Macklem's Baby Carriage & Toys

We are the first-time parents. We were searching for a particular stroller that we couldn't find anywhere. Eventually, we found it in our old neighbourhood at Macklem’s. The store has an excellent stock and helpful staff who assisted us in saving a few hundred dollars on our purchase. We were also able to place an order for something that was not in stock. However, due to the baby arriving earlier than expected, we went to the hospital without a hospital bag. During the delivery, my husband had to quickly organize everything we needed. Luckily, the staff at Macklem’s were amazing and helped him prepare almost everything we required, even a car seat which we should have bought earlier;). We always remember the day our son was born and how Macklem’s helped us during that important time in our life.

38 years ago we shopped at Macklem's for our first son, second, third and 4th! We purchased cribs, strollers, baby stuff and even an English Pram! And we still have the Pram in perfect condition! Today we are shopping for our first grandson and Debbie and Bill are still the Best! Best Service! Best Products! And so knowledgeable! Thank you Debbie and Bill for your Kindness and the Best selection of Teddy Bears! So glad you are still OPEN! XO

Fantastic demonstration of strollers with Natasha. We were Apprehensive and unsure of what we needed in terms of a crib, stroller and car seat. Natasha was truly wonderful with us, she took the time to explain and show us how all the strollers fold. Though we didn’t purchase anything today because we are choosing to register/ create a baby registry with Macklem’s. Our favourite stroller is the uppababy Vista. However, it was a close tie with Nuna Mixx. Thank you for being patient with us.

I remember coming to MacKlem's when I was younger and said to myself that when I have a baby I was going to come there. I absolutely loved the store and it has gone through just a few changes since then. I love that there are is such a selection of options to choose from. The staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. I can't wait to buy all the Disney and sloth stuff for my bestie who is expecting her new baby soon.

Finally I was able to find a store with people who actually know what they are talking about. After leaving I felt so confident in my stroller choice. Nice to see a business still exists who actually care about its customers needs and not just a sale.

For the first time, my husband and I went to this store without any prior experience with strollers. Jennifer, spent over an hour with us explaining the benefits, drawbacks, and features of each model and brand. We left there knowing exactly what we wanted and needed in a stroller because she was so kind and knowledgeable.

After shopping at a number of baby stores and looking for the best deals when you register, I can assure you that Macklem's has the best baby registry perks. We recently finished our registry, and the store gave us a $500 gift card after completing our registry.

At the time, we were renovating our home. Also, we didn't want anything which would belong to the baby in the house until the Renos finished. Macklems waited until we were ready by storing everything in their warehouse. Even the delivery was free.

Think about what I've said. There is no other business that can provide you with the level of service we experienced. Thumbs up!

This store came highly recommended by my co worker. I don’t live in the area, so I had to make a special trip from newmarket. What a fabulous baby store. I acquired so much knowledge from the young blonde lady who help us. Absolutely, worth the trip to Macklems if you aren’t local. If you are looking for a place who can help guide you and aid in making the right choice for a stroller. I strongly suggest you go to Macklems Seriously, this place is a wonderful. Oh and the blonde lady wasn’t pushy to make a sale either.

Tickled pink over Macklems. 35 years ago My late husband (God Bless his soul) and I bought a Silver Cross pram from them. Let me tell you, I could go one all day about the pram, its such a beautiful piece- pushed my 4 children in it for many years.

Elizabeth is expecting her 1st child come spring. We visited Macklems because this is the ONLY place to go! Customer service is stellar! A pillar in the community since the 1940’s. Sad to know Silver Cross prams aren’t being brought into Canada any longer. I gifted Elizabeth with the closest thing- Silver Cross. Good heavens how much strollers have evolved since my childbearing days. Happy soon to be grandmother thanks you for the excellent Service Macklems

This store has a lovely selection of baby items. They even carry Jellycat products, most of which I have not been able to find at other retailers. Employees are always very friendly. We will continue to come here since the product quality and selection is great.

