Bought Feb 2021……2nd phase! Closing was to be June 2022 but delayed because of covid. Tentative closing summer of 2023.
Transactions went smoothly along with upgrades.
Communication with buyers has been good. Received “first unavoidable”delay letter with two feel good letters. Now waiting on “2nd unavoidable delay” notice. Hoping MacPherson’s honours our contract!

My partner and I bought our first home in February of this year - the process was a little stressful, but with constant contact from the sales reps it went by so quickly. We met with Amanda and Christine for our decor appointment and they were so incredible and we really enjoyed every moment of our appointment. We are set to close for next July and are so excited. Very impressed with the customer service!

I have found that this company to be discriminated and racist as my family and I have tried to purchase 3 homes at their Stayner location and due to lack of communication and unprofessional service we were unable to get through. I have written letter to Russell Watkins the President of the company and no response. I have spoken with Stephanie Pasquel the director of sales she was rude and unprofessional. Everyone has just been given us a hard time. This is the worst builder I have ever dealt for being a first time home buyer and my parents have bought new homes in their past and this was the first time they ever had a hard time and was not cooperative and helpful, this was going to be their retirement home. Don't buy from this builder as my family and I felt discriminated and felt this was a racist situation and was mistreated.
I will taken this further, as home builders are there suppose to help you find your dream home and work with you not the opposite.

I have found deficiencies in our home that they have fight tooth and nail to NOT fix or take forever to actually fix. Quite a few things that were not installed or done properly which led to damages - no surprise that they werent willing to fix. Customer service is lacking. Finishes are just ok. Would not buy with them again.

If the system would allow me to rate them a zero, I would. Even one star is too many. Please save yourselves and walk away. My daughter and son in law are still going through the pains of waiting for their house to be built. They have been lied too on several occasions which have lead them to be trapped into decisions that they wouldn't have made had they known the truth. Their prices for upgrades and floorplan changes are ludicrous and their selection is horrible; of course you wont know that until you're well passed your 10 day window to get out of the deal and then you'll be locked in just like they are. Please warn anyone you know and avoid any dealings with this company.

Terrible customer service. Found multiple deficiencies throughout my home and they did not want to fix them. Very disappointed.

We bought almost two years ago now. We've had several delays, which were expected so it wasn't a big deal. The sales office (Jennifer Wooton) were great, very patient and worked with us. The staff at the office where we picked all the kitchen and floor designs were very good to work with. Kaitlyn at the head office was a pleasure to work with, responsive and empathetic. We haven't moved in yet, hopefully in about 3 weeks. Would I deal with them again; definitely.

I do not recommend this builder to anyone looking to have a smooth, painless move into a new build. We have been in our home in Fergus since August 2018 and are still dealing with our original deficiency list. We have been threatened by some of the hired tradesman, had our keys taken by a tradesperson and have had multiple issues with customer service. Unbelievably poor experience, and will never be purchasing from MacPherson again. Take these reviews seriously and do your homework before you buy from this builder.

Macpherson Builder, I don't recommend this builder to none one.the trades that they use are terrible, they suppose to follow code on exhaust fan vent outside. They use wrong flaps on the exterior side so winds come in through and it condensate because when is could and started to leak because poor workmanship of HVAV People.
Also tiles are terrible workmanship too.you name it all, bad experience.

MacPherson really has stood out compared to the other builders we considered. The quality, service and attention to detail in the homes and communities they build are second to none.

I really loved dealing with MacPherson and their team of amazing employees. Design, build and customer service was above what I had expected.

Best design in Collingwood and Stayner. Very well built. Excellent customer service and great selection of upgrades.

I lucked out and got a decent build from macpherson, but any deficiencies good luck, customer service is poor at best and their workmanship to fix any issues is even worse. They tried to spray foam a foundation crack an say thats a proper fix, big suprise when it leaked in spring and had to acually get a professional to inject the crack properly under tarion warranty, who then told the builder they were idiots for even attempting a shoddy repair like that. They raised my garage man door because the grade was too high for the garage floor and didnt bother covering up the hole under the door, concrete finally got poored after 6 months of pestering them, the job they did was so poor the concrete you could push it out by hand and because they left the door framing in under the sill, it had all rotted, so i fought with them for 6 months to fix it properly they wouldn't come and tarion wouldnt warranty their poor job. I poored the sill myself properly with rebar, with literally no experience in doing this kind of work, come stop by my place with your concrete guy and ill show him how to poor concrete properly and maybe to make me happy cut me a cheque for 300$ for the material i had to buy to fix your poor excuse for " quality workmanship ". If your looking for a quality builder stop lookong at these guys they are a joke and id rather get a beginners woodworking class to build my next home before these guys.
