Worst hospital - they employ doctors who conduct malpractice and even on WebMD are blasted from people who had horrible experiences here.

They treated someone who walked off
the street and used my name and provided no I. D. To which my license was suspended and an unpaid ambulance bill that went into collections.

The hoops I’ve had to jump through to rectify this is beyond unacceptable, Dr Fu I believe it was should not be in the medical field, go look at his reviews on web md - atrocious.

It is bad, as it can be.
Nurses indifferent to your needs and question. For every question their respond- don’t know.
Not helpful at all. Doctors are not bother to help. Simply look for the business. Particularly the Surgeons.
Not even try to do anything for pain relief!
Waiting all night in ER for
admittance- no medication provided.
I believe public should speak up!
Where is the OHIP money go!
More nurses do require!
I believe it demonstrates at every corner in the hospital room.

I unfortunately had a pregnancy come to a end because it was ectopic. The doctor in the ER said “it’s just a miscarriage, go home, you’ll pass the tissue and be okay” i then went to a different hospital because I was hunched over in pain at this point and that’s where my ectopic pregnancy was discovered”…. Had this ruptured and I bled out internally would the doctor have said sorry I thought it was “just a miscarriage” to my children and husband.
How dismissive…. How insensitive. I’ll never forget that day.

DONT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES THERE. Doctors are not knowledegable, I took my father there, he hada mild stroke, they discharged my father and said no terminal illness, my father passed away. They discharged my father while he was unconsious, they sent nurse home, nurse was a very young asian girl, my father had respitory issue, he was not able to breed but she connected food serum to him and made him worst. I took him again to hospital.medical staff of emergency were shocked how come they discharged my father in this condition. They told me that my father has not that chance of survival and moved him to end of life department. My father passed away after few days

Had an appointment here once. I was scared and nervous but I’m thankful for the team I had. They helped reassure me and ease my anxieties.

Both my wife and I recently had surgery at the hospital. Nurses were amazing and all our staff interactions were excellent. Thank you!

They've definitely improved. Although the wait is still long they move you along to different areas and you get some entertainment from the staff in between meaning they are joyful with patients. But today there was some confusion happening between the doctor and the nurse who comes in to tell you what to do next. 4 times they screwed up mainly because of communication between them. My poor dad was told to undress, dress, undress, get on the bed, get back in the chair, he gets to leave, he's going for a scan etc etc they weren't sure what they were doing but that's ok it seemed a bit busy. Their demeanor made up for it and he went home with good results. Thank you to Mackenzie Health Emergency

Years after attending the stepping stones mental health day program, I am still traumatized by the prejudice, contempt, invalidation, and discouragement I received from therapist Anne Schaffer- Pullan. I still can't get the image of her rolling her eyes at me out of my mind.

Last month I attended Mackenzie Health Fracture Clinic. Here are the facts of what occurred.you be the judge of whether or not Kevin O'Grady and his staff member are breaking any procedures, rules, regulations, protocols, or just flat out criminally negligent. I will allow you to judge:

1) I went to see Kevin for damaged hand. I was referred to him. I did not choose him or research him beforehand.

2) He chose not to treat me. I did not agree. We discussed possible legal malpractice law suits should I have any major issues like not being able to work or other issues to the quality of my life due to my hand being so useless. He still chose not to treat me.

3) He then called his staff member into the room (Philippino women in her thirties). This stranger to the matter started to give her medical opinion and advised me that she was on the side of the doctor.

4) The staff member entering the room was against the rules and procedure that a doctor and patient should follow. That was against the law. I did not want to share any confidential medical history with the staff member. She was only called in because Kevin said "He wanted to protect himself".

5) Again, I am a legal professional for over a decade. I am not going to give me legal opinion on this medical malpractice and criminal negligence that occurred. I just want it to be known that my rights were violated and a stranger entered the room.

6) I am demanding that the staff member and Kevin be held responsible for the injuries they caused me today. I take my life and confidential information very seriously and try to protect it. I demand the staff member be sanctioned for entering the room and giving me unsolicited medical advice.

7) I am demanding Kevin be removed from his role at Mackenzie Health. I believe that even in times of nervousness or anxiety, a doctor should never breach or violate the doctor patient confidentiality in this plain and open manner.

I will be speaking to lawyer and doctor. Either way I will be filing a suit and constitutional charter case against the hospital and the staff that saw me today. I must advocate for my health and protect my privacy, as is my right. I will be speaking to the police regarding any privacy and PIPEDA crimes.

This message goes out to Dr Wayne Samsoonda and his day-time surgery team. He is a Urologist who practices out of MacKenzie Health. Dr Samsoonda is knowledgeable, skillful and important asset to our Canadian healthcare system. Thank you for your help with my procedure.

I arrived at the hospital at 11 pm, and it is now 02: 00 am. Unfortunately, I twisted my ankle and I'm experiencing excruciating pain and noticeable swelling. After undergoing an X-ray, I have been waiting for the doctor to see me for what feels like an eternity. When I expressed my concern about the lengthy wait, the nurse on duty simply dismissed it, saying, "It is what it is. "

I find myself sitting in a wheelchair, enduring the agony in my foot for four long hours, without anyone showing any concern or providing adequate assistance. As a nursing student, I have been taught to prioritize patient care and empathy, but the nurses here seem to have a different approach.

Despite my condition, all I was advised to do was put an ice bag on my ankle, take care of myself, and take Tylenol for the pain. I am deeply disappointed with the lack of attention and support I have received at this hospital. I would strongly advise against seeking treatment here.