Drove from Markham to shop at this store. My cousin recommend them. Customer service was outstanding. This is why it was all worth my commute. Excellent product knowledge too. We are happy we picked Macklem’s to register at. Generous baby registry rewards. At the end we will get a $500.00 Macklem’s gift card from them. Very happy with our experience.

Been to this store many times. Never had any issues with returns or help. Staff is friendly and store is always clean.

The ladies at Macklems are extremely helpful when you’re trying to figure out what will work best for your family. We bought my first daughters crib and dresser there as well as both convertible car seats and I’m about to go buy a new stroller for our second daughter on the way. They let us try the car seats in our vehicle to make sure they fit well before we purchased them and I will never go anywhere else for big ticket items for our babes!

Macklem’s has been the source for essentially all of our baby gear, Particularly the larger purchases, since the beginning. They have inventory, the prices are competitive, but most importantly they know the product, and can give excellent advice to new parents. These folks won’t won't steer you wrong! Thumbs up

By far the friendliest and most accommodating service we have ever found in the GTA. One special situation that really touched our hearts is when they brought in special "preemie" sized outfits for our baby. We have had a lot of trouble finding clothes and baby items for our baby and Macklem's really went above and beyond to assist us. The customer service experience at Macklem's has been 5/5 every time I've been there. The people who work there are truly knowledgeable about the products they carry and take the time to make sure the customer is making an informed decision.
A diaper bag I bought there ripped on the inside and when I took it back, the manager took excellent care of the issue. I didn't have a receipt and she figured out how to find the purchase in the system, contacted the company on my behalf while I waited, and replaced the bag for me on the spot. Painless!

Really nice boutique! Purchased a Bugaboo Fox. Excellent service, staff was informative and helpful. Waiting on the Ubabuv Crib with the dresser to arrive. A lot of high end baby stuff at Macklem’s.love to support businesses like them.

The owners are just the best. I have no words to describe how caring they are and how amazing they are with customers (me and my kiddos). I am trying to keep a certain amount of privacy so I cannot specify reasons but I just have to say the owners are simply god sent.

Thrilled to have this store in our community. Shopped at Macklems for my first child and have always received excellent customer service. Well. Covid hit and now baby number two is on the way. Decided to go back to Macklems and was just thrilled! During covid lockdown they renovated their location, it just marvellous, well organized with plenty of nice things for mom and baby!

Exceptional service. I dropped off my damaged stroller and forwarded the air Canada claim email to the them, then they took care of everything. Stroller was ready for pick up within 3 days.

There is a reason why this company has been in business for as long as they have. My wife (Nicole) and I bought an Uppababy Vista V2, Dutailier Pomelo crib and dresser from Macklems and were thrilled with our shopping experience. Macklems even offered to Deliver/Drop off our purchase to our home, the very next day, at No charge. Nicole and I Cannot say enough good things about this place.

This place is amazing! On my stroller, they fixed two tire tubes, added a tire guard and bolted my stroller cover on and I paid very little for all of this work they did and they did all of this when they were "supposed" to be closed for renovations! I tried to give a tip, but they do not take tips, so they suggested that I write a review for them, so here I am. They are honest, reasonable and go above and beyond to help customers! I cannot say enough good things about these people. Macklem's is a life saver for busy moms like myself! Go there, get your stroller fixed and while waiting, enjoy a stroll along Roncesvalles; trust me, you will not regret it.

Impeccable customer service. We called about baby gates at 3pm on a Saturday, and the baby gates were delivered to our house by 5pm AT NO COST, despite their closing time being 4pm. Just because they cared, and because they pride themselves on excellent service. We’ve shopped at the competitor before (west coast kids) because it’s closer, but their service has always been so disappointing. It’s popular, and they make you feel that way when they claim to be too busy for questions.
This business really impressed us and we’ll be using them for our baby needs from now on.

I had an amazing experience with this store, they found everything I was looking for, then hand delivered everything the same day, for FREE and added in a special gift of organic baby wipes and bottle wash, such a nice touch in this crazy time, im happy I could give my money to this store opposed to a big box store or amazon, highly recommend!
