I have been to this place multiple times! For breakfast, lunch and dinner. They do it all! It's an awesome sports like pub, with beyond great food and drinks at a reasonable price! Perfect for any occasion! The service has also always been good! And they have a wonderful outdoor patio!

First time visiting MacKenzie Pub. Warm welcoming greeting upon entry. Great inviting atmosphere & really nice flooring and decor.
Service was phenomenal, food came out very quickly and everything came out with the perfect temperature and it all tasted great.

Your fish and chips can’t be beat. We need a Mackenzie in Barrie Ont. I tell people how great your food is and they say oh we don’t have one here.

Waited for over an hour for the food to come out poorly made and bland. Service was terrible, waited more than 10 minutes to order and had to hail multiple waitresses to get the bill. I do not reccomend this

Stopped in for lunch for the first time, We were seated on the patio, surrounded by beautiful flowers, we had the pleasure of Jennifer as our server, she was very efficient and fast, one of the most honest and polite servers I’ve experienced in a long time. She gave the best recommendation for food! Food was amazing and huge portions.also I love that there is a manger on hand helping staff.thanks for a great first experience! I definitely recommend and will be back!

Came here with my family a few nights ago and had an amazing time. Clean and friendly atmosphere, large portions and great prices. Definitely will be coming back!

This place is amazing. The food is ALWAYS spot on. The service is fast and friendly. I’ve been a regular for years now and will continue. I recommend this to anyone that asks for a place to try.

We've always had great meals there, beit breakfast, lunch or dinner. Hosts are very nice and service is reasonably quick. Great for games on TVs and nice outdoor patio too

Update 2023 - recently, there have been staff changes throughout including the kitchen staff. Service in the day time is great however in the evening hours - not great and or questionable! There are significant delays.other orders received before your own… raising issue or friendly concern gets you the “pass the buck treatment” …not happy at all over last few dinners 3-5 at the very least and really no respect or compassion with regard to outcome whether by staff on hand or Manager working…

Food and service is good.
Just a quick note, portion size is huge so check with server before ordering anything.

We have always tried to support this pub since it opened. I can tell you it's a must stop! Raj and the staff know how to pivot for your needs at any time. They now have cauliflower bites which work in wraps! Then you have Ashley at the bar who always puts a smile on our face with her awesome service! Must stop! Cheers team!

Been eating here more or less since they opened. Food quality is reliable, staff are friendly and prices are reasonable. During the pandemic we have ordered often to help support our local businesses and are rarely disappointed, their take out system is good, they deliver quickly and prices are still reasonable. Tonight I had the butter chicken, it was perfect for me, rice was fluffy, butter chicken was plentiful and not too spicy. Food arrived piping hot and came with naan bread (a little stale, but still good for dipping) and a very fresh and tasty tomato/cucumber/onion salad. I was even more pleased when I saw the card in the package announcing that they now have their own delivery. I will definitely give Skip The Dishes a miss and pay them directly for delivery - Skip is not giving anyone a break during the pandemic and i'd rather not patronize them if I have a choice. Great option for traditional pub food, pastas, curries and flat bread.

That was then, this is now. Mackenzie Pub was our go to for food and a pint before the pandemic. Ordered in from them throughout the pandemic, tried their own delivery - big mistake, took 70 minutes to get food to my home that's 5 minutes away.

Slowly started to use this restaurant less and less, quality of takout food declined and just wasn't enjoyable in presentation or taste as well as food didn't match menu description, like missing sauce on schnitzel or a 'mediterranean sauce' that isn't a sauce at all, just some chopped veg.

Decided to give them another try and visited their patio, which looked very inviting. Big mistake. Ordered chicken pot pie - it was a soggy lump of goo, seemed like the pie had been microwaved (bye bye crispy pastry if you ever existed) and then covered up with a flavourless cream sauce. Never understood why they serve cider with ice - they don't serve beer with ice - just don't get it,

The patio itself was nicely arranged, but the seating is weird - looks nice, but definitely not dining seats - very uncomfortable frame and only comfy if you recline. Then after about half an hour the mosquitos came out to feast on us. Not an enjoyable meal or a comfortable experience. That was the last chance for this restaurant. We wont eat inside because they seem to have limited lighting - I had to use my phone last time to read the menu and the owner still doesn't know what's going on - he came to take our order for some reason, well after we'd placed it with the waitress.

Me and some friends went a few nights ago and sat on the patio. The service was great and we took a few recommendations of appetizers from our server Amber who was awesome! We we will definitely be back!

This place has considerably gone worse over the last couple of years. From missing items through take out to booking a party of 20 for lunch and screwing up the booking with no remorse. Even when they find the reservation on a different page. Drive across the street, you'll get better service and food. We only booked reservation because of the patio. NEVER AGAIN!

Rating 5 stars because the service is incredible, thanks to servers like Meaghan. Great patio too, will definitely be coming back for that & her excellent service. Need more waitresses like her.

Food is amazing here been there many times and haven't found anything on the menu I don't like keep up the great work.

Came here a few days ago and had Jennifer as our server, she was Amazing! Fun, attentive always making sure we were OK made the visit so much better! Food was also really good!

Stopped in for lunch with some friends and enjoyed wings and a pint on the patio. Service was outstanding and polite, wings were on point and the pints were cold. Definitely recommend stopping in if you have the opportunity.

Drinks are watered-down and poorly made. Location was way understaffed on a Sunday evening. Service was incredibly slow and food was underwhelming. Do not recommend and won't be coming back.

If you're looking for a beautiful dog friendly patio, fast service with a smile, this is the best spot in the Durham region hands down! The food is amazing with a wide selection of beer and cocktails at the most reasonable price even after all the inflation we have been going through. I highly recommend this spot, I promise you won't be disappointed! Cheers!

Great local craft beer Falcon Brewing Ajax. Friendly staff and better than most food fare. TV for sports viewing

My favourite pub to visit in Ajax! Love the atmosphere for watching games, no better place to watch sports. Amazing specials every single day of the week. Incredibly impressive menu that has something for everyone on it! The food is always so fresh and flavourful. Service is consistently top notch and the servers never miss a beat.
Very clean place, bathrooms are always well stocked and maintained. The patio in the summer is easily the best in town, flowers all over creating a beautiful environment, they even have tv’s outside! Can’t wait to visit again.
