I would recommend them for any renovations or upgrade and repairs.

M&T glass did some work for me to fix a leaky, foggy window. They only did part of what I asked for, although I repeated it speaking and in writing, and I found out later the leak was still there. When I contacted them they told me I was on a list, but couldn’t tell me where I was on the list, when they would be able to come over, and now are just ghosting me. Not recommend.

This was some of the worst service I have ever received. While I can't speak to the quality of work because we never actually got to that point, I can speak to how I was treated as a prospective customer trying to spend money with this company. I reached out to get a quote, and was told an estimator would come in 1-2 weeks. I followed up for 6 weeks to connect with the staff and was always told they were 'on it, and would follow up personally, soon'. My tenants waited for the fix this entire time and the staff kept telling me they were going to get to us. Eventually I went elsewhere, and never heard again. I just wish you'd have told me initially that my business wasn't worth your time so you didn't have to keep up with the empty promises.

The order was placed on Friday and supposed be ready next Tuesday. Two weeks and 5 calls later we were told that they don't have glass in stocks. So we canceled our order over phone with no apology. Not recommended

I have been a customer for ten years, typically getting glass tops for desks and tables in our home, but also for patio door latches and other difficult to find items. Sheldon has always taken exceptional care of me, and the products I purchased from M and T have always exceeded my expectations, especially measurement accuracy when I order glass table tops. I can't thank M and T enough for excellent service and quality work.

This place is FANTASTIC! I called in ahead of time and was pleasantly greeted on the phone. After discussing rough measurements on the phone for some custom cut glass we needed, they were able to give us a rough estimate that helped us make a final decision. Upon arrival at the store. The staff was lovely with helping us with our needs and filling out any information we might have missed and getting to know every detail to help ensure satisfaction. In a very timely fashion the staff were on hand and ready to cut the glass within the day. I am so very astounded with the services provided throughout this experience and I will definitely be returning if I need anymore glass or mirrors cut! 10/10 a wonderful experience all around.

Brought in a large glass table top to have the edge which had a chip in it filed down. They did a good job but they just loaded it into my van horizontally without warning me that would be a bad idea. It was cracked before I had it 2 blocks away. It was definitely M & T, and I did call and leave a message for Greg Gaudreau in March of 2018. Never got a call back. The original event occurred some years ago now when they were having all that construction around Cyrville Road and there were big potholes. All the more reason I would think to have warned me.