Worst emergecy department. Staff are all grumpy ang harsh. Heard and saw them how they treat patients. They think theyre the smartest people. Waited 2 hours nothing happened.left without seeing a doctor. Bp 204/110 not critical enough for a doctor to see me in 2 hours.

Dr bolous from the Shaw clinic is the worst psychiatrist I ever heard of. Refusing to see the parent to even get another view of what is happening. My son missed an appointment so she declined to continue his medication’s until he see her again so he won’t have medication’s for anxiety, routine medication until she gets more money.

This was our first time coming to this hospital for the ED. The staff are proficient, courteous and patient, and the hospital appears to have an effective triage system. Teams are well-organized and the interhospital communications and hand-offs were straightforward and without issue. Thank you to the many dedicated staff members who attended to us and for tending to our healthcare needs. We very much appreciate your efforts and care.

Came to emerg on Tuesday was having cloudy vision, Red painful eyes with sensitivity yo lights. Doctor swears it is just pink eye and to take advil. Gradually got worst and by Friday sent back to the ER.at Sunnybrook and mentioned that my eyes are very inflamed and that it needs to be seen right away and dealt with ASAP.

In other words, instead of rushing patience who take the time to visit the hospital for pain, take extra time to ensure diagnosis is correct.

Shoutout to SUNNYBROOK for helping me keep my vision.

I had a nuclear stress test today. Everything from check-in to completing the actual test went well. The staff were great and deserve to be recognized for there amazing efforts.

I had experienced 3-4 hours of excruciating lower back pain at home and ended up going to the ER. Because of the 10 out of 10 pain, I was able to get through intake and treatment very quickly. The staff (Jeff, nurses and technicians) were incredibly helpful and patient with me as I worked through the pain until the meds could take effect.

Let me tell you, being able to relax my lower back after 4-5 hours of being clenched was the BEST! I was very relieved (as was my wife and daughter) that the CT scan showed it was only a 6 mm stone and not something more serious.

Highly recommend this facility to folks in the area.

Please beware going to psychiatrists. Please beware of hospital “mental health” ED’s and units. Please beware all those on long waiting lists for psychiatrists. Do not waste that precious time. It won’t be worth it. 95% chance psychiatrists and psychiatry will be extremely harmful. It is very faulty. Almost all of it is personalities and individual character in them and not professionalism. Especially these days. Try to find the right kind of help for yourself or loved one. You may be way off base thinking psychiatrists etc.in the first place. It really doesn’t even apply in the majority of cases.

I know we all do not have the following choice, but if you do, ALWAYS have a buddy system (family or friend etc.). Never go alone. Never be alone with a psychiatrist at anytime (and a colleague of theirs wouldn’t be a legitimate option). Try your best not to ever be alone with them. You need a witness.

When I opened here to post… and read the post by someone just a few hours earlier… it was quite the timing. I know how many…

Please be aware of the power psychiatrists have been given. It is dangerous. And patients are given zero rights. They (psychiatrists et al) know this, they use it. To the point of even abuse. They will get away with it.

The most vulnerable as to any rights being actually granted and/or respected by anyone are “mental health” patients.

The very worst of culprits as to profiling, stigmatizing, disrespect about mental health in absolutely any case at all are actually the majority of psychiatrists and staff in MH themselves. The degree of inaccuracies, misdiagnosis, incompetence, negligence, biases, recklessness, egos, and even deliberate falsifying, irresponsible behaviours by too many MH “healthcare providers”, is unacceptable.

This hospital’s experience was something I will always regret allowing myself to be subjected to.
Please just be AWARE and be very careful, as best you can.

Experience in the Emergency Department is horrific. One of the nurses there, seems like Filipino woman (don’t her name) but not difficult to find out as her voice is super loud. She does not know how to do her job properly. Instead of helping patients, she speaks in a super loud voice, walking back and forth but doing nothing meaningful. Her voice is disturbing, especially in the waiting area were is filled with patients at mid-night. She even yelled out to her colleagues who is working across the room and told her: ” you are on your own now! I’m going home. ” in front of full house of patients! Very unprofessional and disrespectful to her colleague who has to manage many patients. Not sure how good she is as a nurse but she definitely needs trainings in soft skills, communication skills and professional presence.

Today I had a colonoscopy at Mackenzie Health, specifically at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital. This was a routine test based on my age. Although a colonoscopy isn’t one of the most pleasant experiences, I highly recommend taking these preventative measures so that we can stay healthy and avoid surprise complications.

I want to give a shout-out to the staff at the hospital. My entire experience there was flawless. Registration at the self-serve kiosk was easy and quick, I was greeted by friendly people at every stage of my visit, the nursing staff and the physician were incredibly friendly and they kept me comfortable and informed at all times. I was also very impressed at the frequent checks of my armband and date of birth. To some this may seem like overkill, but this is how they make sure errors are avoided and you’re getting the right treatment or procedure.

I’m an employee of Mackenzie Health. I’m very proud to work at such a great organization with such an amazing team. And as a resident of York Region, I’m also happy to know that we have next-level quality health care in our our own community. Thank you!

I have been to this hospital a few times now and I understand that everyone’s experiences can be different but for me this is by far the best health care facility I’ve been to around the gta today I came back home from having a broken finger obviously I was not the main priority for the staff working but there are other much higher priority cases that they must attend to so I didn’t mind the wait at all and when they got to me they were fast friendly knowledgeable and professional. Thank you Mackenzie Health
